About: I have house-sat and cared for both dogs and cats, as well growing up and having animals living with me almost my whole life (both my own and roomate’s pets). I have had to administer medicine to both dogs and cats in the past while taking care of them, and am comfortable with doing so. Drop-In Visits: Weekdays, I can typically provide these in the very early morning (630am) and evening (after 5pm). Weekends I will usually have more flexibility. House Sitting: I typically work full time during the week (Monday-Friday), so I am gone 10-11 hours total (up to 45 minute commute each way, and then an 9 hour shift). When you request a booking, I will make sure to give you more specific details on what my schedule looks like during your dates if it varies from my normal availability. I will treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would treat my own! I know pets are like family, and I want you to know they are in good hands!

About: As a recently retired teacher, I bring a life time of patience, reliability and genuine care to all that I do including taking care of your pet. After years of nurturing and supporting students, I now dedicate my time to providing attentive, loving care to animals in my community. For most of my adult life, I have owned my own dogs and cats. Currently I have one small dog and an elderly cat. I have hands-on experience taking care of my own dog with diabetes. This included administering insulin, monitoring diet and being attentive to any changes in behavior that could indicate blood sugar problems. Because of my previous work schedule, I have been boarding a few dogs on a fairly regular basis during summer months and holidays. I truly enjoy the connection I feel to dogs when spending time with them. I love playing with them, whether tossing a ball, going for a walk, or simply getting to know their personality. Dogs have a wonderful way of bringing happiness and joy into every day life. Caring for dogs is rewarding to me because of the companionship and unconditional affection they naturally share. I always say "dogs know their people." Because I am recently retired, my daily schedule is flexible. I take my dog for walks in the morning and evening and have some built in play time everyday. I have fenced in back yard for your furry friends to play in. Your pets safety and well - being are top priorities. I understand creating a calm, caring and dependable environment where pets feel secure and loved. I am attentive to each pet's individual needs, routines and personalities. I will treat your pet with same care and tenderness I would want for my own. My goal is for you to feel confident and reassured knowing your beloved pet is safe and comfortable and receiving plenty of love and attention while you're away.
