About: I have house-sat and cared for both dogs and cats, as well growing up and having animals living with me almost my whole life (both my own and roomate’s pets). I have had to administer medicine to both dogs and cats in the past while taking care of them, and am comfortable with doing so. Drop-In Visits: Weekdays, I can typically provide these in the very early morning (630am) and evening (after 5pm). Weekends I will usually have more flexibility. House Sitting: I typically work full time during the week (Monday-Friday), so I am gone 10-11 hours total (up to 45 minute commute each way, and then an 9 hour shift). When you request a booking, I will make sure to give you more specific details on what my schedule looks like during your dates if it varies from my normal availability. I will treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would treat my own! I know pets are like family, and I want you to know they are in good hands!
“Our first experience with Rover couldn't have been better and it's all thanks to Dezarae! We really appreciated the updates and pictures every time she checked on our turtle & elderly cat while we were on vacation. They both seem to warm up to Dezarae quickly and we'd highly recommend using her to pet/house sit! We'll definitely be asking her to come back whenever we leave town from now on!”

“When we got home we could tell that our cat, Peachy, and Barbara were a good match. Peachy was very glad to see us, but he was a happy cat. We loved the pictures Barbara sent us and the daily reports gave us peace of mind. We hope to be paired with Barbara again!”

“Laura and her family were great for our dog. They accommodated a last minute request over an holiday and kept us informed every visit with notes, pictures, and updates. We will definitely work with them again.”

About: I have taken care of and owned dogs my entire life, I grew up with 15 dogs on 3 acres. I have never not owned a dog with my senior pit coming up on 17 years with me. Currently home full time most days of the week, kids will be in school full time. I can work around your schedule & needs for pick-up, drop-off or drop ins. I live on 5 acres away from all main streets and a private drive for plenty of running space. I have converted my shed into a climate controlled dog house that has a fenced in area for the runners but if you prefer them to be inside I have plenty of space.
About: As a lifelong animal lover, I provide dedicated, compassionate care for dogs and cats at every stage of life. My home is currently shared with a cherished 15-year-old senior dog and two energetic cats, giving me hands-on, daily experience with both canine and feline needs. I deeply understand the specialized attention, patience, and medical pacing required for aging seniors, as well as the playfulness and boundaries needed for younger pets. Whether administering senior care or managing multi-pet dynamics, I treat every animal with the same high standard of safety, affection, and respect I give my own. I work an AM shift Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Available 10am-11pm Sunday, Thursday, and Friday. Available 6pm-10pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday I have 2 cats and a small dog, they can be put into rooms. I have an unfenced yard, and a park nearby. I have treats, food, water, doggie bags, toys, leashes, and a crate. I can play with your pets, feed them, walk them, pet them, clean up after them, etc.
“I definitely recommend! I was very skeptical at first because it was my first time booking a pet sitter but she was amazing. we met prior to the booking just to meet each other and talk a little! she followed instructions very well and I could tell my cats loved her company and were very comfortable. I loved all the photos she send and will book again!”

“I love Linda! My pack of 6 Boston Terriers love Linda! She is great with each of my dogs unique and quirky personalities. I love that Linda is punctual, patient, and focused on the training, my dogs love her sweet and gentle way of handling them. We definitely look forward to our weekly sessions.”

“Alyxandrea was wonderful!! We had a last minute trip planned, and she didn’t hesitate to accept our drop-in request. Our puppies loved her and we will most definitely request her again for future trips!”

“Haleigh did an amazing job doing a drop in visit at our house. I felt totally safe giving her the code so she could come in and take care of our pup. She brought her three kids and they were successfully able to get him to potty, give him water and she sent me photos of her kids playing with him. It was super cute to see them all playing together and we were so thankful to have her drop by the house on a busy day to take the dog out.”

“Londyn helped me out in a bind and was able to come care for my dog last min. She was punctual and immediately made me and my pup feel taken care of. It’s clear that she loves animals and treats them like her own!”

“Elsy was amazing! She alleviated our anxiety of leaving our pets and our recent rescue pup for the first time. She spent time with them and played and cared for them well. She sent the best pictures and videos. Absolutely will be using Elsy again. Thank you Elsy!”

“Brittany went above and beyond the call of duty! She walked and loved our dogs, gave the older one all the medication she needed for a sore leg, cleaned their water bowls and the "toilet" mess they'd made in the garage. She sent us videos and pictures everyday, and reassurances that our old girl was okay. We SO appreciate Brittany's wonderful way with our dogs, her communication with us, and her willingness to go beyond her mandate if she sees something that needs to be done. Thank-you Brittany!”
“Dave is amazing! He visited my bunnies and took care of them exceptionally! He was very communicative and helpful! Super recommended! Will definitely use his services again! Thank you so much Dave!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lowell
Our puppy is usually very nervous around anyone outside the family, but she quickly became comfortable and relaxed with Londyn. Knowing she was happy and at ease made being away from her so much easier and gave us real peace of mind. We wholeheartedly recommend Londyn to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and high-quality pet sitter. She is truly exceptional.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
