About: At this point in my life, I have cared for almost any domestic, exotic or farm animal that one can run into! Time spent working with snakes and spiders in a reptile shop, working on farms with cattle, goats and chickens, and caring for everyones furry companions like cats, dogs and rodents in homes has left me feeling well prepared to handle whatever critters come our way. My remaining pet is Sharkbait, a 9 year old heeler mix, who has been the everywhere and everything dog with me for the last 8+ years. She has met all of the above animals in her time and is the ultimate friend to all. As a retired service animal, she is kind and intuitive while responding calmly to reactive animals she meets. This makes her the perfect travel companion and buddy for all your babies and she will always be with me on sitting and walking jobs as she and I like to stay very active, walking anywhere from 2-6 miles daily together. Lets chat about your animals specific needs and background! Being active is a huge part of my day and I love making sure your animals are included in that! Walks to the park and jogs around the block are my favorite way to keep your pets focus while expending that pent up energy. For homebody pets I love a good puzzle or snuffle toy to keep their minds working in their safe space. Meet and greets together as a family are priority so that when you're out of town or at work, your pet(s) can trust Sharkbait and I are there to support them. Any candid tips and tricks around behaviors or routines are welcomed.

About: All my life I’ve been obsessed with dogs 🐶 When I was finishing up nursing school, I needed to find some part time work to help make ends meet. I found a job as a kennel technician at a commercial dog boarding facility - where I mostly cleaned up to 36 dogs daily messes and gave them social enrichment. I quickly jumped up the short ladder of management and took over as CEO right around my first year mark of employment. I have cared for hundreds, possibly a thousand plus dogs in the last half of my entire lifetime. I’ve worked hard to help dogs and owners alike understand eachother better - communication often needs no words. I specialize in “project pups”, socialization and reactivity. I’ve taken care of newborn puppies to teenage obedience school dropouts - through the medically fragile & elderly pooches on palliative care & absolutely everything in between. I’ve worked in a rescue as an adoption coordinator and had the extreme pleasure of helping people and pooches find their forever spaces together. Along with rescuing over a dozen dogs of my own over the years & nursing several back to health from horrific conditions. Dogs are my passion - simple as that. Nothing makes me happier than helping a dog & owner relationship thrive. I am a stay at home mom, my boys are 2 & 3 years old. They’ve been raised around dogs & already have learned a healthy respect for their space. I am hyper vigilant & always err on the extreme side of caution for everyone’s safety - especially when it comes to those tricky resources. Other than weekly appointments on Mondays - we have a very flexible and open schedule. Our yard is fully fenced with 6 foot - reinforced wood fencing. Gates are double locked to keep toddlers from opening them - dogs too. I have a 10 year old spayed female border collie that I picked from her litter at 3 weeks old. She’s my right hand gal and socially bulletproof when it comes to hanging out with her furry friends. I often used her as the “Ice Breaker” dog when I ran the boarding facility - meaning she did all the temperament testing for any newly boarded dogs we were socially unsure about. We have multiple baby gates, and crate option for separation of space. A dog door built into our back door leading into our fully fenced, toddlerized but maintained, grassy residential yard on a quarter acre. We live in a very quiet tiny town on an even quieter little street, perfect for safely regulated walks and training opportunities.

About: Lifelong dog owner with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including training multiple puppies. Also experienced with cats and small animals. Reliable, attentive, and dedicated to keeping pets safe, happy, and comfortable. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine, as I care for my own dog. Incorporating additional pet care feels very natural to me. I plan my schedule around the needs of the animals I’m responsible for to ensure they receive consistent care and attention. After May 15th, I will have full availability and will be able to provide care any day of the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight if needed. I provide attentive, personalized care based on each dog’s individual needs and energy level. Whether a dog enjoys relaxing and cuddling on the couch or prefers active play like fetch or walks, I’m happy to match their routine and keep them comfortable and engaged. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water at all times, and get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. I also pay close attention to any specific instructions from the owner, including medications, behavioral preferences, or routines, to ensure consistency and a stress free experience for the pet.

About: I am one of those humans who prefer animals over other humans. I recently lost my dog child, Ace, after rescuing him 9 years ago. It has since occurred to me that it would really help me heal if I got to start loving and caring for other people's dog children. I have been caring for animals since I was a kiddo, farm animals too. I grew up in Wisconsin, and there was never a shortage of animals on our farmland. On a day-to-day basis, I am a grad student at Portland State working towards my Masters in Social Work. I have been working for 22 years as a nurse and suddenly find myself wanting to change gears.

About: Hi, my name is Isabella. I'm 19 years old and have had the pleasure of caring for and meeting many fascinating animals, including reptiles, felines, canines, and more. I am an animal enthusiast studying biology and zoology in high school. I have grown up with animals, and to this day, I have had rats, cats, dogs, and birds. I currently don’t work at the moment, which means more time to see your adorable animals! But I am planning to return to college in early September. -My availability is 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Since I am home most of my day, I spend a lot of time with my animals. Our routine starts as follows: wet food for herbiee in the morning and for Tutsi FreshPet I refill their water with the coldest and clean the dish every morning. I take Tutsi out and come back to pet Herbert. Usually we just relax and cuddle until it’s time to pick up my boyfriend from work.

One of the dogs had ear problems and they addressed that and the other needed antibiotics and they contacted the veterinarian and had the prescription refilled. About: I have taken care of animals since I was a young child. I love all kinds of animals. I love to be able to be a part of them being happy and healthy and safe. I’m currently working Monday through Friday from 8;00 am to 5:00 pm. If your home is close enough to my work, I would love to take my lunch and make sure your pet is doing great. The type of care that I provide is truly dependent on your pet and the type of care that they need. I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable and loved. I’m very physically active so if your dog loves to walk, then we will walk and play as much as the like. if you have an adorable couch potato then we will couch potato and cuddle up on the couch.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, growing up with both cats and dogs of all personalities, from easygoing labs to high energy, sometimes anxious heelers. That taught me early on how to read animal behavior, stay patient, and build trust with pets at their own pace! In college, I started out studying pre vet before following my passion into wildlife biology, and I’ll be starting grad school this fall studying ecology and evolution with a focus on wildlife. I also spent a summer working with a nonprofit dog rescue in Houston, Texas, helping save dogs from the streets and from kill shelters. It was hands on and sometimes challenging, but really rewarding. I helped with medications, cared for dogs with all kinds of temperaments, and made sure each one felt safe and cared for. I truly believe every animal is special and deserves patience, understanding, and a little extra love. I’ve always found it easy to connect with animals, and I love seeing even shy or anxious pets start to relax and show their personality. Right now I’m saving up for grad school, and honestly I can’t think of a better way to spend my time than being around animals. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like my own! I currently have Wednesday's and Thursday's off. I am free all day to take your pups on a mid day walk or keep them company while you are out of town! The rest of my week I work from 9:00-6:00 so my availability is more limited. I live on acreage in the Veneta area. Our property is mostly fenced and includes an orchard, a creek, and plenty of space for play and adventure! I have one pup of my own who absolutely loves other dogs. He’s a medium-sized herding dog who would be thrilled to show a new friend around the property. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always strive to be a respectful and gracious guest. I’m a very tidy, thoughtful person and take great care to leave your home exactly as you left it, if not better! I believe it’s incredibly valuable for animals to remain in an environment where they feel safe and comfortable. I have a lot of experience with anxious animals and believe that a calm, warm demeanor, along with a consistent routine, is key to making sure your pet feels happy, secure, and well cared for.
