About: Have a 2 year old dog Gin who is always looking for a playmate. He’s very friendly and loves guests. Let us watch your dog and make a new best friend Work strictly remote with loads of flexibility for multiple daily walks, fetching, etc. Have 3 fenced in acres perfect for roaming, fetching and zoomies :) Fenced yard. Very friendly 2 year old dog looking for a playmate - lab terrier mix. Couple with no children and both remote workers so loads of time to play and walk.

About: We have had dogs our entire lives. Our Lab Mac passed away after 14 years. We are not ready to have another dog yet, just looking to enjoy yours. We love dogs and we walk often. We’d like to walk your dogs to ensure they get exercise and love. My husband Joel and I love dogs! We have a house with a fenced in backyard. We live in a safe area for walks, with parks and sidewalks. We will walk your dog as much or little as you like.

About: Hi! I’m Ingrid, a mom of 4 boys ages 3-12 and a dog owner to a boy Beagle named Otis. I’ve had dogs all my life and love being with them and caring for them! (I even trained my Beagle myself from a puppy!) We have a large house in the country on 2.5 acres of land. We LOVE having other dogs stay and visit! Otis and the children are very good with other dogs! Other than taking care of the house and kids, taking care of dogs is my only other job, so your pup will get plenty of needed attention and have lots of fun with us!!! We are on a 2.5 acre property, but no fence, so outside time will be on leash only- (we have long leashes for more freedom to roam). Inside is more flexible with free roam in the main area- very large sunroom, living room, and kitchen. Overnight sleeping in crate only.

“Alex and Christina were amazing with Bucky. We booked them last minute and they were so accommodating! They gave me regular updates the whole time he was with them - photos and videos. Bucky has separation anxiety so it was a huge relief to have him with people who know so much about dogs and could take such great care of him. The next time we’re having a night out in Frederick we will definitely book them again!!”

“Dale and Karen we’re amazing! They sat for our dog during a wedding. We were impressed with the communication and how they went out of their way to help us out by providing such great care for Ollie!”

About: We are a mid aged couple who both work from home. I've recently lost my beloved Slugger after 13 years and we were thinking of sharing our love, pets, and attention with other pups that need second home temporarily. We have a small fenced in yard, but also will walk your baby. They will not be crated in our home unless you think it's necessary. We will love on your baby as if they were Slugger! We both work from home 99% of the time, but at least one person will be home at all times during the stay. We can let them out the small fenced in yard throughout the day frequently, but will walk them at lunch time and after work, or more. We have no other dogs or children. Slugger recently passed after 13 short years and left a huge hole in our hearts. He was such a good boy. Your baby will be the only child in our loving home and get ALL THE ATTENTION.

About: As an experienced house and pet sitter I will provide you with peace of mind so that you can travel with ease. I have many satisfied clients and their owners are happy to give you a recommendation! I have been in hospitality for many years as a 5 star AirBnB host and co-host. I often welcomed pets into my home. I know how strong the bond is between owners and pets. And just how important it is that owners can feel confident when entrusting their home and pets to a sitter. I’m also a Red Cross disaster responder in Logistics, Life/Safety/Asset protection, disaster assessment and client casework. Those skills serve me well in other ventures. I’m extremely responsible, dependable, fun, gregarious. **I recently moved into a condo in Lansdown. thrilled to be back in northern Virginia after 25 years on the central coast of California and the Monterey Bay. Sad to leave all my wonderful furry friends, but I am sure I will make new ones quickly. my parents also live in the complex. Great to be near family again. The majority of my business has been word-of-mouth, and that’s why you may not see many recent transactions here on Rover. This past year, my sister and her family(oakton) raised a black lab puppy for the guiding eyes program. Luckily, I was able to spend a good chunk of time in Virginia and got to interact with that wonderful dog, Eliza. We are now scheduled to do it again this fall with a new puppy named Charity. I will get to be more hands-on and participate in the trainings now that I am in Virginia full-time! I have also housesit for several of her neighbors in the Oakton Vale area as I often have come for visits, lasting several weeks or months. For the past several years, I’ve had the pleasure of adding to my skills by taking care of a 10 acre property in the Santa Cruz mountains. I’m responsible for 2 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a chicken coop!! The owner is a retired Cal Fire Captain and current southwest flight attendant, who along with his wife are thrilled with my work ethic and commitment to their property and animals. They can now travel for several weeks in their RV or hop on a flight knowing that I have everything under control. I do take care of their property several times a year, but they are not on the Rover platform. after spending several years at their property, I now take care of a little mini farm. That includes a large flock of chickens and ducks, many goats, a couple of barn, cats, and a beehive. I also babysit for their young girls aged 9 and 10. Additionally, I have assisted the homeowner when they’ve had workshops on the property, the most recent workshops focused on making butter and on baking bread. I always feel honored to be of service in all my endeavors. I enjoy meeting new folks and their pets, taking walks in new neighborhoods or parks and spending quality time with animals. I have experience taking care of horses, chickens, ducks, goats, guinea pigs, fish, koi, lizards, dogs and cats oh and a bird. this is my full-time passion/job! I am also an Artist and paint in acrylics. I recently retired from managing a small apartment complex so I now have lots of free time for pet/house sitting and dog walking. pet care is my full-time hobby/job along with painting cooking and baking. I tend to spend a lot of time with my furry clients, and I adapt my schedule to their routine, walks playtime bellyrubs and more!

“My wife and I are super glad we found Cheryl. Meeting Cheryl gave us immediate confidence that our dog, Dezi, was in great hands. She hosted Dezi for the day and did an excellent job; he felt right at home in her beautiful home, with a fenced yard (plenty of space to play). Cheryl's attention and genuine care made the difference, and we plan to rebook with her in the future.”

“Colleen is caring for my 16 week yorkie puppy Tibbers. She is everything her bio and reviews have already said and more. A very experienced dog handler that puts you at total ease with her approach, feedback and overall LOVE of animals. Our family and puppy are lucky to have found her as it truly makes you feel like you're giving your dog a vacation instead of boarding. She has a property that dogs dream about, trained dogs of her own that teach as well as play and with her new/repeat customers your dog will be exposed to socialization but with very careful supervision. Would highly recommend and will continue to both board and do daycare with Colleen.”

She has taken care of my labs and my son's skittish rescue many times. Years ago she even took over the care of my very high maintenance Bichon when I was on bedrest for several months and unable to care for the dog. Lucketts dog parents share their Rover experiences
So happy to have found Colleen to watch over Freya. She was very accommodating and patient in answering my questions when I first talked to her. And when I dropped off Freya, I sensed Colleen's home as a safe haven for dogs when owners are away. She also sent me videos of Freya during her visit. Overall, I was happy with the service and will definitely have her watch over Freya again!
