“Keith was great. He really understood the needs of our large senior dogs. The dogs connected with him and there were no issues. He is also very personable, relaxed and easy to relate with.”

“John and Kathy were so great with our cat, Coco. Plenty of communication and pictures while we were away, I would definitely recommend them for future bookings!”

“Anahi is a wonderful person and sitter! She is friendly, kind, and a great communicator. I was very nervous as it was my first time using the site to find a sitter, but I made the right choice booking Anahi. I was not expecting my shy cat to interact with her right away, but from the first visit, she was sharing pictures of them playing together, and him seeking her out for affection as she walked in on the second visit. I do believe animals are a great judge of character and I will be booking her for my next trip. Highly recommend.”

“Jessica is extremely reliable. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and is a true extension with training our 8 month old Havanese, Pebbles. The consistency adds to Pebbles success. The lond voice and affection Jessica gives to Pebbles is appreciated and genuine. We highly recommend Jessica!!”

“Carly was a blessing to have while we were away. We have two senior kitties who both require medication and she was able to administer it all. Super communicative and personable. Highly recommend and will use again.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for cats and dogs. I currently have full availability from Friday through Sunday, allowing me to dedicate quality time to your pets and ensure they receive the care and attention they deserve. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work Monday through Thursday as an Operations and Program Assistant, which allows me to dedicate my full attention to pet care on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with open availability. I am also available for morning, evening, and overnight care depending on your pet's needs. Having grown up around cats, dogs, reptiles, and horses, caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life. I enjoy spending time with animals and am committed to providing reliable, attentive care while keeping pets comfortable and maintaining their normal routines. When caring for pets, I focus on maintaining their normal routine and making them feel comfortable and safe. Having cared for my own three cats, I understand the importance of providing fresh food and water, a clean environment, playtime, and plenty of attention. In a client's home, I will follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, litter box or waste cleanup, and any special routines your pet is used to. I also enjoy spending quality time with pets through play, companionship, and enrichment activities to help them feel relaxed while their owners are away. My goal is to treat every pet with the same care, patience, and attention that I would give my own.
“So amazing! Very accommodating and attentive and willing to keep in touch with you. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs, knowing they would be well taken care of.”

“Erin has puppy fever! She was amazing with my puppy who instantly embraced her. My pup was also super calm with her. Erin is responsible, punctual, and respectful. Highly recommended!”
About: I grew up with dogs. A dog, sometimes two or three, was always in our house and a part of my family. I’ve been around dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds, understanding each one is unique and needs certain care. I have helped train a chocolate lab (a very energetic boy named Brody) from a puppy. I understand dogs are a part of your family and will provide that love and care towards them. I care for my two cats, Avy and Moose along with my partner. Since we share responsibilities of our cats and my 9-5 job is remote I am able to schedule sits and walks regularly. My girlfriend and I currently have two cats who are a part of our everyday lives. They like to wake us up and sun bath by the windows. We love them

“Cristy was very thorough in her notes and sent lots of photos! Zachary can be shy so the fact he enjoyed spending time with her says it all. We both highly approve and will rebook with Cristy next time I’m away!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Loch Arbour
Emily is the absolute best! We continue to rebook her to take care of our 2 dogs. By now she has built a beautiful relationship with our boys. She goes above and beyond to make sure they eat and that they are in good spirits when we have to go away. Our boys are very attached to us and they get so sad when we have to leave them. Emily is so caring and attentive with them. This last time when we returned from our trip the boys looked so happy and healthy. That was all thanks to the wonderful care and attention Emily gives them. I love getting the updates from her, each update comes in on time with pictures and videos. It eases my mind and heart that my babies are being cared for by such a wonderful person. She’s a star! We are so lucky to have found her. ✨🤩✨

This is my second time booking with Anahi, and it’s been another great experience. She is highly communicative, very loving and attentive to my cat, and from the pics I get, he is clearly in love with her. I had concerns about being away during the winter storm, and both Anahi’s and Purr’s safety with roads iced over. We worked it out, and all was well. Thank you so much, Anahi! We appreciate you!

This was my first time using Marley to care for my kitties. From the meet and greet to the drop in visits she was really great! My kitties are my babies and I felt 100% comfortable knowing she was going to take great care of them for me. I will definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone who wants top notch care for their fur babies!!

Melissa is a wonderful pet sitter! She did drops ins for my two cats. She washed dirty bowls that my cats used after eating. I thought that was so thoughtful of her to do this. She also took pictures of my pets , the pet food she fed them, as well as the cat pen area that she cleaned, everyday. In addition, she came over the day it was supposed to snow, on very short notice, for additional drop in visits. I asked her if she could do drops ins the day before, for this day. And even though it was short notice for this additional booking, she agreed to do the drop ins. I was relieved to not have to travel back home, an hour away, in inclement weather, the next day. I am so grateful for her hard work and for excepting my last minute booking, without much prior notice. Melissa is a reliable , flexible and kind pet sitter! I highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
