My love for animals led me to earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Medicine and I am a licensed veterinary nurse (CVTg). Just let me know what’s needed and we can make it happen! Having worked wildlife, zoo animal, marine animal, farm animal, equine and small animal medicine - I’ve seen all sides of animal behavior. What matters most, to not only the animal but to the owner as well, is always trust. I will always take my time to understand your pets personality and routine. Consistency and patience is key. I’m not their trainer or behaviorist (though I do have training in both) - I’m there to be a friend and caregiver. That doesn’t mean I can’t handle the anxious or unruly furry friends - I love a skeptic and the advanced behavioral training and handling I have under my belt makes me particularly suited for the spicier personalities.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats and other furry friends for about 15 years. Helping neighbors, friends and family feed, walk and play with their pets while they’re away. I get done work around 3pm and am available for evening walks. I’m also available for stay over visits if the pup can go from 8:30am-3pm between walks Monday-Friday. This was my first time using Marley to care for my kitties. From the meet and greet to the drop in visits she was really great! Melissa is a wonderful pet sitter! She did drops ins for my two cats. She washed dirty bowls that my cats used after eating. I thought that was so thoughtful of her to do this. She also took pictures of my pets , the pet food she fed them, as well as the cat pen area that she cleaned, everyday. In addition, she came over the day it was supposed to snow, on very short notice, for additional drop in visits. I asked her if she could do drops ins the day before, for this day. And even though it was short notice for this additional booking, she agreed to do the drop ins. I was relieved to not have to travel back home, an hour away, in inclement weather, the next day. I am so grateful for her hard work and for excepting my last minute booking, without much prior notice. Melissa is a reliable , flexible and kind pet sitter! I highly recommend her!
