“Tyler has been excellent at communicating and watching over everything. I am very excited and definitely plan to rebook them. Highly recommend his efforts; he's good with dogs all around. Followed every instruction that was given. Open and ask if I needed anything else afterwards and even left all a treat to take home I highly recommend him.”

“Bridget took great care of our two dogs while we were on vacation. She constantly gave us updates and sent pictures of them being their happy selves. Great communication and eased our worries with our rescue GS. Thank you!”

“Booked Jasmine to watch my dog Toby 4 days and 4 nights over Thanksgiving. Before booking, Jasmine agreed on a meet and greet just to confirm that Toby felt comfortable with her. Dropped Toby off Tuesday about 6pm and picked him up Saturday at about 6 pm. Over those 4 days Jasmine would send updates morning, noon, and night along with videos of Toby walking or playing with her dog Molly. Could not have been happier with the care Toby received and since he has been home he has seemed alot calmer than before I dropped him off. I would recommend Jasmine to anyone as she is definitely a 5 STAR sitter. I will for sure book her again in the future when needed.”

About: Hello! I’ve been teaching first graders for 24 years. While on breaks from teaching, I enjoy being a substitute doggy daycare provider. My fur baby goes to doggy daycare when I’m teaching first graders, so I know what it’s like to entrust others with your loved one! This is where I’ve been trained by the best Doggy Daycare provider in Lathrop! I substitute at my dog’s daycare when I’m not teaching first graders. I’ll be retiring from teaching soon, but in the meantime, I’m available on weekends when your regular provider isn’t available. I’m planning to start Labor Day Weekend in my home. Please plan to book in advance, so we can introduce your fur babies to my fur baby. My schnoodle gets along great with others at her doggy daycare, but having new friends visiting her at her house will be new for both of us, so we will want to set up a meet and greet, so everyone passes the “Sniff Test!” I’m more experienced with Shitzu’s, Poodles, Schnauzers, Yorkies, Doodles, and Cocker Spaniels no. I’m open to setting up a meet and greet with other small to medium breeds. I’m currently teaching Monday-Friday, but will be available on weekends from 4:00 pm Friday to 9:00 pm Sunday. Hourly visits are welcome, as well as over night visits. I have a large fenced back yard and my own fur baby to keep your fur baby company! I allow animals on the furniture and they get to sleep on the bed with me, unless they prefer their own crate or bedding. I have a doggy door so they have access to going potty when needed. I also live in a smoke free home.

“Melissa is AMAZING❤️❤️❤️ CARING, EXPERIENCED, CONFIDENT, RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER and CARE GIVER, ATTENTIVE to DETAIL, and PROVIDER OF PEACE OF MIND, GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We just moved to California and left behind an excellent boarding kennel and staff at our previous vet facility. Until Melissa, we had not found anyone or any kennel staff that would be trained properly and be confident in handling mid- to large-size dogs. CARING, EXPERIENCED and CONFIDENT - Melissa opened her doors to our Sassy (a Rottie) even knowing she didn’t get along with other female dogs (Melissa owns 2 female dogs). This was the first time we would try a private home setting and we were a bit uneasy about it — and even more so with other pups present in the home. However, Melissa's approach of meet-and-greet first, and CARING, CONFIDENT attitude, put us at ease right from the beginning!! Melissa’s communication with us prior to providing care let us know she is an EXPERIENCED dog owner and care giver. By the time we were on our way to our meet-and-greet we were excited and were hoping she would say yes to keeping our Sassy! RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER and CARE GIVER - Melissa’s meet-and-greet policy prior to committing to service shows she is not only a responsible dog owner, but also a responsible dog-sitting service provider. Melissa met and kept Sassy for a couple of hours before making her decision to keep her. She wanted to know if she could handle our pup and her personality before committing to taking care of her. By doing this Melissa was ensuring the safety and well-being of her pups as well as our Sassy’s — VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!! Had Melissa found out she was not going to be able to meet her own requirements of safety and well-being with our particular pup, we would still praise her for it and would be thankful — it is the responsible thing to do!!! ATTENTION to DETAIL - Melissa’s attention to detail is AMAZING! And it shows that she cares for our pup as if it were her own. She responded to all my messages within a short period of time, with genuine feedback and acknowledgment of our concerns. Our Sassy turned 7 years old while in her care and Melissa had a mini celebration for her and sent us adorable pics of Sassy wearing a birthday hat, and next to a plush-toy cake❤️ PEACE of MIND - Melissa was a blessing and a gift during a very-much needed rest and mental recharge time. We were able to go on our extended break with peace of mind and without the daily stress of worrying about our pup being somewhere we were not fully confident about. Melissa kept us updated every day with photos of Sassy’s activities. Sassy looked very happy with her sassy face and her split tongue hanging out!!! Additionally, the home-care setting gave us a sense of peace and JOY that our pup was being taken care of in a setting similar to the one she is used to, AND with the same love and care we provide her with. Even though we had just met Melissa, we were excited about our Sassy having a great time at her home 24/7, as opposed being confined to a kennel 24/7 and no human presence overnight. ABOVE and BEYOND - Not only Melissa said she, could keep our Sassy, she also let us know she would use the opportunity to work on socialization skills while she boarded with them!!! We are VERY THANKFUL for, and EXTREMELY PLEASED and ECSTATIC with Melissa’s services!!! We will DEFINITELY USE her services AGAIN and HIGHLY RECOMMEND her!!!”
“Mrs. Rochelle is simply amazing and has a beautiful family that helps her. She is very patient and kind. Our Taz can be a bit rambunctious but she said he did well. She sent photos while we were away on our trip. My grandpups were well taken care of. We will definitely use Mrs. Rochelle again. Thank you so much for caring for our fur babies.”

