“Kiaya went above and beyond to ensure the my dog Keku was completely cared for. She communicated well and allowed us to enjoy are trip away from home without worry. We will definitely rebook her again.”

“Dyllyn stopped in to check in on our cats while we were on vacation and she was wonderful! Super responsive and very friendly, we will absolutely be using her services again!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have an awesome 5 year old cattahoula mix who loves to make friends! We live at the back of Iao Valley, right next to the stream and have a beautiful fenced in half acre for the dogs to run around on. I work from home so will be w pup all day! They have free range to be inside or outside whenever they want. Lots of attention and love. I have a huge fenced in yard. Dogs have their own door that is always open for them to come in and out. Lots to explore and sniff!
“Megan was sweet to offer a meet and greet before I even had to ask and showed up early. She is extra communicative for anxious pet owners and always came and left when she was booked for. Megan played with my kitten and followed directions for her food, treats, toys, and bed time routine, helping us stay consistent. Her demeanor and intentionality as a pet sitter had me book her multiple times before the first stint was over to ensure we have the best care when I am not there (what any pet owner or lover wants). Thanks Megan!”

“Rachel did an excellent job of caring for a dog who is very shy. She was gentle and, with her patience and kindness, was able to get my dog to trust her. When my dog is upset and anxious, he pees on the couch and does destructive things. He did none of those things while in Rachel's care. I will definitely use her again!”

About: I’m currently doing my undergrad and want to become a physical therapist so I can take care of the kūpuna. This past summer I completed 40 hours of shadowing. I’m on summer break so I have a lot of free time. Trying to make money before summer ends. I gotta go back to school soon. My girlfriend has 2 dogs that we feed, walk, and care for. I will do the same for yours. I can also pick up poop for extra cost.
“Hannah was awesome! She helped us in a pinch and was very reliable and great to work with. We felt comfortable with the care provided for our pups and have actually already booked with her again! 10/10 recommend. Thanks, Hannah!”

About: I am also on the wag app. I volunteer at the local animal shelter on Maui. My service radius includes Wailuku, Kahului, and Waikapu. Mary Monday- Wednesday after the week of July 20th. I work Thursday-Sunday at my main job by kaahumanu mall on the island of Maui in the year 2025. I have a fenced yard. I double check the collars before starting to walk dogs on the island of Maui in central Maui Areas 2025.
About: Hi! I’m Rae! Ever since my dad handed me my first Boston Terrier when I was a little girl, my heart has belonged to the animals. I was lucky enough to grow up in a household with pets, and as an adult I couldn’t imagine not having pets. I also recognize that even though we wish we could take our furbabies everywhere, it’s just not a reality for a lot of us. So, I’m happy to be able to ease the worry of wanting or needing to travel, work, etc by offering to take care of your babies while you’re away. I’ve also traveled to help take care of pets while they’re pawrents were away, tending to both their pets and home. Currently I have a lot of open availability. I prefer to be able to come to your house as I have two pups and three kitties in my home, and I know a pet is usually more comfortable in their own environment. The less that has to change for pets, the better so they don’t have to experience the stress of a new place or dog boarding. So I’m happy to provide potty breaks, walkies, play time, and in home sitting if needed. With direction from you, I’m happy to follow guidelines that you have set up for your pets in your home from their daily routine, to walks etc.

“Steph was outstanding, on time, attentive to our pets needs and kept us in the loop daily. I would definitely use her again and highly recommend her to other pet owners. Very trustworthy and responsible... thank you Steph for everything!”

“Megan was SO awesome!! I was in a huge bind trying to find someone to help out for a hospital stay, and had no advance notice. I joined Rover in a panic! Megan responded to my Rover request right away, and made time to get the key (in one direction on the island), and then head back to help the stranded pups (in the other direction) all within HOURS!!! She came up with creative ideas on her own (that she ran by me) to help out in this unique situation. She really was a lifesaver, and was an EXCELLENT communicator the entire time. She really went above and beyond, and I am SO grateful! I would definitely recommend her!!”
About: I’ve lived with and cared for pets all my life. Most of my experience is with dogs and cats. I’d love to meet your fur babies and help while you’re away! I’m a stay at home mom looking to fill some of my free time I’m pretty flexible but mornings and early afternoons are best for me. Im happy to help with walks, food and water. Litter boxes and pet clean up. I can also help care for plants and other small tasks.
“Great experience. Jess maintained great communication and was flexible with my needs. she has an easy way about interacting with the dogs, and they responded well to her.”

About: I have been a pet sitter and walker since I was 13. I was known as the neighborhood dog walker whenever someone went on vacation or needed an extra hand. I am currently unemployed and will be on Maui for the summer so I am very flexible and can help whenever it is needed or however it is needed! I have a nice grassy backyard in my condo building and a pet friendly condo that can meet any pet owners needs and happy to help!
“Leilani did great with Pebbles and her little kittens. They all grew closer to her each day and looked forward to seeing her in the mornings and nights. Leilani prepared their meals - all separately from kittens to mama Pebbles, washed all their feeding and water bowls when they were done and even cleaned out their litter box each day. She showed up on time and send me photos of Pebbles and the kittens twice a day. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Leilani and look forward to having her watch Pebbles and the kittens again.”

Dyllyn was fantastic! She was able to drop by on short notice to take my dog out and arrived right on time. She was patient, caring, and made sure my dog was comfortable. I accidentally booked the wrong day, but Dyllyn was incredibly understanding and worked with me to modify the appointment. Her flexibility and reliability were a huge help, and she was there exactly when I needed her. I highly recommend Dyllyn and would gladly book with her again.

Olina was wonderful! She took great care of our black cat Goku while we were away during the Christmas season. We are so grateful. She is very trustworthy and responsible. Our cat really liked her as well. When we returned our house was clean and our cat was healthy and happy.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
