“Patricia took excellent care of Hiro and went above and beyond with updates and making sure he was getting all the love while we were away. Will absolutely be working with Patricia in the future! :)”

“April is my go-to cat sitter! She is attentive and reliable and I always know my cat is in the best hands while I’m away. I’m a repeat customer with April & highly highly recommend her!”

“Elizabeth is great! She’s so friendly and was excellent with our 5 month old puppy. She’s prompt, respectful, and very dedicated to what she does. Highly recommend her for your next Rover.”

“Heidi is our go to person to watch our kitties while we are away! She is very communicative, and takes such good photos to know our furry kids are taken care of while we are away :) We wouldn't hesitate to have Heidi continue to come and care for our cats in the future!”

“So grateful to Taylor. We had a last minute weekend trip and Taylor couldn't commit because she had her own last minute trip. However, she also knew that I wasn't sure that I had someone else to come in for the cats. I left them with 36 hours worth of food but was SO RELIEVED when Taylor contacted me that Saturday night to make sure the cats were taken care of and offered to care for them if there was still a need. He came in on Sunday morning much to the cat's relief (and mine).”

“Our experience with Kate was great! She kept us very well informed about what our scaredy-cats were up to while we were gone. We would recommend her and book her again.”
About: Hello👋🏽I’m a passionate dog lover and pet stylist at a doggie daycare, with 6+ years of experience leading playgroups and 3 years as a professional groomer. I’ve developed a deep understanding of dog behavior, body language, and individual needs.🐾 I currently have the sweetest babies, a 12 year old lab and 2 laid back cats. I grew up caring for our rescued beagles from an animal testing facility, which taught me how to support sensitive or nervous pups with patience and compassion. Through daycare and grooming, I’ve worked hands-on with all kinds of breeds, coat types, and personalities. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend and help them feel safe, happy, and loved! I also offer nail trims if your pup is comfortable with it.✂️ I also enjoy cleaning in my spare time, so I’d be happy to offer light housekeeping or general tidying if that’s something you’d find helpful.🫧 Pet care fits into my routine really naturally. I work as a groomer and often have shorter days, usually finishing around 2 or 3 PM, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet sitting in the evenings. I’m also available most weekends for drop-ins and walks. Since I already spend my days caring for animals, it feels like a natural extension of what I love to do! I typically pet sit in the owner’s home, where pets feel most comfortable and secure. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely—every pet is different, and I do my best to stick to their usual routine, whether that’s feeding times, walks, play, medications, or just extra snuggles. I’m respectful of your home and treat it with care, just like I do with your pets!
“Payton was an excellent sitter for me and my little one Leia while I was out of town for a ~week. Payton left notes (with pictures!) for each visit and was patient with Leia getting over a bit of stranger danger. Payton went above and beyond both communicating about and helping with cleanup of a bathroom accident while I was away - very much appreciated! I’ll definitely be looking at Payton’s calendar the next time I need a sitter.”

In my personal life, I feed my cat in the morning and night, clean her litter box every other day and play with her daily I will follow the instructions given and make sure I am aware of the expectations going into the clients home. I am a very responsible and accountable person.
About: I am a patient and attentive sitter, and will do my absolute best to meet all of your pets' needs while they are in my care. I will treat your furry friends as well as I would treat my own. About: My wife and I have had paws in our house almost from day 1. Over the years we have had 6 dogs and 7 cats, all of which came on board as puppies or kittens, and they all lived long and happy lives. Currently we have 1 dog and 2 cats. I am now retired, so I have maximum flexibility to schedule sitting/walking times. The biggest competitors for my time are the grandkids, and the lawnmower in the summer and snow shovel in the winter. Our cats are indoor cats with access to a screen porch to satisfy their outdoor desires. We have used the Invisible Fence for our previous larger dogs. The client would set the requirements for care at the pet's home. I also have walking shoes and a leash for doggie exercise. I have not signed up to care for client's animals at our house.
“Maia took wonderful care of our cat, Princess Leia, while we were out of town for four days. She was an excellent communicator, keeping us updated and giving us peace of mind that everything was going smoothly. When we returned home, both our house and our cat were clearly well cared for. Princess Leia was happy to see us, but she also seemed calm, relaxed, and content, which is always the best sign that she's been in good hands. Maia's drop-in visits gave us confidence that our cat was getting the attention and care she needed while we were away. We would absolutely trust Maia with our home and pets again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring pet sitter.”

