About: Hi! My name is Meghan. I love dogs and cats and have helped sit and walk my friends’ dogs over the years. I grew up with pets too. I am a stay at home mom of 4 boys, so I am used to balancing responsibility, patience, and attention to detail. You can be confident your pets will be well taken care of while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your fur babies! 🐶🐱 I am a stay at home mom, so my schedule is very flexible. I have lots of time to play with, walk and care for your pets! My main goal is to make you and your pet(s) feel comfortable and confident while you’re away! Communication is key so please reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or even if you forgot to water a plant while you’re gone. I’m here to help!
About: Growing up with dogs I realize all dogs are good dogs but it takes time to understand them and build trust. It doesn’t matter if your dog is in training or well trained already, I’m ready to give them a home away from home while you are busy. I work from home and I am home most of the time. Your dogs will get the same attention and care I give my own three dogs. If you have a certain schedule, such as feeding and potty, please let me know. My dogs roam free around the house and yours are welcome to as well. They will also be able go in and out of the house into the yard freely while I am home. Please note that the house is partially fenced and smaller dogs can slip under the gate.

About: I enjoy taking care of animals and making sure they have the care they need! I also have a background in veterinary care which exposed me to a variety of breeds and behaviors! I'm currently working full time with shift hours 4:00 am-12:30 pm! I'm looking to fill the rest of my day caring for pets and helping pet parents where I can! I am more than comfortable with any breed and any size! I will follow any directions given to me on how to properly care for your babies!
About: I’ve always had a natural love for dogs and enjoy being active, patient, and dependable. What sets me apart is that I treat every dog with genuine care, attention, and respect. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine because I am free Tuesday through Friday and can dedicate that time to walks, visits, and giving pets my full attention. I enjoy staying active, so dog walking fits naturally into my schedule. I care for pets in a safe, calm, and respectful way whether I am in my home or a client’s home. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep pets on their normal routine, and make sure they have fresh water, attention, exercise, and a comfortable environment. For walks, I focus on safety, patience, and making sure each dog gets the care and activity they need.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, snakes, tortoises, you name it! People have relied on my to take care of their animals and bring them home safely. I am currently fully available looking to do this full time. I am looking to have a career that fits my needs like Rover can. I have a fenced in yard and no dogs. I have 5 cats, but they stay out of sight. My home is full of adults, no children.
“Katherine was a good sitter for Smokey. She followed the list I left her & was very communicative. She really helped me out on short notice. Would recommend for Drop In Visits.”
About: My first dog was a saint bernard. Since then I've had dogs of various sizes. Good experience with big dogs. I have 2 dogs of my own, a pitt and a terrier, both which have been raised since puppy. I can administer medicine and bathe them! “Juri was a wonderful sitter for our cats and guinea pigs. She is professional and courteous. She kept us well informed and completed the tasks we needed of her each visit. We look forward to booking Juri again in the fututre.”

About: I grew up around dogs. I cannot remember a time in my life in which I did not own a dog. I love dogs with all my heart. Friends and family have always trusted me with their fur babies to dog sit and care and love them. I am also usually tasked with training their dogs to do basic commands. I have a lot of experience with dogs of all breeds. I have a couple years of experience volunteering at my local animal shelter, and even have an adorable Valley Bulldog mix as a result of volunteering. I could not resist adopting at least one of my shelter babies! I also currently own a black lab. I love my dogs sooo much, and I will take care of yours as I do mine. I work in the education field, so my schedule is FULLY OPEN from June throughout July. When school is in session, I am available from 4:30pm-10pm and open availability on weekends. I will be there to give your dog whatever care and attention they need, whether that is walking them for however long they are used to, feeding them or giving water, taking them outside to play, etc.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,544 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Scotland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Scotland. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
