“Was a little nervous boarding my dog for the first time since my pup is an older hound mix. She took everything into consideration and kept me updated promptly and professionally with pictures. Bowie loved his stay and made some new friends while he was at it. I would highly recommend boarding with her.”

“Great communication, very caring and loving. Our fur-sweetheart came home happy and relaxed. Willing to do meet and greet and photo/video updates provided. Our minds were at ease knowing that our fur-sweetheart was properly being cared for and given lots of love. Would definitely recommend and schedule again!”

“Kaylyn was awesome! This was our first time leaving Riley with a sitter overnight so I was pretty nervous, but Kaylyn really knows what she is doing and eased all my worries. She is super responsive, sent tons of adorable pictures of Riley and her pup Ragnar playing and snuggling. Riley was very happy coming home and seemed like he had a good time, we will definitely be booking with Kaylyn again! :)”

“Ms. Brandi and her family were amazing. Her and her daughter welcomed me and Arrow for a meet and greet and I knew right then that I wanted to choose their family. I received daily photos/videos/updates throughout the day. I would definitely choose them if they are available. Arrow enjoyed his stay and the proof was him sleeping the entire ride back home and through the entire night. Thank you again. -AA (Akita &Arrow)”

About: Hi! My name is Bentley and I am a Pre-Vet/ Animal Science Major at Kansas State University. This means I will be doing dog sitting in your home. Some qualities that set me apart from other sitters is my level of expertise. I have had dogs and cats my whole life and have always been the one to take care of them. However, I also have spent 3 years growing my experience around animals at multiple jobs. I have worked at a doggy daycare, service dog school, and a vet clinic. All of these jobs have allowed me to learn more about the animals and how to properly take care of them regardless or age, size, or breed. I would love to spend time with your pet and give you the comfort you deserve from a pet sitter! Since I am going into my freshman year at K-State my class schedule varies. However, I will always be flexible with hours needed and what works for me. I plan on getting a part time job as well while also ensuring time for your pets! I am very flexible with how I take care of your pets depending on what they are used to with you! However, all pets will be treated with love just like they are my own!
“Cori was great with our dog and made him feel right at home! He enjoyed lots of walks and got loved on by her and her children. They even stayed downstairs and made sure he felt safe when there was a round of severe weather. We hope to book with her again when we go out of town!”

“Sarah boarded my dog when I had an emergency out of town trip. Most boarding places in Clarksville were booked due to fall break. I was nervous about using rover for the first time, but Sarah has earned my trust! My dog was well taken care of, I received pictures, and he seemed happy when I picked him up. I recommend her and her sweet family and will be using her services again in the future!”
About: I've had dogs my entire life. My grandfather was a dog trainer and when I went to visit him, I helped him care for any of the dogs he had at the time. I currently have a 1.5 year old Husky German Shepherd mix. She has PRAA so I have become very comfortable with special feeding instructions as a result. I work during during the week. I am home everyday by approximately 12pm. On the weekends I am home all the time, we live a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk from a dog park and we love going all the time. I have a large fenced in backyard. We live on a quiet street and all of our neighbors are very friendly. My dog loves sitting out in the backyard on the deck or playing fetch.
About: For the last 20 years I've been deeply involved with dog rescue and fostering. I have experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments as well as dogs in need of special care. I am an animal lover through and through and I will make sure your friend(s) will get the loving care they deserve. If your pets have medications that they routinely need I have lots of experience with administering meds and dealing with other health issues. I have a relatively flexible work schedule Monday through Friday, I can do walks and play in the early afternoon most days as well as evenings. Ask me about my boarding service as well ! I currently live with three seniors and two younger pups, I live out in the country and have two homes, on one of the properties there are two fenced areas with plenty of room for zoomies. If you would like to board your friends with me, I am fine with having them out and about in the house when I'm present, but they would most likely need to be crated if left alone. Contact me with questions and I can give you more details.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Manhattan
Victoria is very friendly, her fenced yard was a strong incentive to book with her and she walked our dog as well. We can't get a review from our dog and he was crazy-nuts to be back home with his family. But he looked great and Victoria said she liked him and he was welcome to return, So it seems like all went well this first time and we will not hesitate to rebook. Thanks Victoria!!

Jessi did a wonderful job with our girl! She has a very clean environment, individual kennel space and we loved receiving the daily pictures. Our girl felt right at home besides having more fur friends to play with. She came home very happy. We highly recommend her. Truly worth every penny!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Amazing Dog Sitter! I recently had my dog cared for by Colton and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we met, it was clear that they genuinely love and understand animals. They treated my dog like family, and I felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. Throughout the stay, I received regular updates, pictures, and messages that showed my dog having fun, getting plenty of attention, and being well taken care of. My dog can be a little shy with new people, but he warmed up to them instantly which says a lot about their energy and patience. The home was clean, safe, and dog-friendly, and they followed all my instructions perfectly. When I picked my dog up, he was happy, calm, and clearly had a great time. It gave me huge peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I highly recommend Colton to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter. I will definitely be booking with them again!

Sylvie was wonderful watching my puppy over the weekend! She was so accommodating in taking in a young puppy and made sure he was well cared for. I really appreciated the daily pictures and updates—it gave me such peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely trust Sylvie to watch him again!
Nicole was amazing! She took great care of my Annie. She sent updates and pictures which made me very happy. Nicole seems very knowledgeable about dogs and their behaviors. My puppy started her period the day I dropped her off and Nicole took great care of her. Definitely recommend letting her watch your baby!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
