“I know Laura as Rene and they did an amazing job watching our husky Luna while we were on a cruise! We expected to have cell and Wi-Fi reception for the duration of our trip but as it turns out we did not. That didn’t phase Rene as they still sent us photos and updates throughout and was able to keep Luna calm during 4th of July fireworks. Rene is a super sitter and we will definitely be using them again. Luna can’t wait for more either”

As nervous dog parents to leave them with someone new, we are very happy to have found Mikayla and would absolutely book her again!”

About: *About our place: For the holiday season I am booked! My son is available to housesit and do drop ins if interested please let me know. He has plenty of experience housesitting for friends farms as well as taking care of our pets. I will oversee his work. Our property is like a huge dog park! We have 3 treed and open fully fenced acres with a doggie door, covered deck, agility course, a pond for those that like to swim, plenty of toys, dog beds, room to dig and play and friendly dogs to play with. We have dogs, cats, and ducks (which are always penned up safely). We cannot take aggressive dogs or cat aggressive dogs. If your dog is reactive to other dogs we are unable to accommodate them. * About me I owned a grooming shop for 17 years and worked at a vet clinic for 15 years. I have also worked with multiple dog rescues over the years. I have experience with special needs dogs and those that require extra TLC. I only use positive reward based training. * Boarding For this option, your pup(s) will be staying in my home. I have dogs myself , so I ask for advanced notice of at least 72 hours before drop off because dogs coming last minute can be disruptive to our home life. Due to an unfortunate circumstance and privacy concerns with a potential client I no longer allow people inside my home for meet and greets. We can do meet and greets in our fenced back yard if you so choose. Meet and greets are not required. We often offer a trial day in lieu of a meet and greet as dogs act different when their owners leave and we want to see the true dog. I can only take a max of 2 dogs at once. If from different families I must know they dogs before they are allowed to interact with another family’s dog and be similar in age, temperament. All male dogs over a year must be neutered. No female dogs in heat. Dogs should be crate trained in the event of an emergency. If you have a puppy we can work on gentle crate training by feeding the pup in a crate and letting them out immediately after. The crate is always associated with something positive. We are not a kennel, this is our home and everyone’s safety is top priority. Your dog will be able to roam the house, sleep on the couch, use a doggie door to go in and out as they please and lots of playtime. We cannot hold spots available for you unless you reserve the spot. I adjust to your dog’s schedule. I do not expect them to adjust to mine. *Other Pets For this service we can also pet sit for more then just dogs. Caged animals such as birds, reptiles and small animals have their own private room. We have experience with snakes, bearded dragons, a variety of geckos, sugar gliders, rats, guinea pigs, bunnies, axolotls, and birds. Caged animals are NEVER allowed to intersect with other species or other animals they did not come with. We can feed, interact with and clean cages as necessary. The price is the same as our dog boarding fees due to the extra attention exotics need. **all pick ups must be no later than 6pm. If you are ruining late the dog or small animal can stay another day and you can pick up in the morning. *Housesitting- I do weekends only* For this option, I will provide drop ins during the day and stay overnight in your home. A meet and greet is required for this so we can go over food, dog’s or cats access in your home, potty break times, meds needing to be given etc. I can walk your dog during drop in times or play with your kitty. I am dog and human CPR/First Aid certified. I can do any type of medications your pet needs as well as feed any diet your dog or cat needs. *Doggie Daycare- Pick ups must be no later than 6pm. Your dog will have access to our huge backyard, they can swim in our pond or play in the baby pool. We have a small agility course and we do lure coursing. Plenty of my own dogs to run and play chase with. Due to our schedules we have the flexibility to give pets the time and energy they require. We don't use any harsh chemicals or pesticides on our property. We use beneficial nematodes in our yard to prevent fleas and other pests. My husband and I work opposite shifts so someone is always home. We have a doggie door so even the youngest pups can get outside to use the potty when they need. Our deck is separately fenced from our yard so they are always supervised. I treat all pets like family. I worked as a dog groomer and a vet tech for many years so I have a lot of experience. We can tailor the experience to fit your pup’s needs if necessary. While I do work, my husband and I work opposite shifts and my teenager does online school so someone is always home. We tailor our schedule to fit your dog’s needs. Dogs are welcome on our couch and we also have various dog beds for their comfort. My dogs are part of our family and your dogs will be cared for the same way.

Molly S.
“Molly is an excellent, responsible, trustworthy and very loving pet caregiver. Whenever I leave town I always ask her to watch my dog and two cats and I’ve never had any complaints or concerns with leaving them in her care.”
Meridian pet parents share their Rover experiences
Mikayla was very good with my senior cat (100+ in human years!). He was not at all upset when I returned home-which he often is when I leave him- and seemed quite content. She gave him his medicine on time and sent pictures along as well. Made my trip all the better. Thank you Mikayla!

I feel so lucky to have found Grace on short notice! She is extremely knowledgeable about pets and their needs. I felt so comfortable having her watch Mira for a couple of nights. Mira clearly loved her, and they went on a ton of adventures together. I received great photos over the weekend, and came home to a tired and happy pup!

Kennedy was very kind and treated our dogs like princesses. She followed all instructions and we came home to our dogs looking healthier and happier than when we left them. She sent us pictures and gave us updates. Looking forward to having her watch our dogs again

Madison is an excellent sitter! She stayed at our home for 7 days with our two very large and excitable dogs. This is the longest we have ever been away from them in the almost 9 years we’ve had them. We were very anxious as these dogs are our children. Madison was thorough and went above and beyond to make sure that us and our boys had a good experience. She did brushing, gave medication and helped them brush up on some of their training skills. The boys loved her, and her updates gave us great peace of mind. She left our house very tidy, and was considerate of our space. This was my first experience with rover, and Madison knocked it out of the park. Tucker and Toby can’t wait to have her back next time. 100/10 recommend Madison for your furry friends. ❤️

Alexcia was great with my 1 year old mini dachshund Jiggy. This was my first long trip since having him, and she really helped keep my mind at ease. I'd highly recommend Alexcia for any housesitting/dogsitting needs. It was definitely not easy for her! I truly appreciate coming home to a happy, healthy dog and a clean home.

There are almost not enough things to say how wonderful Elizabeth was. She stepped in when my other pet sitter flaked out about 3 days before we departed. Not only did she take wonderful care of Nika but she provided updates and photos and was really flexible and accommodating when our flights got canceled and severely delayed. She is easily the most responsible pet and house sitter I have ever found on Rover.com. Thank you Liz and look forward to having you back soon!!!!!

Chloe was amazing with my sweet, but nervous girl, Tala! She was great at reading how Tala was doing and met her where she was at. Tala warmed up quickly and that meant the world to me! Chloe was also very communicative and left our house in great shape. We’ll definitely be using Chloe again!
