About: I've been a proud pet parent for the past 10 years! I’ve had the joy of caring for a senior dog, and I’m currently lucky enough to share life with my buddy, Buddy. Since he can be a little anxious around new people, kids, and big dogs, he’s taught me to pay keen attention to his body language, respecting his boundaries, and the importance of creating a calm, safe space where he feels comfortable and happy. I know every pet has their own quirks and style of communication, and it is a top priority for me to understand your pet's individual self. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm companion, I'll make sure to give them what they need ◡̈ I understand how hard it can be to leave your furry family member behind, and my goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable! I'm currently in nursing school, so when I'm not in class, a big part of my time is dedicated to studying and working. I love spending my free time with animals, and I'd be happy to care for your pup on weekends and select weekdays. I keep my availability up to date so you can always see when I'm available to help! I've been an animal lover my entire life, and caring for my own dog, Buddy, has taught me how to recognize and respond to a dog's unique personality and needs. Every pet communicates differently, and I take the time to learn what makes yours feel comfortable, safe, and happy. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, you can count on me to provide plenty of exercise, fresh water, meals on schedule, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I'll treat your pet like one of my own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. ◡̈
“Stacey is amazing! I was very anxious about my two week trip to the UK due to a bad pet sitting experience previously where I return to my cat being very sick. I also have a newer cat that is very social and I was worried about leaving him mostly alone. I shared all my concerns with Stacey and within a couple days of being gone, I could relax and enjoy my trip as I knew they were in good hands. She played, petted, and gave them their favorite treats and they definitely seemed to enjoy her company. Stacey wrote details notes for each visit keeping me updated with how things were going and is the best photographer! She took many photos each visit and shared some videos too. She even offered to go get more cat food when I miscounted and was going to run out before my trip ended. I will definitely use Stacey again in the future and so should so you!”

“Lindsay is an amazing sitter! I book her repeatedly because I can trust her to take care of my pup. It’s very evident that she’s comfortable and experienced with animals. My pup loves seeing her and enjoys the hour she spends with him. I appreciate her services as I know occupying a puppy can be very tiring. I highly recommend her.”

“Elizabeth was awesome! This was the first time I have had someone other than my family to watch my animals. She was able to work with all 4 (2 dogs, 2 cats) of my fur babies. Unfortunately my oldest dog Lucy was not very accommodating and she basically had separation anxiety and would not come out of our room. Elizabeth was very patient with her and did everything she could to make her feel comfortable. She also played outside with my younger dog who has a lot of energy. She made sure to spend time with every pet and she sent me photos and video of each one. This service helped me not have anxiety while being away and I will definitely hire Elizabeth again.”

“Christina was a lifesaver for me and my mini dachshund. On short notice she helped drive my dog to the vet when no one at my home was able to. I appreciate her willingness to help with this unusual and urgent request. Thank you!”

“Laurie Beth was the best. She arrived on time and was very reliable. She responded to all of my request and sent photos of her visit. She tended to my dog's wound with precision and care. It was such a relief knowing my beloved pup was so well taken care of while I was away. I highly recommend choosing Laurie for your pet care needs.”

“Rebecca was amazing! She watched my 3 bunnies (yup, bunnies) for a week and took great care of them! I’m pretty sure they weren’t all that excited to have me back ?. It only did she feed them, she changed litter boxes, spent time socializing, let me know when the house was a little warm (during this insane heat wave), went to the store and bought more fresh greens, took amazing photos, and gave them adorable treat bags. I will 100% be rehiring her when we need to leave town again. Bunny parents- shes’s your woman!”

“Jade did GREAT job taking care of our dog while we were gone for the weekend! She kept us updated on how she was doing and made sure our pup was well taken care of. Would absolutely recommend her!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
