About: With 10+ years of experience caring for my own dog as well as cats of all temperaments, I am eager to offer quality, safe, and attentive care to pets in my area. I know how stressful it can be to have to find quality animal care last minute, but I absolutely love animals and hope to be able to take some stress off of both owners and their pets. I love working with big dogs and high energy breeds, but am open to caring for all kinds of animals! My full-time role is as a Park Ranger, so I have an extremely flexible schedule ranging throughout the day. I typically know my schedule for the month by the 15th of the previous month and am willing to work around everyone’s schedules to find the sweet spot of what works best for us. ✨🐴 Alongside experience with dogs and cats, I have experience caring for horses and pack mules! I have veterinary science experience in Equine Hoof & Limb from college, as well as several years of experience caring for therapeutic riding horses, National Park Service pack mules and horses, and show horses. For all animals, but especially for cats, I will regularly make sure I am not bringing anything in that could spread communicable diseases or endanger the animal in any way. With all animals but specific with dogs, they will not be left unattended to roam even in fenced areas that they are used to - I know how beloved animals are to our families, and I will always have an eye on your pet while they are in my care! Additionally, I will not bring in any other animals or guests that are not agreed upon with the owner beforehand - I believe that if you hire someone to watch, walk, or care for your pet, you deserve 100% clarity over who they are, what their experience is, and who/what is entering your space.
About: I was raised alongside litters of puppies and my life has revolved around animals ever since. My family consistently had 8-10 dogs in our home, ranging from big dogs like labs or American bulldogs to smaller dogs like French bulldogs or terrier mixes. Since I was in elementary school, I was tasked with feeding, grooming, walking and playing with all of our dogs. As an adult, I've helped my parents out in watching their many dogs (my dad has 12!) when they are out of town and pet-sitting for friends and family. I adopted my own two cats, who I've had since they were kittens, and love them with almost my whole heart - I have two ferrets that take up some space in my heart too. Ferrets are notoriously difficult pets to take care of, so if I can handle them and all their energy & mischief, I think I'm prepared to take care of just about any creature. I have been conscientious, responsible and caring for my own pets and I promise I'll treat yours the same way :) I work 9-5 on a hybrid schedule but, as a manager, I have flexibility in terms of remote work — I can always change my schedule around to accommodate yours! I need advanced notice for overnight bookings, as I commute into the city twice a week. I can always switch my-in office days with enough of a head's up, so please reach out if my current calendar availability doesn't align with yours! We may be able to work something out. Unfortunately, I know the feeling of coming home from a trip and realizing that some little things were unattended to by a friend I'd trusted with my pets: the water fountain was half full, the litter box hadn't been scooped in a few days, their 24/7 bird streaming YouTube video wasn't on (lol). Of course my pets were still fed, but it didn't feel like they were cared for the same way I would have. I promise that won't happen if I am entrusted with your pet. I am very good at noticing and handling those little details, even if you forgot to mention them, because that's what I would want. That said, I am great at following pet-care instructions, and I'll surely feed, walk, play with (and love) your furry friend according to the schedule you set out.

Bathing, feeding, nail trimming, grooming, etc. I have cared for many animals throughout my life: dogs, cats, a snake, hamsters, chinchillas, fish, and even a rescue squirrel. About: I've had pets since I was 3 yrs old starting with cats. I've had ferrets, birds, hamsters and 3 dogs. 1 dog was a champion show dog the two others were terriers. I had my own pet care services company called "Pets At Home" before I had my kids over 30 years ago. Took great care of cats and dogs. I did housebreak training as well for some clients with their puppies. I am a real estate agent without a set office space, who works from home all week. Jessica is a cat whisperer!!! She took amazing care of my two cats while I was traveling. One of my kitties is extremely shy and usually never comes out from hiding for anyone…but Jessica got her out of her hiding spot and playing! My other cat has a lot of energy and Jessica played with him a lot, too! It was so nice knowing that my cats were in good hands while I was away. Jessica is extremely responsible, reliable, and dependent. I feel like she took care of my cats as if they were her own.

This was my first time using Marley to care for my kitties. From the meet and greet to the drop in visits she was really great! My kitties are my babies and I felt 100% comfortable knowing she was going to take great care of them for me. Melissa is a wonderful pet sitter! She did drops ins for my two cats. She washed dirty bowls that my cats used after eating. I thought that was so thoughtful of her to do this. She also took pictures of my pets , the pet food she fed them, as well as the cat pen area that she cleaned, everyday. In addition, she came over the day it was supposed to snow, on very short notice, for additional drop in visits. I asked her if she could do drops ins the day before, for this day. And even though it was short notice for this additional booking, she agreed to do the drop ins. I was relieved to not have to travel back home, an hour away, in inclement weather, the next day. I am so grateful for her hard work and for excepting my last minute booking, without much prior notice. Melissa is a reliable , flexible and kind pet sitter! I highly recommend her!
