About: Hi! Thank you for thinking about boarding with us. For 17 years I have taken care of a sensitive, high maintenance Italian Greyhound named Primo. He was my best buddy. We moved together a bunch of times from the city to his final home here in Ocean NJ. He was super sensitive to sound and people. He had a strict diet and didn't get along with all dogs. This didn't stop us from socializing him with other Italian greyhounds and small dogs with NYC Meetups and playdates. When we moved into our house we would try to make it down to dog beach in Asbury. For 10 years, Laura helped care for her parents dog, Gomez (a shepherd mix), when they were away. It was an outside dog and was a bundle of energy, always running circles and plopping down at your feet for pets and excited for walks on the Henry Hudson Bike Trail. Now that Primo and Gomez have passed on, we have found that we still have love to give to furry friends. We'd love to host your best friend and take care of them the way we have cared for our family pets. Laura and I both work full time from home, with Laura only commuting to the office 3-4 times a month. I can walk your dog twice a day or just let them our into the yard. If they prefer to be outside, that is also great. We've lived here for a couple of years and installed a fence for our child, Rami and the late-Primo. The house has exterior security cameras, and a fenced in yard that can be locked. We can offer 2 walks a day in addition to outside yard time. We'll provide plenty of attention and pets as well! Rami is 4 years old and does well with dogs. Because of his age we can only board non-aggressive, small and medium-sized dogs.

All animals in my care receive “I love you’s” when I leave, and are talked to throughout the day. I truly treat them like they’re mine. Regina was wonderful while we were away! She was so kind, communicative and patient with our cats, especially when one of them was hiding and the other was having some stomach issues. She kept us updated throughout the whole weekend and was so sweet and understanding about everything. Jessica is a cat whisperer!!! She took amazing care of my two cats while I was traveling. One of my kitties is extremely shy and usually never comes out from hiding for anyone…but Jessica got her out of her hiding spot and playing! My other cat has a lot of energy and Jessica played with him a lot, too! It was so nice knowing that my cats were in good hands while I was away. Jessica is extremely responsible, reliable, and dependent. I feel like she took care of my cats as if they were her own.

This was my first time using Marley to care for my kitties. From the meet and greet to the drop in visits she was really great! My kitties are my babies and I felt 100% comfortable knowing she was going to take great care of them for me. Melissa is a wonderful pet sitter! She did drops ins for my two cats. She washed dirty bowls that my cats used after eating. I thought that was so thoughtful of her to do this. She also took pictures of my pets , the pet food she fed them, as well as the cat pen area that she cleaned, everyday. In addition, she came over the day it was supposed to snow, on very short notice, for additional drop in visits. I asked her if she could do drops ins the day before, for this day. And even though it was short notice for this additional booking, she agreed to do the drop ins. I was relieved to not have to travel back home, an hour away, in inclement weather, the next day. I am so grateful for her hard work and for excepting my last minute booking, without much prior notice. Melissa is a reliable , flexible and kind pet sitter! I highly recommend her!

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
