Information Amanda K. would like to know about your pet
I definitely need to know that the dog will be ok around kids, as I have a 14 year old and 10 year old, who love their furry friends. I also try to stick to their schedule (eating, walks, etc), so it’s helpful to inform me of that. Also, I require that any new boarding clients have a meet and greet before booking to ensure a good fit.
A typical day
I will tailor activities to the dog that we are caring for. If it's an ultra active dog, be prepared for lots of lovely long walks to various parks/playgrounds, and maybe take a run through some sprinklers on those hot, dog days of summer. If your dog is more of a homebody, we have lots of comfy blankets and laps to snuggle up with.

Pet care experience
Our family moved to the Little Apple from the Big Apple! Originally from the Midwest, I had dogs all my life and volunteered at Alive Rescue in Chicago after our pup passed. Our rescue specialized in animals who were overlooked due to their breed and/or needs, and we worked with and trained them to help them find perfect forever homes. I started as a volunteer, and quickly rose to the role of shift leader, responsible for coordinating volunteers and animals on the shift, as well as dealing with potential adopters. In our house, we have a cat named Faraday, who can be selective of the furry friends he makes, otherwise he makes himself scarce. We also have two non-furry kids (10 and 14 year old girls) who LOVE dogs. Your pup will pretty much be the star of the show, from tons of pets and snuggles, to walks in the neighborhood and City Park.

Our sweet Lilly loves going to stay with Amanda! She gets so excited when I drop her off! Thanks Amanda!
Amanda did an unbelievable job with Lilly! Great communication and updates a couple times a day. Thank you Amanda!

Amanda and her family warmly welcomed our sweet Schnoodle, Harley, into their home. They played with her and took her on walks all the while continuing to update us with pictures and comments of how things were going! We would absolutely feel comfortable leaving our dog with Amanda again.

We are so grateful to Amanda and her family for taking such wonderful care of Peanut while we toured the campus. He was clearly so happy and well-loved during his time with them! He came back relaxed, tail wagging, and full of excitement from his walk and all the attention he received. It was such a relief to know he was in such caring hands. Thank you for treating him like part of your family!
