About: I’ve been working with animals for two years now as a vet assistant, and have been enriching them for the same amount of time. I’ve seen every type of dog, from giant to small and will always be ready for anything. At the moment I’m looking for a full or part time job, so I’ll be free for dog sitting overnight or even dog sitting for a week or so on end. Once I do get a job, my availability will drop and I’ll only be able to work one nights on weekdays or two nights on weekends. However the client has played with and enriched the animal or animals, I shall use that same method. Especially if the animal, isn’t to keen to play with strangers.
About: I have been around animals of all shapes and sizes my whole life. I am a vet tech within the army so I do have the medical training to care for pets. I have a 6 year old dog that I trained as a puppy so I do have experience with training. Currently I have plenty of time to care for pets and have very few commitments that would require me to not be available during the week. With my vet tech experience I am knowledgeable of pet body language and care. I make it a priority to keep animals happy and healthy according to the specific pets needs.
About: Ive been caring for dogs since 2010. From Shih tzus to Weimaraners. I am very understanding of dogs’ needs at any ages, especially senior dogs. For the past 6 years I’ve been caring for cats as well, fully getting to know what goes into cat care. Caring for cats has been such a great experience. I’ve become close to an expert when anticipating a cats needs and wants. I’m comfortable with cats that are super friendly to cats that are super shy and keep to themselves. I currently have full availbility and can care for pets anytime during the day, afternoon, evening and overnight. I am very flexible with my schedule and can work with most schedules. I never leave my dogs unattended in the backyard because while it is completely fenced off they are curious and can sometimes find ways to go get into things. I also never let them off the leash in the front yard. I monitor eating time to make sure no one eats the others food. I also specially prepare their food based on needs (vitamins, mix-ins, microwaving food, etc). Also putting on coats or sweaters if it’s too cold. For my cat I never let her go outside so I’m very diligent when I let the dogs out to the backyard. I prepare her food as well similar methods to the dogs. I keep up with her nail trimming and brushing as well as keep her litter box clean and tidy. They all have had different medications at different times so im very use to keeping track of different medications needed per pet. When weve had chincillas, guinea pigs and fish, Im always very attentive to how they are. This entails monitoring them if they are getting time outside of their enclosure, cleaning up after them and making sure the other animals in home are respectful of their space :). Many times I have had to redirect my cat away from the fish tank with either a churu treat or toy lol :)

About: I've always grown up having dog. Our first was a greyhound (named Moonlight) rescued from the racetracks. Around age 9 we got another dog a Chihuahua--pekingese mix (named Mercury). In my twenties I adopted a bichon-frise mixed named Apollo and a few years later an orange tabby cat named Oogie. After moving to Upland from Los Angeles I am looking to restablish myself as a pet care taker. I have a natural way with animals, making them very comfortable in my care.
About: I’ve had pets ranging from dogs and cats to fish and birds to even a chinchilla. I have always had the softest heart for animals (and I’m always my pet’s favorite human :)) Apart from taking care of my own pets for my whole life, as I believe you can’t live without them, I have also taken care of friend’s, family’s, and neighbor’s pets whenever necessary. I currently work as a Behavioral Technician for clients with Autism. I follow Behavior Intervention Plans using ABA during each session. With that being said, I currently am scheduled M-F 3:30-7:30pm. As this is my priority, I am able to stay/drop by with your pet at any other time. I am also a full time college student, so I truly appreciate your patience with my busy schedule! On the weekends, I am able to care for your pet as long as you would like if I have no prior obligations. It also must be booked by the Wednesday prior (if I am available that weekend). The young Boxer I care for is a fun, loving, cuddly, and active pup. I attend to his needs during the day by making sure he is fed and let out as often as necessary, as well as taking him on walks and playing with his favorite toys. I am able to provide whatever accommodations is necessary to ease your pet while their parents are away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