“Kaylee is simply amazing. After a couple unpleasant hires, I was hesitant looking for another sitter as my trust was broken. However, at our meet-n-greet, she was very attentive, her energy was soft and my cats were very curious ..so I gave it a shot. Since the first drop-in, she was very prompt, communicative and paid close attention to their needs and because of her extraordinary care, I was able to relax on my vacation without worry. My cats were quickly drawn to her on the first day and that is very telling for cats! I couldn’t be more grateful. I will definitely be booking her moving forward and I highly recommend her for your pets’ care as well! Thanks again Kaylee!”

About: I have taken care of my family pets since I was little. In high school I took care of neighbor’s dogs and others who needed the extra hand in taking dogs for walks and making sure they had food, water, and were happy. I have a full time job and usually work 8 hours during the day Sunday-Thursday. I am available in the mornings and evenings during those days, Friday afternoons, and all day Saturdays. While taking care of clients pets, I will make sure they have plenty of water, food, exercise, and all instructions the owners leave are followed. I care for all animal's health and well-being and will go out of my way to make sure they are taken care of how their owners would want them and how I would take care of my own pets.
About: I've cared for animals for most of my life, both as a pet owner myself and as a pet caretaker for family and friends. I love working with dogs and cats alike, and I have experience providing all kinds of basic pet care (feeding, walking, playing, snuggling, basic commands training, etc.). I believe that every pet deserves thoughtful, intentional, compassionate care (and lots of love) to truly thrive, and I am always eager to provide those things for the clients and families I serve when they are away from their furry friends! My availability falls mostly to weeknights and weekends, as I do work full-time. I am happy to provide drop-in care and dog walking services on weeknights from 6-9 pm, and most weekends. I am also available for house sitting/overnight stays most weekends. I love providing care for pets in their own home environment, where they are most comfortable and familiar with their surroundings. I am happy to come over to feed, walk, play with, and snuggle your furry friends.
“Kristin was wonderful and made it very clear that she cared about our kitty and his wellbeing! He is on medication right now and doesn’t cooperate very well, but she was able to get it in him :) would definitely recommend booking her. Thank you, Kristin!!”

Brynn was amazing!! She is definitely the most thoughtful and considerate pet sitter I’ve ever had for my cat, Rosie. She responded to all of my messages very quickly, asked great questions at our meet and greet, was flexible with me when I needed to change my dates, and went above and beyond every drop-in visit. I was out of town during the Fourth of July when there were numerous fireworks and thunderstorms and Brynn was incredible with my cat who is scared of all of those things and even stopped by a second time in the day to check on her when the fireworks were nonstop. My cat takes a probiotic every day and Brynn did perfect with giving that medication. I genuinely don’t think I could have found someone more reliable and responsible than Brynn. I could tell from the pictures that my cat loved her, and I came home to a clean home and a well-adjusted cat. I would recommend her 110% to everyone and I truly cannot emphasize that enough. As a travel nurse, I wish I lived in Minnesota long-term just so I can utilize her services again in the future.

This was our second booking with Patricia, and she’s just incredible. This request came together on relatively short notice, and she responded quickly, even late at night, which we really appreciated. Even for a brief one-day booking, she was thoughtful, conscientious, and genuinely engaged with our cats. Her updates were detailed, funny, and reassuring, with lots of great photos. We feel very lucky to have found her and so lucky she’s nearby..

Rachel was amazing with our dog and two cats. You can tell right away how much she truly cares about animals. Our dog got all the exercise and attention she needs, and our cats were happy and relaxed. Rachel was great about checking in and sending photos, which we really appreciated — it made being away so much easier. We felt totally comfortable knowing our pets were in such good hands. They all love her, and we would absolutely book with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