“Justine did an amazing job with Willa. This was Willa's first boarding so that is always a little nerve-wracking but Justine was very communicative the whole time. Will be booking again in the near future.”

“Highly Recommend!!! Kathryn and her family treated my pup Shadow like one of their own. Couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you for taking such great care and giving her all the love while I was away.”

“Nathan and family were great! Very communicative and our dog seemed right at home! Which is huge because she has high anxiety but she loved it with Nathan and crew. Will definitely be rebooking soon.”

“This was our second time having our dog, Dior, cared for, and once again the service was excellent! We had complete peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. Dior was happy, well cared for, and received lots of love and attention. We truly appreciate the reliability, great communication, and wonderful care. We will definitely book again. Highly recommend!”

About: I enjoy being with dogs they are so playful. And they bring love to everyone. They’re like a band-aid. My bf has a dog and he listens to me more than him I love and enjoy being with pets, I can fit it into my daily routine without a problem. I have free time after I’m out of work I have a fenced yard and I am very friendly with any pet, I have a lot of patience for whatever the pet needs to make a more enjoyable time
“I’m looking forward to booking again [next year when i stay in town at Great Wolf Lodge] with Debra & Benjamin. Little Zoey is just so sweet and friendly - even on the first face to face zoom meet & greet she wagged her tail - to meeting in-person upon drop off. Immediately, my dogs appeared to feel safe and cozy upon meeting. Their home is set up to accommodate free range indoor/outdoor exploring in a safe fenced back yard/“backwoods” environment. Most importantly - at and post-pickup - my babies seemed calm, content and relaxed. Thank goodness I was able to find Debra & Benjamin to provide quality care! Def recommend”

“Cooper is my 4th child and we love him so much! We were nervous about leaving him, but Hortensia sends pictures and updates. He is happy and safe. We wouldn’t choose anyone else!”

About: Hello my name is Shondra and I absolutely love dogs. I am retired so your pup will not be left alone. I have always had dogs my whole life. I have trained bird dogs (German short haired pointer) to hunt which I no longer do but I would love to take care of your pup as if it were my own. I walk my pup everyday so if your pup likes walks he or she can go with us. My house is clean so your pup will not be eating anything that will hurt him or her. I will send you pictures everyday of our activities. I have saved my dog Kiddy (who has now passed away at 19yrs old) from near death when she was 16yrs old. She had an infected tooth which got into her blood and caused her to almost die. the doctor gave her antibiotics but she wasn't eating or drinking for days. I put in a blender chicken and pedialyte, I then poured it into a feeding syringe and carefully put it in her mouth, I did this for 2 days and she came back to life. She got her tooth pulled as soon as she was better. I wanted to tell my story so you know that I will do whatever it takes to care for your pup. Our fur babies are family❤️❤️🙏 I am retired and home to take care of your pup. I do have one little dog and 2 cats. My pup is on an eating schedule and walking schedule so if your pup is on any schedule I will accommodate. My dogs and cats are my family members, your dogs and cats will be my extended family members. Making your fur babies comfortable will be my main priority. I have a fenced yard and I live close to a park for your fur babies daily exercise. I have an unfenced pool but I’m very careful about the dogs getting too close. I know how to give medication if your pup has a prescription. I will feed your fur baby at anytime you desire. I do prefer small to medium size dogs, if your fur baby likes to be on the couch I'm ok with that. I can provide a crate if your pup likes sleeping in one or if you prefer to bring your own that's ok as well. All animals have to be potty trained. I watch a friend's fur baby who uses a dog litter box so if you need to bring one I'm ok with that. I will love your pup as I love my own so he or she will aways feel comfortable in my house. I boil chicken for dog treats so if your pup likes treats he or she will love this.
“Jasmit and her husband were great welcomed Maxx with open arms. Kept communication and also plenty of pictures. Would def hire them to take care of Maxx again .. Maxx came home a very happy dog.”

“Destiney was very responsive and sent me photos to make sure I was comfortable while away. I appreciated this, my pup is my baby it’s always nerve wracking to leave him with someone I don’t know. I would definitely book her again!”

“Our dog, Mika, had an amazing time with Dipinthi! Dipinthi kept in touch with us and kept us posted most of the stay. We felt at ease and reassured that Mika was being cared for as if it were our own family caring for her. We would have Mika stay with Dipinthi again in the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Manteca
Deb is a very caring and accommodating sitter. She is very knowledgeable and was communicative throughout our dog Baxter’s stay. We are new to being dog owners with a rescue that we found on the streets of Stockton. Without knowing his previous history we were slightly nervous as to how he would behave at someone else’s house. Deb is very patient, kind and compassionate. She has a Labrador as well. They got along great. It was so nice to be able to take our dog to someone’s house for not only a playdate, but to someone who is an absolute dog lover as Deb. We hope we can bring Baxter to her in the future if needed. She said he is always welcome and that is so reassuring. Deb was so kind to keep us updated with pictures, and texts on how Baxter was doing. I want to end my review by commending Deb by providing us with some positive feedback and reassurance in our dog’s behavior, which was very welcoming. Thank you again for all you did for us and Baxter.

Ben and his family were absolutely wonderful with our two pups! This was our first time using Rover and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it far exceeded my hopes for pet care. Kona and Kobe are 10 and 9 respectively, and each come with their own quirks in their old age. Ben was attentive and accommodating, providing regular updates along the way. They got daily walks, snuggles, and were welcomed into Ben’s home as if they were his own pets. We hope to work with Ben again in the future!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
