“John and Kathy are the best. They take extra loving care of my Chrissy. They take several pics during each visit. My car is 18 years old and John and Kathy are great with her. I highly recommend them.”

“Jessica is extremely reliable. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and is a true extension with training our 8 month old Havanese, Pebbles. The consistency adds to Pebbles success. The lond voice and affection Jessica gives to Pebbles is appreciated and genuine. We highly recommend Jessica!!”

“Anahi is a wonderful person and sitter! She is friendly, kind, and a great communicator. I was very nervous as it was my first time using the site to find a sitter, but I made the right choice booking Anahi. I was not expecting my shy cat to interact with her right away, but from the first visit, she was sharing pictures of them playing together, and him seeking her out for affection as she walked in on the second visit. I do believe animals are a great judge of character and I will be booking her for my next trip. Highly recommend.”

About: With 10+ years of experience caring for my own dog as well as cats of all temperaments, I am eager to offer quality, safe, and attentive care to pets in my area. I know how stressful it can be to have to find quality animal care last minute, but I absolutely love animals and hope to be able to take some stress off of both owners and their pets. I love working with big dogs and high energy breeds, but am open to caring for all kinds of animals! My full-time role is as a Park Ranger, so I have an extremely flexible schedule ranging throughout the day. I typically know my schedule for the month by the 15th of the previous month and am willing to work around everyone’s schedules to find the sweet spot of what works best for us. ✨🐴 Alongside experience with dogs and cats, I have experience caring for horses and pack mules! I have veterinary science experience in Equine Hoof & Limb from college, as well as several years of experience caring for therapeutic riding horses, National Park Service pack mules and horses, and show horses. I am a full-time park ranger with a very flexible schedule. I’m not trapped in a strict office schedule and have my month planned out by the 15th of the month prior, so I can absolutely plan care with a shorter or longer term notice. Due to my prior experience caring for pets and with veterinary science education, I am a very careful caregiver. For all animals, but especially for cats, I will regularly make sure I am not bringing anything in that could spread communicable diseases or endanger the animal in any way. With all animals but specific with dogs, they will not be left unattended to roam even in fenced areas that they are used to - I know how beloved animals are to our families, and I will always have an eye on your pet while they are in my care! Additionally, I will not bring in any other animals or guests that are not agreed upon with the owner beforehand - I believe that if you hire someone to watch, walk, or care for your pet, you deserve 100% clarity over who they are, what their experience is, and who/what is entering your space.
About: Hi! I’m Carol and I’ve been taking care of animals my entire life. My love for animals led me to earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Medicine and I am a licensed veterinary nurse (CVTg). I worked 13 years in general practice, surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine, cardiology and emergency. From puppies to seniors, nervous/anxious or special needs - I welcome all dogs. While we all want our pups to be healthy forever, my background offers the unique ability to provide expert elevated care and guidance if needed. With me, you’re not just getting a dog walker, you’re getting a lifetime of professional training, knowledge and elite skill set. My schedule is flexible for weekdays and weekends and I can often accommodate same day requests. Trained in administering oral, injectable, topical medications, I can coordinate schedules should your pet need medication at a specific time(s). Just let me know what’s needed and we can make it happen! Having worked wildlife, zoo animal, marine animal, farm animal, equine and small animal medicine - I’ve seen all sides of animal behavior. What matters most, to not only the animal but to the owner as well, is always trust. I will always take my time to understand your pets personality and routine. Consistency and patience is key. I’m not their trainer or behaviorist (though I do have training in both) - I’m there to be a friend and caregiver. That doesn’t mean I can’t handle the anxious or unruly furry friends - I love a skeptic and the advanced behavioral training and handling I have under my belt makes me particularly suited for the spicier personalities.
“Great experience. Our dogs are not the easiest to handle and max did an amazing job. This was one of the longest trips we have been on away from our pups, and they were in great hands. Would book again!”

