After our beloved 14-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback passed away in January 2026, we realized just how much we missed the routine of caring for a dog. Furthermore, because our own dog was deaf and lived to a ripe old age, we are uniquely equipped to provide gentle, specialized care for elderly or disabled dogs during drop-ins, walks, and some boarding. Prissy & Ginger (a Boston Terrier & a Pug) were my first loves as I would walk my neighbors dogs for companionship when I could not have my own. As an adult, I still pet-sit for friends, most frequently a 5yo Tamaskan when his owner travels. I was a part-time vet-tech in college and work in a (human) clinic as an adult, so I understand special needs, different medications, and the roll of compassion for all conditions. I work out of the home all week, so can accomodate unique schedule needs. My home has 3 areas that a pet can be isolated from others, if needed. I also have a large (unfenced) yard for endless roaming and sniffing, and a 2nd story deck overlooking my back acre for fun and safe wildlife viewing for leisurely sunny afternoons. I'm around my home most times while I work out of the home. Unique schedules can be easily managed, and special dietary or medical needs tended to. In boarding other peoples pets, I do my best to keep their usual routine to maximize their comfort and minimize stress while mom/dad are away. I have several spaces that can be closed off for isolation if needed for care, sleeping or feeding separately, or they can have the whole house to roam, if that is their preference. I have 2 leashes/tethers (40' or 20') to explore the yard and a box full of toys for chewing, pulling, fetching as needed - or bring your own favorite toys, we'll play with those!

For example, the first night Binx was kind of a goob about letting her get into his ear, but then he got better after she was around a bit. I think I prefer that as opposed to "everything is great!" I was also mortified when I didn't get my hungryroot box canceled, and she graciously put everything in the fridge for me. I felt so comfortable with them under her care, I could even relax on the day of the funeral and not be constantly checking my phone for a rover card! When I got home, my cats were chill and well cared for. I will definitely use her again.”

The biggest competitors for my time are the grandkids, and the lawnmower in the summer and snow shovel in the winter. She was flexible, reliable, communicative, and handled my little guy with so much care. The best part was that she sent me pictures of him while I was at work, which I really appreciated. About: I’ve taken care of friends & family’s pets for years, where I grew special connections with each of the animals. This past summer I fostered an 8 mon. old deaf dog - I have some training/consistency skills in my back pocket. I am currently in the middle of job searching, but I plan to do shift work (12 hr shifts); 2-3 days off from work per week. I will update my calendar when I know more about my work schedule. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment on the ground floor - an easy place to let your pet out to go potty. There is a large area for potty time and an area to play/socialize with other dogs (if permitted, depending on dog’s temperament). There is a small park close by that doggies love that sniff around at and watch the birds and squirrels.

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was little. I grew up always having a dog in the house, and pet sitting for neighbors' dogs and cats. I also have some experience in a small animal clinic, as well as caring for my sisters dog when she is away. I am a full-time student at CSU, but I have time in between classes, and they generally end around 2-3. My evenings are more open and I am flexible to fit to the needs of the animal. I am very comfortable with dogs and am good at reading body language. I am comfortable distributing meds, food , water, etc. I am willing to have dogs in my car if we were to go to a park, etc.
About: I’ve had many animals while growing up. I’ve had 4 dogs, 3 cats, a hamster, a guinea pig, snakes, countless fish, and chickens. I am confident in my abilities to care for any kind of pet. I am able to administer meds, groom, train, etc. I love animals and love working with them! I work part-time as a server, but am very flexible with my schedule outside of that. I’m able to stay late at night and come early mornings if necessary. I am able to stop by during the days and in case your pet needs a friend I can bring my own around! I have a fenced yard as well as invisible fencing. I feed my dogs and cats each day, walk and potty them, and scoop litter. When my older cat was around I administered his meds and helped to keep him clean. Any accidents that happen can be cleaned easily and i love cuddling with the animals!

About: I grew up with dogs, lizards and cats and even hamsters, bearded dragons and birds. I know how to take care of a variety of animals. I am a lover of all animals! I have a full time job but I am free in the evenings, weekends, and I work remote during the day Monday and Friday to take care of animals. In my personal life, I feed my cat in the morning and night, clean her litter box every other day and play with her daily I will follow the instructions given and make sure I am aware of the expectations going into the clients home. I am a very responsible and accountable person.
About: In addition to owning cats and dogs my whole life, I work at an emergency vet clinic. I love all animals and can't wait to meet yours :) I work full-time at a veterinary hospital while preparing for veterinary school. On my days off, I am available for drop-in visits as well :) I unfortunately can't take any additional pets into my home, but I love to meet pets at their level. Sitting on the floor with a dog is one of life's true delights.
