“Wow, all I can say is that Steven is AWESOME. I was afraid to leave my dogs with Steven because he watches multiple dogs together and my dogs are not good with other dogs. To my surprise, Steven sent me a video of my two dogs walking around the yard with multiple other dogs and not fighting but actually getting along. I could not believe this. As Steven informed me during the meet and greet that the only one that was worried was me and that my two would be fine. Boy, I guess he was correct. lol. He even informed me that my two were sticking together like glue. I taught them to take care of one another. I would recommend Steven for watching anyone's dog. I sure do know that he will be first on my list to call if I ever take another vacation. Again, Steven was AWESOME. He was always so polite and kept a smile on his face when speaking to me. Oh, I forgot the most important thing that impressed me so was the fact that since my dog DUKE has severe arthritis and was not doing the best while Steven was watching him, Steven was concerned so he contacted me after my dogs stay just to make sure DUKE was doing ok. That says volumes for me because it shows that Steven really cares and that is what makes him even more AWESOME.”

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for my entire life. From elderly beagles to pitbulls with no concept of their own size, I love them all! I'm experienced with special needs pets, having personally taken care of pets who are blind and deaf; who have FIV, FeLV and CKD; and who are missing teeth and tail. I am familiar with giving meds orally (both pill and syringe form), taking care of sick pets, and monitoring symptoms. You know what your pet needs, and I always make sure quality care is given in your absence! Please note I will likely use my own handless leash for safety purposes. I am comfortable working with reactive dogs and dogs with prey drives. However, it is crucial that you inform me of any behavior issues beforehand. Owners who are not upfront with behavior issues risk being dropped as clients. If booking times are flexible, please let me know. This helps me book you faster and allows us to start conversations about your pet's needs earlier. Please only book with me when you know what days and times I am needed. Open requests block times in my calendar, so booking in a timely manner is very important. If you would prefer to boom after the meet & greet, that is absolutely okay! Please just let me know upon scheduling the meet and greet. I am currently available mornings, and nights M-F and all day weekends. I typically visit 7-7:45am on weekday mornings and 4-7pm weekday nights. I make visits all day on weekends. I am happy to accommodate specific medication schedules upon request. Starting June 15th, I will be available 7am-9pm all seven days of the week. Starting June 15th, I will be opening slots for clients who wish for their dogs to join me on hikes or long walks (3+ hours) at dog-friendly hiking spots in Michigan. Owners will be charged the housesitting rate, and will be expected to prepare treats, meals, and water for their dogs. If you are interested in reserving a spot or speaking about specifics, please book an overnight stay so we can chat. I aim to respect your home and leave it cleaner than I found it! I'm happy to clean pet bowls, vacuum pet beds, etc. If possible, please provide the name of your home internet and password. This saves time when I am sending you cards, questions, or other updates! For housesitting clients, I aim to send two updates minimum during the morning and afternoon/early evening. If you would prefer to have more or less updates, please let me know!