“Wendy verified all details prior to arriving. She was timely & attentive to my dog Sherlock. This was the first visit since his meet & greet. Wendy took good care of my dog & I could see he loved his patting time with her. She sent pictures like I requested. Thank you so much!!!”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the genuine love and care I have for both people and animals. I'm a 19 year old college student studying nursing because I’ve always had a deep passion for taking care of others and making a difference. I also work part-time as a waitress at a senior facility, which has taught me patience, empathy, and how important it is to be present and attentive skills I bring into pet care as well. In my free time, I’m either relaxing with a good movie or book, or I’m out walking at the beach or baking something fun. I truly love all animals and hope to one day give back and help improve their lives in a bigger way. For now, I’d be so happy just to care for yours like they were my own —spoiled, loved, and treated like the little baby they are! Pet care fits into my routine pretty naturally! Since I’m a part-time worker and a college student, my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m especially available Wednesday through Friday, and I can also do weekday visits or walks after 4 PM. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at a client’s home, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, needs, and personality so I can make them feel as relaxed and happy as possible. I always follow any instructions carefully, from feeding schedules and walk times to any special medications or habits they have. In a client’s home, I make sure to respect their space, keep things clean, and create a calm, familiar environment for their pet. I do my best to keep things consistent so your pet feels safe and secure while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, so I’m always open to updates, check-ins, and communication to give you peace of mind. I care for every pet like they’re my own — with patience, love, and lots of attention
“Kristin was so kind and helped us out last minute with a walk for our senior dog while we were out at a concert! Kristin was super communicative and came just when she said she would. Thank you so much, Kristin! Would definitely ask her again.”

“Carly was a blessing to have while we were away. We have two senior kitties who both require medication and she was able to administer it all. Super communicative and personable. Highly recommend and will use again.”

About: Dogs have always been part of my family, and I love building trust with each one I meet. I’m comfortable caring for pups of any age or temperament and make sure they get the perfect mix of exercise, attention, and affection. I share my home with four cats, so I’m experienced with managing different personalities. I’m reliable, observant, and always send updates so you can feel at ease. I work from home full-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets throughout the day. I can easily schedule walks, visits, and feedings around my calls and make sure your pets get the attention and companionship they deserve. I’ve always lived with animals — all rescues! I currently share my home with four cats, including one who’s deaf, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets with different needs and personalities. I provide a calm, safe environment and treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel secure and loved while you’re away.
“Five Star Service! Hailey was on time, attentive and so loving. I have three cats, requiring multiple drop-ins per day. I had updates after each visit, which provided peace of mind. My little fur babies were in the best hands while we were away. Will definitely book her again for our next trip!”

About: I grew up with dogs. A dog, sometimes two or three, was always in our house and a part of my family. I’ve been around dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds, understanding each one is unique and needs certain care. I have helped train a chocolate lab (a very energetic boy named Brody) from a puppy. I understand dogs are a part of your family and will provide that love and care towards them. I care for my two cats, Avy and Moose along with my partner. Since we share responsibilities of our cats and my 9-5 job is remote I am able to schedule sits and walks regularly. My girlfriend and I currently have two cats who are a part of our everyday lives. They like to wake us up and sun bath by the windows. We love them
About: I’ve had animals my whole life, learning to care for them when I was around 8 years old. Bathing, feeding, nail trimming, grooming, etc. I have cared for many animals throughout my life: dogs, cats, a snake, hamsters, chinchillas, fish, and even a rescue squirrel. We also have a horse who lives at a barn nearby. All animals deserve love, attention, and care. I am also available to provide additional services, such as simple household chores. More than happy to answer any questions you may have! I currently work a full time flexible schedule, mostly remote. I can work with your schedule if necessary to make sure your pet gets what they need. I can do as you please when it comes to safety. Leashed walks, or fenced in play. Crate or room separation. Whatever is your pets normal, I can abide by.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wanamassa
Emily was excellent! She did 2 drop by visits for my cat, Jimmy, while I was on a work trip. She sent me lots of pictures and videos and would update me on how much food he ate from the day prior. She was always a few minutes early and was even considerate enough to offer to bring in a package I had delivered. Thank you so much Emily! Jimbo and the rest of the crew will be seeing you soon!

This is my second time booking with Anahi, and it’s been another great experience. She is highly communicative, very loving and attentive to my cat, and from the pics I get, he is clearly in love with her. I had concerns about being away during the winter storm, and both Anahi’s and Purr’s safety with roads iced over. We worked it out, and all was well. Thank you so much, Anahi! We appreciate you!

This was my first time using Marley to care for my kitties. From the meet and greet to the drop in visits she was really great! My kitties are my babies and I felt 100% comfortable knowing she was going to take great care of them for me. I will definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone who wants top notch care for their fur babies!!

Melissa is a wonderful pet sitter! She did drops ins for my two cats. She washed dirty bowls that my cats used after eating. I thought that was so thoughtful of her to do this. She also took pictures of my pets , the pet food she fed them, as well as the cat pen area that she cleaned, everyday. In addition, she came over the day it was supposed to snow, on very short notice, for additional drop in visits. I asked her if she could do drops ins the day before, for this day. And even though it was short notice for this additional booking, she agreed to do the drop ins. I was relieved to not have to travel back home, an hour away, in inclement weather, the next day. I am so grateful for her hard work and for excepting my last minute booking, without much prior notice. Melissa is a reliable , flexible and kind pet sitter! I highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
