“Layne was the very first sitter we booked through Rover, and she made the whole experience wonderful. Our initial meet-and-greet went great, and while we were away, she sent daily updates with photos of Dean clearly having a great time. When we picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and comfortable in her home. We’re so thankful for the care and attention she gave him, and we’d definitely book with her again!”

“Our dogs had such a great time with Jocelyn. We recieved pictures of them everyday we were gone and they looked so amazing. She kept us updated on them and how they were doing as one of our dogs was working on his socializing, she was so patient with him. We will definitely be coming back to her for any future needs and just some play dates. So thankful for her!!!”

“Meagen was great for our dog, Molly! She communicated very well. Took her on walks. Kept us updated throughout the stay. From past experiences with others, we were concerned as Molly has come back sick or skittish from others. This was not the case with Meagen. Molly was of course ready to come home, but we could tell she did very well”

“I am very happy with Laura!! I was so nervous to leave Percy with anyone outside of family, especially being that he has severe anxiety but Percy loved Laura and her family. I feel content that we found a permanent sitter for our fur baby. :)”

“Karrla takes great care of our shitzu mix, Hazel! I know she is happy and relaxed when she stays with Karrla. We look forward to booking with Karrla in the future!”

“Emily is wonderful! She has kept our girl 2x now while we traveled, and it has been the best knowing she is so well cared for while we are away. Highly recommended!”

“Elizabeth was so sweet with Murphy and took such great care of him! He got to go on runs, walks, and got to snuggle and play with her dogs. She was so patient and super responsive with tons of pictures. We definitely found our new sitter!♥️”

“Our golden stayed with Emily for a little over a week and had the best time! As soon as we pulled up to her house my golden ran to her door, which to me is a fantastic sign since our golden has a lot of anxiety. Emily sent many pictures and updates throughout our trip that I didn’t need to worry if she was having a good time. If we need to travel again we will definitely be rebooking!”

“My first time ever using Rover and the longest I’ve ever spent away from my pup; Christy & her family were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. 10/10 and definitely will be using her again. Baxter had the best time and her house is so warm and inviting!!!!”

“Marissa does a great job looking after our kittem Bug, he looked super relaxed and comfortable in all the photos she sent. I will use her whenever we need someone to look after our pets”

“Rachel was fantastic. My dog unfortunately didn’t get along with her cat and we didn't realize that until when I had to drop him off, but she was extremely accommodating of the situation and made sure Max was well taken care of.”

“Miranda and Joey were amazing. Our girl was so well taken care of and loved. They sent us pictures to update us and let us know how she was doing. We will definitely use them again!!”

“Chanel took wonderful care of Mila! She kept me updated throughout the entire stay with lots of photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Mila was well cared for, comfortable, and happy. I really appreciated her communication and the love and attention she gave my dog. I would absolutely book with Chanel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. Thank you so much!”

“Lark was very responsive, approachable and attentive. She was very insightful to my dog’s needs. Lark’s home was set up for a great afternoon of play, rest and adventure. She’ll be my first call next time I need a sitter! Thanks for everything”

Layne and her family were so great with my dog, Hachi! I was a little nervous to leave him since it was his first time staying with unfamiliar people but their friendliness and confidence made me feel immediately comfortable. Layne was very open to meeting Hachi’s needs and making accommodations to make sure he felt safe and at ease. She also sent me daily pictures and updates of how he was doing. Their 2 dogs were obviously super used to having new guest dogs around and accepted Hachi as another member! I would absolutely have them watch Hachi again!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
