About: I’ve been caring for animals for years through my own pets and fostering experience. I have two 9-year-old dogs that I’ve raised since they were puppies, so I’m comfortable with everything from daily walks and playtime to maintaining routines and recognizing when a pet needs extra attention. I also live in a home that fosters cats of all ages, giving me hands-on experience caring for kittens, adult cats, and those with different personalities and needs. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always strive to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where they feel comfortable and cared for like family. I work remotely during the week, which gives me flexibility to provide attentive care throughout the day. I’m also available on weekends, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to walks, drop-in visits, playtime, or overnight care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment and take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and needs. I follow all care instructions closely and ensure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection so they feel safe and at home while you’re away.

Meet Amy Amy has owned and cared for both dogs and cats for many years. About: Growing up with dogs I realize all dogs are good dogs but it takes time to understand them and build trust. It doesn’t matter if your dog is in training or well trained already, I’m ready to give them a home away from home while you are busy. I work from home and I am home most of the time. Your dogs will get the same attention and care I give my own three dogs. If you have a certain schedule, such as feeding and potty, please let me know. My dogs roam free around the house and yours are welcome to as well. They will also be able go in and out of the house into the yard freely while I am home. Please note that the house is partially fenced and smaller dogs can slip under the gate.

About: I have had almost every type of animal you can think of. From a cat to a horn worm. I can take care of birds, fish, hamsters, pigs, rats, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, chinchillas, chickens, and a lot more. If you have a pet I haven’t taken care of I am willing to learn.i can do anything from cleaning, feeding, bathing, playing, walking or anything else you need me to do. I am not afraid of any type of animal and love all. I am doing this because it’s the one thing I’m good at and don’t want to get a regular job that I really don’t care about. It also helps me spoil my animals like they deserve. I am pretty young but that doesn’t affect how dedicated I am to animals. I currently only work eight hours a week at my retail job. I am a college student full time but a lot of my classes are online so i'm home most of the time. Not only for my own experience, but also from my professional experience, I know that every pet has different needs. That can vary from diet, regular care, medication, walks, ets. Whether I am caring for your pet in my home or yours, I am very serious about following your care instructions provided. The way that I would want someone to care for my own pets is the manner that I care for others pets.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs my whole life. I can help your puppy be the best version of themselves; I can take great care of your senior dog too. I’m a pro At popping pills in their mouth or giving supplements to any kind of oral medication. I’m currently a stay at home dog auntie so if you need me I’ll be there. Me and Louise go for coffee and other short walks throughout the day, so it will be nice to have someone to take along for the ride or for Louise to play with. I have a fenced yard and two extra crates under our covered patio so there’s that. I can also run your fur child for a coffee/potty break if that’s what they need. Whatever they or you need I’m there. Currently I’m not working so I provide a constant care environment for your pets. It is always a pleasure for us (Louise and I) to have a new pup over. I have a fully fenced backyard and I love to have your pups over. I hang out under the covered patio all day with them. That’s what my house is like. Especially because we have an unfenced pool and it’s only happened once but it did happen; one pup fell in and had to be rescued, I jumped in and got him out. No big deal.

About: As a pet owner myself I understand the love and patience it takes to care for our animals. Growing up I’ve always had an animal involved in my life and I learned the best ways to keep them happy and healthy. I can provide my time, energy, and friendship to your pets. I understand schedules very well and will do my absolute best at keeping your fur baby accustom to your wishes. I am very inclusive of cats too! As I have had cats for years until I recently moved. Now they live their happy lives with my mother. If you do have any special requests, I am very open at accommodating your and your pets needs. Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 3,601 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Scotland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Scotland. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Scotland.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Scotland. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
