About: My name is Emiko, I’ve been living on Maui for awhile now but new to Rover. I have a spaniel mix pup named Zephyr (after the wind in The Odyssey bc he runs like the wind), and grew up with both dogs and cats my whole life. I love animals and the healing energies they bring in their personalities and just love how funny they are. Getting a dog has been one of the most healing things in my life, he is literally my best friend, baby and side kick and I understand finding someone who will take the upmost care for your pet is a crucial decision. Especially if they come with baggage or little quirks (Zephyr is a rescue) or they need extra care like medication, etc. I will take care of your pets like they’re my own—feeding, walking, playing, following any other additional instructions and giving them lots of love to feel safe and happy 🤍 I am currently phasing out of my part time job that is three days a week to working remotely from home full time. Currently on the days I work, I will only be available for drop ins early morning by 8AM or after work at 7 PM Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow instructions closely, keep a clean and calm environment, and make sure your pet feels secure and loved at all times. I’m attentive to their body language and needs, and I never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. Whether we’re out on a walk or relaxing at home, I’ll treat your pet like family—with patience, care, and lots of affection. You can trust that they’re in safe, reliable hands with me.

About: Having a dog or any animal in your life is a blessing and should be cherished. Throughout my years animals have saved my life and kept me company through the good and bad times. I currently don’t have my own dog anymore, she went to dogo heaven a couple years ago so now I’m taking the liberty to take care of others. I moved here a 2 1/2 years ago for work saying goodbye to my extended Rover fam in Cali. I have A-LOT of experience working with pets and owners on and off Rover. About: Your pup will be exposed to an active lifestyle. We walk an average of 5 miles per day and typically do so in green, natural and shady spaces like the makawao forest We walk before the sun is high near the coast line, makawao forest midday and beach at sunset This helps keeps us active safe and clean :) We play various games that keep mental stimulation. Pups sleep on their furniture pieces. But nap time is nap time. And by the time the morning or midday adventures are through they’re ready to nap.

About: I have taken care of dogs since around age 11, having households pets since then. Also have cared for other family members and friends dogs when they are out of town. I am looking to work part or full time with dogs or cats. I have a flexible schedule and am able to make last minute changes if needed. At home we have a fenced yard as well as taking the dogs on walks. For friends and family members I take them on walks as well as staying in the home to play with them.

About: When I was 14 I started a pet sitting business with my Mom. We took care of multiple family’s dogs and cats in my neighborhood. I was a pet sitter until I went to college. From age 20-22 I was a dog foster mom and pet sat through Rover. I love all animals and have experience with dogs, cats, and rodents. I always clean up after myself, follow instructions carefully, and spend extra time playing with your pets. My communication skills are excellent and I will send you cute pictures and updates about your pet(s). I have peaceful energy and animals feel safe with me. I start my work day at 10am which gives me plenty of time to care for your pets each morning. I work 4 hour shifts and have an hour or two midday to spend with your pets. I’m a homebody and spend my evenings at home. I like to spend time with my friends on the weekends and I always stay on north shore. I have multiple part time jobs with a semi flexible schedule. I’m a nanny for a toddler, caregiver for a lady with Alzheimer’s, and personal care assistant/driver for a blind man. Safety is the top priority for me, I’ve never had an issue with safety while pet sitting. Dogs must always be on leashes and if unleashed in a backyard I’m always outside supervising them. I follow all instructions.

About: For my kindergarten career day I showed up as a vet. After that, I became the kid in the house that would constantly be "adopting" new animals. It goes without saying that I've always been an animal lover. This led me to study and graduate with a bachelors in animal science. Throughout my bachelors I was a foster parent for my university's pre veterinary and pet rescue group. During this time I fostered dozens of pets (cats and dogs). After graduating I developed an entered in conservation and my career path shifted to the study of wildlife conservation. However I worked for 3 years as a veterinary technician while I continued to pursue my career in conservation. Two of these years were at a pet veterinary clinic and one year was as a wildlife rehabilitation of migratory birds. Right now I have beautiful 3 year old tabby cat who is not a queen but a "Khaleesi". However I thought I'd share the love since she's so spoiled. I know that even with my academic and professional experience I'm more than prepared but as a pet parent myself and a veterinary technician I understand that no matter how safe they are, we still worry. So why choose me? My intention is to be someone relatable, dependable and approachable to my clients. The goal is to make you as a pet parent and your pet as comfortable as possible. I'm currently employed by the Maui Humane Society and will only offer my services as long as it doesn't conflict with working hours. Meaning that if I accept your request, your pet will have all of my time and attention. Open to house sitting during work days as long as we agree on everything and both parties are on the same page. At your location I will adhere to any requests or methods you have as long as it's a safe environment. At my location your pet will be under my care and sometimes interact with my partner who is also a veterinary technician. My 3 year old female cat (Khaleesi) lives with me on and off. She's and inside cat that goes on walks, has outside monitored time and is very pampered overall. All vaccines up to date, takes flea prevention monthly and is spayed. Whether you're open to our pets playing together and/or sharing space is up to you. Khaleesi is used to other pets both dogs and cats. They can be separated and sometimes will be regardless since just like people some animals just aren't meant to get along. All of these things will be discussed before on you agreeing on my services. The point is for you to feel comfortable.

About: I have taken care of animals all my life, friends and family asked me to take care of their pets, from dogs and cats to exotic animals. I love spending time with animals since you always discover different personalities in each of them.
