“Teaghan took excellent care of our dog. She communicates well and is very responsive. She sent pictures and kept in good contact while she was at our home. It was our first time using Rover and we are so pleased with our experience with Teaghan!”

“Cannot say enough good things about Amalie! Great communicator, extremely responsible, very flexible, and always willing to help. She really cares about the pets she takes care of and we wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again when we need someone to stay at our house and watch our cat & dog. A+++”

About: I recently gained a more flexible schedule with work that allows me to spend more time with my dogs. I would love to be able to share this available time with other’s pets as well so that they can remain healthy and engaged while their owners may be at work or traveling. It’s their time so I cater care to their likes and needs (as little or as much that is wanted). I have worked in previous dog day care facilities as well as running training schools, board and train programs, and have worked as a dog foster mom for years. I have a heated and cooled indoor/outdoor access kennel with electricity that can be utilized in addition to our pet friendly single family home by owners request. I am also CPR and first aid certified for dogs and am comfortable blood testing, injections and amputees. I work in sports medicine with people and am currently combining my passion for canines with my passion for medicine by opening a Canine Sports Medicine Rehabilitation Facility for animals recovering from injuries or genetic or behavioral issues. I currently have a flexible work schedule and spend my spare time in school, renovating our new-old house, and caring for our animals, one of them being a new amputee and battling cancer. Each of our animals is very unique and I do my best to cater to each of their joys and needs for the day. With a training and education background, I do the same with client pets. I listen to the client about what they are comfortable with and the pets preferences and adjust accordingly to make for a safe and engaged pet.
About: I'm a safe, dependable dog walker and sitter. I treat all pets lovingly. I adopted my Golden Doodle at three years old after I retired. She's like my child! I patiently let her acquaint herself into my home. She welcomes other friendly dogs. I watched a Doxy Doodle for four months and my Golden Doodle was very welcoming and friendly. I am loving and nurturing to all pets, keep them safe, and take care of their needs so they are happy. I'm semi-retired, and work from home. I do my errands, and in the near future will be working two nights per week. This gives me plenty of time to watch your pet, and make sure their needs are met. My house is a safe clean environment. I have a fenced in yard with a friendly Golden Doodle to keep your pet company. Also a nice neighborhood for walks and other friendly dogs. I have furniture covers that I keep clean, and allow pets on my furniture for their comfort.
About: I have dog sat multiple dogs at one time for as long as a week long stay. I am very active and enjoy outside walks, and I am able to keep up with fast, strong, and heavy pets. I have always loved animals and am happy to sit and pet a dog or cat for hours. I am a full time student with a low commitment part time job looking for a way to fill my time with work I am passionate about which is spending time with animals and helping owners! I prioritize integrity, safety, and communication. My goal is to keep pets safe and owner’s minds at ease. I enjoy quality time with pets and want to make your life easier!
About: I have loved and cared for dogs for over 30 years. I have taken care of other peoples pets for over 10 years. I love to interact with animals and provide exceptional general care ❤️🧡🏳️🌈 I am pretty flexible and available unless already booked through my other house sitting services. We can find a time that works! for a meet and greet. It would be your home, they would get to remain comfortable and free of exposure to other animals with a variety of issues from a loving and kind professional.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have taken care of pets since I was 15. I love going for long walks and meeting new people and animals! I currently work remotely and have a lot of time on my hands for a hobby or job. I love dogs and pets and this is a great opportunity to do something I enjoy! I have a big back yard and love going for walks. Now that it’s getting warmer out, I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time outside!
About: I’ve cared for and loved many cats and dogs throughout my life. Growing up with both, and now as an adult pet parent to two cats and a high-energy puppy, I’m well-versed in the needs of animals at every life stage. From playful puppies to senior pets, I’m fully prepared and confident in handling it all with patience, care, and energy. I currently run by own business from home meaning I make my own hours and am very flexible. I can do plenty of quick drop ins or more long term stays. Safety and providing a loving/nurturing experience is the most important to me. When walking, I do carry an air horn to only be used if there is a safety concern. Coyotes are plentiful in my area so I take any and all precautions.
“Enzo made a new friend! Raven was great. We would definitely recommend her services. We felt confident and comfortable with Enzo in Raven’s care, which was really important to us.”

About: I’m very flexible and willing to work with you. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and sizes over the years, gaining experience through both personal and client-based care. For the past few summers, I’ve specialized in dog walking and boarding puppies for clients, providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while their owners are away. I take pride in giving every pet personalized attention, regular exercise, and lots of affection to make sure they feel right at home Hi, my name is Andrea. I currently work part-time and dedicate the rest of my time to doing what I love most — caring for animals. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I specialize in dog walking and puppy boarding, and I always aim to make each pet feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home. I have a fully fenced-in backyard, so your dog can play safely and securely. I take safety and trust very seriously and treat every pet as if they were my own
“Jeff did a great job with our cat Gretzky. Gretzky is a 20 year old who has some special care needs and Jeff was able to give the cat medicine, feed him his special diet etc. We will definitely hire Jeff again as he is reliable and a good communicator who really likes cats. Highly recommended.”

About: I have lived with and cared for cats since I was in high school, between my family’s and roommate’s cats. Since I didn’t grow up with pets, I love getting to make up for that time lost by meeting and caring for other people’s pets. I have dog sat for friends and family, even overnight, and especially enjoy going on long walks with them. I currently work full time during the week at a school, and am available throughout the weekends. Since I follow a school schedule, I am also often off for long weekends and school breaks. I am very committed to following my or an owner’s schedule when it comes to feeding, walking, and crating. I also routinely clean litter boxes and refresh water bowls. I make sure to play with pets to make sure they’re content and entertained by the time I leave.
“Alexi is a fantastic sitter! We needed someone to stay with our dog who has separation anxiety and can’t be left alone while we went out for the day. Lexi was easy to communicate with and was thorough in asking questions about all of Kaiya’s needs/likes/dislikes in order to provide the best care. She was on time and took great care of Kaiya, following all of our instructions and requests, and sending several photo and video updates throughout the day. They had a great time, we would definitely book with Alexi again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mansfield
Used Jessica for the first time and she did NOT disappoint!! She has experience with reactive dogs, big dogs, and used to work at a veterinarian's office, so has some great practical knowledge. My three girls LOVED her (including the reactive one). She followed all instructions perfectly (dietary for the allergic-to-everything one), played with them, sent cute pics and video, and kept my mind at ease because of her excellent care. Pizza, Peachy, and Choco Bell give an enthusiastic 5 stars, 2 paws up, and endless yodels of of support. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Margaret was absolutely wonderful and we are so grateful to her for taking care of our German Shepherd. She was prompt, communicative, and trustworthy. Our dog seemed to truly enjoy his time with her, and it was so reassuring to receive photos and updates while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better and are overjoyed to have found such an amazing local sitter. I would highly recommend Margaret to anyone looking for a pet sitter and we will definitely be booking with her again in the future!

Brianna was so thoughtful - took excellent care of our two senior citizen pups. Very communicative on how they were doing, eating, etc. Sent us pics. If she wasn't sure about something, she asked. Made us feel confident that our dogs were getting the best care. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Mansfield on Rover is $72.15 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 6,615 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mansfield. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mansfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mansfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mansfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mansfield. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
