“Susie and her wonderful family are absolutely a dream come true! I'm so happy I found them. I've used daycare facilities for my little pug, Olive, in the past and she used to come home semi-traumatized by the experience. Definitely not the case with Susie. The second we pulled into her driveway, Olive had her tail wagging and couldn't wait to spend the day with Susie and family! Susie was sooo sweet and I know her daughter loved little Olive too...I can't speak highly enough of them. Seriously, if you're debating who to go with for your doggy...go with Susie. She is kind, extremely flexible, experienced and has such a warm and inviting home. Thank you so much for taking care of my little fur baby...10/10 would recommend and will 100% be taking Olive to Susie for all future daycare!?❤”

“Very happy with my dogs stay at Hannah and her husbands house! She came home today tired as can be.(Even taking her on hikes, my pup is usually still extremely hyper) It was my dogs first time in a group with more than 3 dogs and Hannah sent me pics of her throughout the day and she was having a blast. Can’t get a better value than what she and her husband offer!”

“Our puppy had the best day with Kristopher. He was sensitive to our puppy’s needs, and eased her into meeting his crew when she was nervous on arrival. She seems to have had the best day, and we are so appreciative of his expertise with puppies.”

“We are new to the area and are so thankful to have found Julie! She sent pics of our baby throughout his stay and kept us updated with how he was doing. When we picked George up, we could tell he had such a great time! We will definitely be booking Julie again. We felt that George was safe and cared for with Julie. ❤️”

“Tommy was great with Lennox! It didn't take long for the two to like each other :) I had a great experience with scheduling, availability, and updates throughout the day. You can tell that Tommy has lots of experience with all kinds of dogs and can quickly adjust to whatever your dog needs. He took Lennox on his walks what our little Aussie enjoyed a lot. We will be back for sure :)”

“I am a fearful pet parent for my little reactive street dog and Damon put us at ease with the time he took for a meet and greet, then booking a day boarding, then an overnight with him before we go away for a week leaving our little guy in his care. I was very hesitant because he has a larger group of dogs, but he is so organized in how he introduces and works with them that our dog came back tired but vey happy. He is super competent, kind and unbelievably NEAT and clean. I couldn't believe he took time to send videos and pictures. this is obviously his superpower. I feel confident in his judgment and his ability to handle anything that comes along calmly.”

“This was our 1st time leaving our 2 dogs with Roxie. A great experience. The dogs had a great time. Lots of photos through out the day, which we appreciated. Highly recommended. Excellent care.”

“It’s clear that Christopher and his family genuinely love dogs! He is easygoing, an excellent communicator, and incredibly accommodating. Mason felt comfortable right away and absolutely loves going to doggy daycare at Christopher’s. We have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such caring hands.”

“Peter and his family clearly love dogs! They were super responsive and sent photos throughout the day. Charlie loved playing with their dogs and we will absolutely be booking again! Highly recommend!”

“Sequoia took great care of my 1 year old Great Pyrenees puppy, providing good communication. My pup came home happy and tired from playing with her canine pals. Will book again!”

“Hi, We just had our sweet girl, Annie, stay with Allison for several hours. My husband found her cleaned up, seemingly secure, contented and nicely tired (I think the dogs will be good friends). We’d love to connect again and will let Rover know soon. Thank you!!!”

“Chelsea has been awesome with my pups, and they love playing with her dogs as well. Their stay has been great. They’re tuckered out and happy every day I’ve picked them up after daycare 💞”

“My big girls favorite family! Her tail almost falls off when she knows she gets to come over! We appreciate the love and care you give her ♥️♥️♥️”

“Amy, Eric, and Finley made our girl Riley feel like part of the family! She got a great long walk and then got to relax and snuggle for the rest of the evening. They paid close attention to her and accommodated her personality, quirks, and even a few nervous farts 😅 We really appreciate it!”

About: We provide a safe, cozy, low-stress environment so your pup feels comfortable, relaxed, and truly at home while you’re away. Lots of attention, familiar routines, and genuine care. Pet care fits naturally into our daily and weekly routine. One of us works from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and get plenty of attention throughout the day. We also have two teen girls who love helping with care — extra cuddles, playtime, and lots of love included. Daily walks are part of our routine, along with a calm, cozy home environment where pups feel safe and spoiled. We care for pets as if they’re part of our family. In our home, dogs enjoy a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, plenty of supervision, and a calm, comfortable environment. Since we don’t currently have pets of our own, your dog gets our full attention — from playtime and walks to cuddles and downtime. Our goal is always to keep your pup feeling secure, relaxed, and right at home.
“Maggie is the first sitter I used on Rover and I am definitely going to utilize her services again. She cares for each pet as if it were her own. My dog absolutely loved Maggie's spacious backyard.”

“London had a wonderful time with Hanna, Matthew, and his new furry friends! He was clearly having a blast — he was excited to see me at pickup, but also totally torn about leaving all his playmates, which was pretty adorable. He came home happily worn out, which is always the sign of a great day. As a bonus, they’re only 6 minutes from me, which makes drop-off and pickup so easy. I’d absolutely reach out to them again if I need a pet-sitter in the future!”

My experience goes beyond just dogs and cats. I’ve also cared for chickens, ducks, and other small animals, so I’m comfortable with a variety of pets and personalities. Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
