About: I have taken care of dogs full time for 23 years. I owned and ran a family owned kennel for 22 years where I offered breeding, whelping and obedience and protection training. I have loved dogs since I was a little girl and I have never had a period in my life where I did not have a dog. I work full-time at home (remote). I am home all day meaning I can be with your baby. I look forward to watching your baby! My home is pet friendly and I have several kennels and dog beds in my home. I also have easy access to a very nice, clean, controlled dog park.
About: I’ve had the privilege to care for animals professionally for over 20 years in the zoo field. My work has given me extensive experience reading animal behavior and providing patient, low-stress care tailored to each individual’s needs. While my career includes working with a wide variety of species, I genuinely love spending time with dogs and cats. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or just likes things done a certain way, I’ll take the time to get to know them and make each visit a positive experience. I’m comfortable caring for puppies and kittens, senior pets, multi-pet households, and administering many oral medications. I use positive reinforcement, prioritize safety, and pay close attention to details, so you can trust that your pet’s routine will be followed carefully. Communication is also important to me. You’ll receive updates and photos after every visit so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine! On weekdays, I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks before work and again after 4:00 p.m. Since I work a consistent first-shift schedule (7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), you can count on reliable availability. My weekends are Sunday and Monday, when I have much more flexibility for visits and walks throughout the day. For drop-in visits and walks, I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, whether that’s feeding, refreshing water, administering approved medications, cleaning litter boxes, potty breaks, playtime, or simply spending quality time with your pet. During walks, I pay close attention to each dog’s body language, the environment, weather conditions, and any potential hazards. I use positive reinforcement and never force a pet into situations that make them uncomfortable. If your pet is shy or nervous, I’ll let them set the pace and work to build trust through calm, patient interactions. I also know how important communication is while you’re away. After every visit, I’ll send you an update with photos and let you know how your pet did, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re safe, happy, and well cared for.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
