“Andrea made sure my little handsome was well taken care of. He has a skin condition that has been getting progressively worse and I didn't want to leave him in a kennel or bordering facility because it's also contagious. My dog doesn't get along with other dogs, but she was understanding that his meds makes him sleepy and groggy. She was accommodating enough to offer her own towels or a couple sheets but i bought new ones for this very reason with his cage. Even though it was for a couple hours I didn't want the boarding facility stress him out and the possibility of his condition to worsen. You can see it in her eyes how much she loves fur babies. She went beyond than what was required and greatful for her compassionate loving nature. I know Hades will be in good hands when and if I need her to watch my lil handsome”

“Our sweet deaf pup stayed with Annmarie for the day and she couldn't have been safer and happier. This was our first Rover experience, so there was a bit of anxiety dropping our puppy off at a stranger's house. However, Annmarie made us feel welcome through her ongoing communication before, during, and after the visit, and I felt a sense of relief knowing that our special needs dog was well cared for. I highly recommend this host for your doggy day care needs.”

About: I have done this professionally for over four years. With 9 years total experience. Started with a dog walking company now doing it on my own. Growing up I had an English Mastiff and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog named Cyrus & Jack. I love all animals, spending time with them for me is therapeutic and whenever I would travel it makes it so much easier knowing your dog (who is family!) is well taken care of. It means a lot to be able to provide that to people and their pets. I work security at Gillette part time, while also studying acting at a conservatory during the year. I have most of my time off now and can fill it doing this, providing great care and service. When I am working with a pet it is the top priority nothing comes above that. I go through a complete list of checks whenever sitting or going to a clients home. I can accommodate travel and pick ups. When boarding my attention is always to them, taking them for walks, to the bathroom and out to play with a toy or enjoy the nice weather.
About: What sets me apart is my focus on providing individualized, loving care tailored to your pet’s specific needs. I have experience with both energetic puppies and senior pets, offering gentle care, attention, and a safe environment. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or helping with daily routines, I ensure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well-cared for. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine, and I make sure to prioritize it alongside my other responsibilities. I set aside dedicated time each day to provide pets with the attention they need, whether it’s feeding, playtime, walks, or simply offering companionship. I enjoy staying active and engaged with pets, and it’s a fulfilling way to balance my schedule while ensuring every pet gets the care and affection they deserve When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize creating a comfortable, safe environment tailored to their needs. In my home, pets have access to a spacious area to relax, play, and enjoy their surroundings. I follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, medication, or routines, ensuring their environment remains consistent with what they’re used to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines, providing regular updates and staying in touch to ensure peace of mind. I make sure their pets are well-exercised, comfortable, and content, whether it’s through walks, playtime, or cuddles. My goal is to keep pets happy and stress-free while maintaining their regular schedule as much as possible.

“We were delighted with the care for Hugo. We were nervous about leaving him with a new family in unaccustomed surroundings but he clearly had a nice time and was very relaxed when he came home.”

“Shelley was wonderful in caring for our dog. We met with her on a "meet and greet" and then she cared for him for a day. She listened to and respected our issues, and he clearly really enjoyed his time with her. We will use her again.”

“Such a lovely experience leaving Scout with Kelly! He made friends and was so sleepy when he came home. We can’t wait to have Scout play with Sonny again. Scout had an absolute blast!”

I’m patient, calm, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs, from feeding routines to behavioral quirks. I have a flexible schedule and work from home, so caring for pets fits smoothly into our day. I’m able to provide regular walks, play breaks, and check-ins without rushing. In my home, pets have a safe and comfortable environment with plenty of space to explore. About: Hi my name is Sierra! I have grown up with animals my entire life and feel genuinely comfortable around all animals, large and small! I have taken care of my own family dogs, as well as pet sit and walk neighbors and other friends dogs. I am always happy, but properly cautious, when meeting new furry friends however I have never met an animal, specifically a dog, that I do not love. My good friends know me as the girl who will always point on every dog I see to you. I would love to come meet your furry friend, and shower them with as much love as I can and to give them everything you need, as I understand life can be so busy and we always want what is best for them! Hi! I’m Sierra. I’m 27 and work in Higher Ed. I work full time from home, Monday through Friday in a role that is very flexible. My dog recently passed at age 13, and while I’m not feeling ready yet to adopt or foster, I still want some animals in my life! I would love to take care of your animals (I have 15+ years of experience caring for cats, dogs, and horses) while you’re out for the day at work and your pet needs just a check in, or I can host them in my cozy and pet friendly home or take care of them at yours! I’m pretty active and would love to take your animals out and play, walk, small hikes if you’d prefer! They can also come to my home and spend the day with me as I am home all day, where they can be taken care of. I have heat and AC, and a safe and reliable vehicle. I have a mostly fenced in large yard that would be supervised 100% of the time. I am willing to host your pets at my home for a day or prolonged period of time. You can drop off your pet to me on your way to work, or I can come pick them up. I own a multi- family house, and live on property in a spacious apartment. I have a mostly fenced in large yard. I have a safe and reliable vehicle for transportation. I am home all day (WFH) and I have AC in the summer and heat in the winter. I am also willing to drop in on your pets during the day for feedings, walk, enrichment if you prefer they stay home, or drop in just for a walk a few times a day as well as needed for your pet.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mansfield commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
