“Wanda & Lonnie were wonderful! Their space is amazing. They sent great photos while we were away and were so understanding for being running late from dropping and picking up Brulee. We can tell Brulee has a great time and I can tell that they took good care of Brulee. I highly recommend them.”

“My little dog, Buddy, had a marvelous time with Leah. Leah provided great communication and kept me updated while I was traveling. Buddy made a new friend in Marley. We would absolutely use Leah again!”

“Yen took such wonderful care of our pup, Blue, while we were on vacation! She kept us updated with lots of pictures, and it was clear that Blue was happy, comfortable, and well loved. We came home to a calm, content dog, a true sign he was in good hands. Highly recommend Yen and would absolutely book with her again!”

“We are so grateful to have found Amber, Abe, and Einstein!! They sent us pictures and videos throughout Willa’s stay while we were out of town. It was so comforting to know that she was being cared for and loved by them. She had plenty of lap time, potty breaks, rest time and lizard hunting! We couldn’t imagine better pet sitters than these guys!!”

“Carrie & Jonathan take care of her and updated me. Carrie was very flexible and willing to accept her my request when my plans was changed. I appreciate it your willingness, and I am grateful for your support and care of my dog.”
“Farah was great! My dog, Cali got to run around Farah’s big outdoor area with her friendly dog, Hoagie. Farah sent me update pics and was responsive to my last minute requests. I would definitely use her again for any dog sitting needs.”

“Sachi had a wonderful stay with Casey. Casey is an excellent dog sitter and I would highly recommend him. Shortly after our “meet and greet” visit, we returned Sachi for an overnight stay and as soon as we parked the car Sachi could hardly wait to run to Casey’s front door! Thank you, Casey, for taking good care of Sachi.”

“Randi was very delightful and attentive to our 4.5 month old Pug. It was last minute over the July 4th weekend and she gladly welcomed our “Gus” to her beautiful home. She kept us posted with pictures, posts and videos to let us know how much fun he was having at camp! We will certainly use her again in the future.”

“Bridget and her family were loving and took great care for our dog, Snickers. She is timid around new dogs and people, and they provided a safe and positive environment. I loved the daily updates and pictures, it made us feel at ease. My favorite was her jumping on the bed to wake up the family. That made my heart smile and I knew right away that she was ok. Thank you Bridget and family for loving on our Snickers!”

“I’d recommend Johnathan! He’s like a dog whisperer. Mika always has issues with new sitters and I was a bit worried at first she kept barking non stop as usual but after a while she settled in but still barked several times. Lacey was no problem she’s always mellow and friendly. Mika in the other hand is very defensive but Johnathan took them in with short time spent with Johnathan Mika barely barked going home after the meet and greet. Then back at it when I dropped them off-when I picked them up Mika made a good connection with Johnathan and she didn’t even bark in my car just crying a bit but no barking she didn’t even want to get out of my car to go inside our home! Amazing improvement!! I’d go to Johnathan for my dogs anytime and highly recommend him as well got updated a few times in the day to keep me updated on how they’re doing. Johnathan is the new dog whisper on Maui!! Love it!!!! Thanks a million!!😊😊😊😊”

“Rochelle was super friendly and accommodating. She had great communication and sent us numerous text during our pups stay. Coco took to Rochelle extremely well, which is not very common for her. From the moment we dropped her off, we felt extremely comfortable and could tell that Coco did too. Rochelle’s space was very dog friendly. Our Pup was even on several medications at the time, which Rochelle made sure to give her and stayed on top of. I would definitely recommend Rochelle for your pups next stay! 10/10!”

“Shanelle is the best!!! My dog stayed with her for a week and I got updates and pictures of a very very happy dog every day. Shanelle is very responsive and always messaged me right back. It was clear she treated my dog like a member of her family. If you are looking for peace of mind when looking for care for your pet, look no further.”

“Paisley was great! She took Dumpling to the dog park and he looked so calm and comfy at her place. He’s an anxious dog but seemed right at home. She’s quick to respond and very informative! I would highly recommend her!”

About: Lifelong pet caretaking is rooted in the belief that pets are not just animals; they are family members deserving of love, respect, and dedicated care throughout their lives. This philosophy emphasizes the importance of understanding each pet's unique needs, preferences, and personality. Ive had dogs all my life and firmly believe they need to be cared for as the family members they are. Pet care seamlessly integrates into my work-from-home life by providing companionship and stress relief during breaks. Daily walks and playtime offer essential physical activity, while structured feeding times establish a routine. This balance enhances productivity, creating a nurturing environment that benefits both your work and your pet's well-being. My apartment is a short walk to the beach park and dog park where they're is space to roam and exercise. While in my home they enjoy constant companionship and attention.
“Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Kule was so well taken care of! Jo and Tame treated our baby like their own and absolutely showered her in love. Kule unexpectedly went into heat during her stay and I felt so bad but they took care of her and went out of their way to make her feel comfortable. They always sent pictures and videos of her on her walks and was very communicative during the whole 3.5 weeks. I will totally stay in touch with them and even meet up at the dog park for the pups to play. It’s hard trusting people with our fur babies while we are away but I 100% recommend them to everyone and will use them if ever we are off island again.”

“Eric and Nancy were a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and accommodating. Our Golden Retriever Reggie had great time — they sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the stay. Reggie was wearing a cone and they were great about taking care of him. I will definitely book them again!”
“Diann watched our 9 month Pomeranian, Nalu, for 11 days and Nalu came back so happy, healthy and trained in new ways! Diann was communicative and kind. Her passion is animals and it really shows. We will definitely turn to Diann anytime we need a sitter again. Thank you so much!”

About: I have a husky mix Kea and we are super active! Daily walks and animal care is in my daily routine. I have been doing rover for a long time now. Apart from dogs, I worked/lived at a cat sanctuary in Haiku that had over 200+ cats as well as chickens and cows. My job consisted of feeding, giving medicine/attention, and cleaning after them everyday. I take care of my husky mix Kea everyday! I work from home m-f and have lots of free time. I love to take care of all kinds of animals. I am looking for some extra jobs on the island! I would make sure I am aware of the clients needs and expectations when being in their home. I will be aware of any precautions and contact the owner with any issues. I will take care of the animals with anything that is needed (walking/feeding/put into crate/attention), I am a quick learner and am open to any specific jobs.
“Gio did an amazing job taking care of my 8-month-old puppy, Mariko. She was great about sending me photos and videos of Mariko playing with her dog, Miki, and getting plenty of exercise. I really appreciated how attentive she was—when a problem came up with Mariko’s eyes, Gio was very prompt in letting me know and worked with me to figure out the best solution. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Mariko was in such good hands. I’ll definitely be using Gio’s dog-sitting services again the next time I need to travel off island!”

Marion took such great Care of my Bailey Girl! Super friendly and welcoming! Huge fenced-in yard for playtime and an extremely safe environment! Provided lots of peace of mind during my 9-Night Trip. I received lots of photos of Bailey while I was gone. She was a happy girl, and she made lots of new friends! I will definitely book with Marion again in the future!!!

Megan is excellent! She had my 1 year old pup for 5 nights and did a great job caring for him and even training new commands! Her home has a big fenced yard and the living room is fully open and puppy proof. My dog loved playing with her dog and they got along great. It was storming outside during this stay and Megan was able to get the dogs play and exercise. I recommend her!

Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
