About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and proud pet parent who would love to help care for your furry family members! 🐾 I’ve always been the person friends and family can count on to care for their pets, and I understand how important it is to know your animals are safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pet needs a walk, some playtime, companionship, or someone to keep them company while you’re traveling, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own pets. I love both dogs and cats and am comfortable getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine. I’m also a fish owner myself, so I have a special appreciation for pets of all kinds—even the ones who don’t give cuddles back! 😂🐠 My goal is to give you peace of mind and give your pets plenty of love, attention, and care while they’re with me. I can’t wait to meet you and your best friend! ❤️🐶🐱 Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine! I work from home four days a week, which gives me flexibility throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, feeding, and plenty of attention. I’m also available during my lunch break and in the early mornings between 6–8 AM. On the one day I work in the office, I plan my availability accordingly to ensure I only accept bookings I can fully commit to. With enough advance notice, I’m also happy to provide overnight care in your home when needed. I take reliability seriously and will always make sure your pet gets the care and attention they need! 🐾 I believe every pet is unique, so my priority is following their usual routine and the care instructions provided by their owner. Whether it’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, or simply giving them the space and attention they need, I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I will treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect. I’ll make sure they have plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship while keeping you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away!
“Emma Rae was wonderful and we felt so comfortable leaving our cats in her care. She came to our home to meet our cats prior to our trip. We loved the pictures she sent of the 2 of them. this was our 1st experience with River and we feel so lucky to have connected with Emma Rae. We will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

“Jess was fantastic! This was our first experience with Rover and Jess went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and assure our furry friends were in great hands. We highly recommend Jess.”

“At first we were apprehensive about choosing a new individual to care for our pets. Our first interaction with Brady was that he was a typical uninterested young man who would be ok, but be nothing special. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised and wrong in our initial assessment. Our assumption that he was disinterested was really him easily and fully understanding our needs the first time we explained them. He only asked intentional and poinient questions to get exactly the information he needed to provide an exceptional service; he didn't need additional clarification which made us think, wrongly, he was not fully engaged. Don't let his approach and directness fool you; he is fully committed to the job at hand and able to accommodate your and your pets' needs. Brady was excellent with our dog and cat while we were away. He took extra time to play with them daily even though it wasn't required. He was also easily willing to check on the house, find a missing mail package, and ensure the dog (who has storm anxiety) was her usual self after a major storm. He was very responsive to texts through the app even at odd times of day. We appreciate his willingness to be flexible with our delayed and changing flights and his anticipation of our needs. We will definitely use his services again and recommend him to others.”

“Tiara was wonderful taking care of our two cats! When our one cat was experiencing separation anxiety she immediately agreed to add a few more check ins to check on him! A+++ sitter; highly recommend!”

“Dear Makayla, thank you so much for taking wonderful care of Christy while we were away. I appreciate your dedication and compassion. I wish you and your family a wonderful new year.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
