“Christine did a wonderful job sitting my pups at my home! She was communicative during the booking process and during the entire duration of the job. My pups were well taken care of, with plenty of snuggles. She was great with the medications they needed and helped get some skin areas healed up. Definitely recommend.”

About: As a busy coffee shop manager, mother of 2 adult children , former medical care coordinator in mental health and companion of a 14 year old dog, I can promise you your pet and home will be in loving hands. I am comfortable with most ranges of pets and enjoy high energy pooches. I am adaptable and willing to learn what will make your companion thrive while you are away. I have taken care of multiple pets over the years including a dog that was blind and another who had medical complications. My own rescue dog struggles with thunder, loud noises and balloons 🤣. You can be assured your pet will be taken care of with love and patience. My pup will stay home with his older brother while I pet sit, so your animals receive my full attention. If booking for an overnight sit, I do work away from the home up to about 8 hours a day. If the home is 20 minutes from Waterbury, I am happy to pop in mid shift to do a potty break. Accommodations can also be made to have two days off scheduled for the sit. I'm on Instagram (green.mountain.tails) and TikTok at (green_mountain_tails) if you would like a general idea of me and the pets I have been able to enjoy. I work 40 hours a week at a coffee shop in Waterbury, VT. If the stay is local, I can adjust my schedule as needed though there may be a day I need to be gone about 8 hours or so. If with in a ten minute radius, walks and check ins are available for stays or drop ins. I truly love going for long walks in the morning and afternoon. If you have a feline companion, we know it is all about their schedule and will be mindful of keeping the quirks and timing on track. In addition to loving going for walks, I've been able to follow specific requests that are more personalized for the pet and the homeowner. Whether that be specific times for walks, cleaning up the litterbox multiple times a day, oral and injectable medications or unusual feeding routines, I've got you covered. I am there for your pet and take that seriously. If it is a day off work, that day is tailored to your pet. That looks like a beach day, hike it the woods, cuddles on the couch or going to the dog park. What ever will make their tail wag. I am also very communicative regarding either the schedule, what we are up to and letting you know about your pets well being. Lots of pictures, communicating the daily activities and peace of mind while away.

“Janice was so kind to watch our dog Walter on short notice. She came over the day before for a meet and greet and to go over everything and I instantly knew she would be great with him. She sent us updates with photos and our dog was very happy! I will definitely be using Janice again when we need a dog sitter.”

“Madeleine was wonderful! She was very communicative and responsive. She sent us lots of pictures and kept us up to date on everything, including our snowy weather and slippery driveway conditions. It was clear from the pics and videos she sent that our dog really liked her and was very happy the whole time. She took great care of him and our home.”

“Anthony performed flawlessly! He was a good communicator, obviously cared for the dog, and took great care of the house. My wife and I were able to leave our concerns at home during our travels knowing that Anthony was holding down the home front. Will hire him again - with enthusiam! - when the next opportunity presents itself. Our dog would agree.”
“We wish there was a 10 star ⭐️ option here! We never used Rover before and were hesitant to try it. We had a wedding to attend, but no one to watch our fur baby. We got our 3 year old shih tzu, Hermie, 10 months ago. We were nervous to leave him in an out of state, unfamiliar hotel room with a total stranger. Kim, surpassed our expectations, squashing our anxiety of leaving Hermie in our hotel room with her while keeping Hermie safe, busy, calm and happy till mommy and daddy got back. We became fast friends and felt like Kim was part of our family. It was a wonderful first experience with Rover and Kim did NOT disappoint us. We are blessed to have met such a caring, kind, responsible human being to care for our beloved Hermie.”

About: I’ve spent a lot of time doing long term dogsitting as well as drop in feeding/walks. I have experience with puppies, seniors, and everything in between! I’ll be your dog’s new best friend! I work part time Sunday - Tuesday so I am usually available for sitting or drop in visits Wednesday - Friday, as my schedule allows. For overnight and day care for dogs I am available to travel to your home to sit for your pets. For walks I can travel to your home and walk them around your area, or I can pick your pup up and bring them on a hike or trail walk!
About: Growing up in rural Vermont, my household was equal parts animals and humans. From an early age, I learned the care and attention that goes into caring for pets from the time they are an energetic puppy to well into their silver years. I’m well equipped to handle potting training, medication feeding, and leash pulling. Fun fact! My first job was as a neighborhood dog walker and my catch phrase was “Lydia B walking” because my last name starts with a B! I'm currently a student and I'm most available during the mornings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Depending on the distance and public transit accessibility, I could be more available! When it comes to caring for other people’s pets, I treat every pet like they’re my own. Which means making sure they are happy, healthy, and safe even after walk time is over. I understand and fully respect that your pet is part of your home and as such, I will follow every aspect of your (and their) routine. In your home, I will make sure doors, gates, and crates are secure, and I always leave things just the way I found them (or better!). I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality, and I’ll keep you in the loop with plenty of updates, pics, and funny moments along the way. You can relax knowing your furry friend is in good hands—and probably having a blast.
“We booked Whitney as we were traveling out of state for a wedding and the hotel did not allow dogs to be left unattended. This was the first time we’ve used a service like Rover and left our furbaby Wendy with someone who was not a family member. Whitney put us at ease and Wendy immediately took to her and her daughter. Whitney and her daughter were fantastic with our little girl Wendy! They listened to our concerns and followed our care instructions for Wendy. Whitney was so flexible and accommodating as she watched our furbaby in our hotel room as we were at family events for 2 days. She was in constant contact with us and sent pictures whenever we requested and often time she sent on her own. We plan on visiting Vermont in the future and using Whitney again. We would highly recommend Whitney if you’re in the area!”

“We have five animals (4 dogs and 1 cat) and we are always nervous every time we go out of town wondering if they are “too much” for whomever is staying with them. We didn’t have that with Wendy. She came over twice before the scheduled date in order to meet the gang and that really alleviated our fears. She sent photos daily at our request and the house was in perfect condition when we returned. We highly recommend Wendy!!”

“DEFINITELY A STAR SITTER!!! Kasandra was phenomenal! She came to my home and sat for my dog--and agreed to take on a friend's dog, in a late edition, after she had already agreed to sit for my dog. The dogs were well taken care of, walked, given lots of attention. By all indications (daily updates and photos), they both really enjoyed her. I will absolutely request Kasandra again! I just hope she's not so busy that she's booked.😁”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Morrisville
My husband and I were leaving for our 10-day honeymoon when, just a week before our trip, our dogs virus acted up and he could no longer attend daycare as we had planned. We were so relieved to find Linda! She was incredibly communicative from the start and made herself available to lock everything in quickly, which gave us so much peace of mind before we left. While we were away, Linda sent us daily updates and photos of our pup, which we looked forward to every day. It was so reassuring knowing he was able to stay in the comfort of his own home and maintain his normal routine while Linda took such great care of both him and our house. Our 2.5-year-old Golden Retriever is full of energy, and Linda did an amazing job building a relationship with him and keeping him happy, active, and comfortable while we were gone. We came home to a happy dog and a well-cared-for home. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Linda to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter!

Jennifer took great care of our senior lab by first stopping in to give him a mid day walk and then to stay over and house sit with him for 10 days. She was very responsive to communication and any small tasks I requested for the house. I would highly recommend Jennifer to care for you pets and your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Morrisville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Morrisville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Morrisville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Morrisville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
