“We booked Whitney as we were traveling out of state for a wedding and the hotel did not allow dogs to be left unattended. This was the first time we’ve used a service like Rover and left our furbaby Wendy with someone who was not a family member. Whitney put us at ease and Wendy immediately took to her and her daughter. Whitney and her daughter were fantastic with our little girl Wendy! They listened to our concerns and followed our care instructions for Wendy. Whitney was so flexible and accommodating as she watched our furbaby in our hotel room as we were at family events for 2 days. She was in constant contact with us and sent pictures whenever we requested and often time she sent on her own. We plan on visiting Vermont in the future and using Whitney again. About: I have three dogs, have always loved to take care of dogs and am always helping friends and families with their dogs. About: I’ve spent a lot of time doing long term dogsitting as well as drop in feeding/walks. I have experience with puppies, seniors, and everything in between! I’ll be your dog’s new best friend! I work part time Sunday - Tuesday so I am usually available for sitting or drop in visits Wednesday - Friday, as my schedule allows. For overnight and day care for dogs I am available to travel to your home to sit for your pets. For walks I can travel to your home and walk them around your area, or I can pick your pup up and bring them on a hike or trail walk!

About: Growing up in rural Vermont, my household was equal parts animals and humans. From an early age, I learned the care and attention that goes into caring for pets from the time they are an energetic puppy to well into their silver years. When it comes to caring for other people’s pets, I treat every pet like they’re my own. Which means making sure they are happy, healthy, and safe even after walk time is over. I understand and fully respect that your pet is part of your home and as such, I will follow every aspect of your (and their) routine. In your home, I will make sure doors, gates, and crates are secure, and I always leave things just the way I found them (or better!). I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality, and I’ll keep you in the loop with plenty of updates, pics, and funny moments along the way. You can relax knowing your furry friend is in good hands—and probably having a blast.

“Meredith was great with my two pups! — 13-year-old German Shepherd who had emergency surgery the day prior and 10-week-old English Cream Retriever who is very high energy and not yet potty trained. Meredith watched my pups in my home while I was away at work. I was updated hourly with photos. She was a pro at taking care of my puppy and followed my instructions to the tee. She even gave my senior pup her pain medication when she seemed uncomfortable. Both my pups were very happy when I returned. I will definitely be using Meredith again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of my family and friend’s dogs for years. I just found out about Rover from a friend who’s been on Rover for some time and she’s told me just how fun and rewarding it is, so I am giving it a go! I have a Yellow Lab of my own “Jader” who loves going for hikes and swimming in my pond. Currently I am very flexible and would be able to provide walks, pet sitting, and potentially be willing to board on a case by case basis. I look forward to where this Rover journey takes me! At the time I am in flight school which is part time and I have quite a bit of flexibility. So days and evenings are doable. I live on a 100 acre horse farm at the end of quiet dirt road so there is very little traffic. When you come by for the first time you will think this is doggy heaven. My Lab Jader is very easy going and gets along with most dogs. Of course before entertaining any boarding I would have to see how Jader gets along with your dog. Other than that I am used to walking and hiking in public areas so walking the rec path or going up the Pinnacle would not be an issue.

About: I've been an animal lover and taken care of pets my whole life! Growing up, we had the sweetest yellow lab named Pete. Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. I love animals and will care for your pets as if they were my own. ****** PLEASE NOTE ****** that we have two dogs (an elderly deaf pug named Alice, and a senior terrier mix named Edie) and one cat. Our pets are friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people who come to visit/ stay with us. Please let me know if you have any concerns about your pet staying with our pets, or if they don't have experience with cats. We can discuss and ensure it'll be a good mutual fit. I am an educator at the local elementary school, and offer pet care services to neighbors and visitors to the area. My availability is generally flexible on the weekends, and can extend into the week on a case-by-case basis. I generally offer 3-4 walks per day, including one longer adventure to mountain trails, or another nearby, dog friendly destination. I'm happy to bring your pup to any of their favorite spots (within reason). Of course, it goes without saying that pets are allowed on the furniture and more than welcome to snuggle in bed at night, also open to crating or any special care required.

About: Hello! I’m Katie and I’m the woman petting the dog instead of socializing at the party. My fiancé Jonny and I relocated back to Lamoille county a few years ago and we’d love to watch your dog! We currently have a senior chihuahua foster fail named Pig. Before leaving Philly, Jonny worked for Happy Tails of Philly as a sitter & walker for 8 years. I was formerly the GM and Boarding Coordinator for a chain of dog daycares in Philadelphia, working for them for 4 years-so it’s safe to say we are well versed with canines! I was a foster parent with City of Elderly Love in Philly and hope to foster again now that I’ve relocated to Vermont. All of our dog experience can guarantee that not only is your dog going to be safe and comfortable with us, but will have as much fun possible! Whether that’s playing fetch in the yard, going for a walk or lounging on the couch, we are happy as long as the dogs around us are! Since becoming a foster parents to seniors dogs years ago, we have gained much knowledge and experience with special needs and administering different types of medications. I have a part time job but Jonny will be home full time for the pups with separation anxiety. If you board with us, our place will be your dog’s home away from home. 💕 Dogs staying with us will never be left outside unattended and will always be leashed. About: I promise to keep your fur baby safe and happy as can be while you're away. I will provide playtime, walks, cuddles and a lot of attention. I am very interactive and not afraid to be goofy in order to make a genuine connection with your pet. Don't be afraid to leave me detailed instructions- I get it and have fur and feathered babies of my own! I am able to walk up to 2 to 3 big dogs at a time and feel confident in my abilities to give commands and appropriate rewards/disciplines. If your pet(s) gets dirty, I will bathe them as well as clean up any messes that occur. I also will keep your home sweet home neat and tidy so you never come home to a mess. I have grown up with pets and have always owned one or two.. okay, maybe 3 at a time. I make genuine connections with animals (wild ones, too) and would love to give them the opportunity to get outside all season long (even in the winter).
