“Christopher is a great dog walker. He is very considerate and always gives us a heads up before coming in the house to get our dog (in case we’re there). He took our dog Aggie on really nice long walks.”

“Corinne is awesome! From the first meet and greet, she was eager to learn how to care for both of my labs, even down to how their harnesses fit. She was flexible with a schedule change at the last minute and provided excellent company for my dogs on a walk while I was out of town. Her knowledge, care and attention to detail is unmatched. I look forward to continue booking with Corinne!”

“Lieren was amazing with my fur babies and really went above and beyond! I had never used rover and was nervous about leaving my pets with someone they didn’t know, but when I came home they were very happy and tired out from all the play time they got :) I received photo updates from every visit she had with them which reassured me of how comfortable and happy my pets were with her. Will definitely be rebooking with Lieren!”

“Kira has been such a wonderful friend to Moose! She’s prompt, has great communication, and Moose looks happy and relaxed in all the photos she sends me during their walks. We’re so grateful for her! And looking forward to many more walkies in the future ☺️”

“Alexis has been so great helping my dog readjust this week after I was away (triggering her separation anxiety). She understands the needs of an anxious dog which is crucial. She was able to step in and give some extra help when we needed it.”

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs, two dogs and 4 cats over my lifetime. Both outdoor indoor pets and I am very active with them. Pets need love and support from us as much as we need it from them. I spent three years volunteering at the Oregon zoo working with animals. I am flexible and creative, easily adapting to pet's needs. I am also patient and calm with them. I have loved animals since I was a kid. I refused to hit a piñata at a party because it was animal shaped. I will love your pets as if they are my own. I am always happiest when I am around pets. I work from home on a salaried basis, so my schedule is flexible. Especially from early morning until 3pm. I can do quick drop ins and/or long stays if they need a little interaction. I pay attention to location of plants, making sure they are out of reach and not a hazard to pets. I make sure all toys left out are safe, not too small to chock on. Making sure toys don't have anything to tangle up with. I'll watch to make sure pets don't eat too fast and get sick.

“Our dog doesn't have a lot of experience with sitters, and Allison knew just how to patiently interact with her as she warmed up to her new friend. We're also going through a house move, so our pup and cats are going through lots of change. It feels good to know that Allison brings the experience we need as an animal lover.”

About: I've had dogs of my own for my whole life so they have always been a big part of who I am. I currently have two dogs of my own, but have plenty of love left to share with your dogs. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve spent two years and over 150 hours volunteering at a dog and cat rescue. I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments by walking, feeding, bathing, training, and administering medications. In addition to dogs, I’ve previously been a pet parent to horses, cats, and bunnies. I currently volunteer at an equine rescue. I used rover as a sitter very briefly in 2017 when I lived in Florida, so I have some old reviews from my previous time on Rover. I am re-establishing my profile and am excited to get to know some wonderful pups and pup parents in Portland. As a pet parent, I know how stressful it is to leave your treasured family member in someone else’s care. That’s why I make sure to text my Rover families plenty of pictures and updates. I want you to feel confident that your pet is safe and happy so you can enjoy your time away with less stress. I’m also happy to support any training goals you are currently working on. I work a full time job in healthcare quality assurance, but have flexible work hours and a hybrid schedule. I’ll be able to accommodate recurring weekly walks or drop-ins as well as one-time bookings. I’m excited to offer dog walking and drop-in visits. During walks I will ensure your dog remains leashed with the collar and leash set up of your choice. If you’re working on loose leash walking, I can support that training on my walks with your pups. I’ll ensure your pet has food, water, medication (as needed), and will let you know immediately if I see any health or safety concerns.

About: We love dogs. So much that we spent years living on a farm in Appalachia with 7 large breed dogs. Brandon spent his life loving on golden retrievers (a total of 6 since birth) and as a family we have had both a huge Golden baby (9 yrs) and a teeny rescued beast with lots of special needs (9 years). Joy or Brandon (usually both) are home/available to care for your dog 24/7. Will will be able to provide around the clock love and play. We are tucked away in a beautiful old-growth tree grove with enormous front and back completely fenced yards. Our home has an attached upstairs studio apartment/dog lodging with comfy couches/a pullout bed and comfy chairs for private relaxing after a big day of play. One of us will sleep in the apartment/ hang out with your dog (trust they won't be lonely). If your dog enjoys other dogs/cats and wants friends, we have a small dog and 2 cats in the main house that can provide plenty of running fun around the yard. Our neighborhood is perfect for taking walks and we even have 2 parks within 2 blocks.

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I have hands-on experience caring for pets all of kinds. I have a dog and two cats of my own, volunteer at the local shelter, and have fostered many kittens over the years. Working from home allows me to provide flexible and attentive care to your pets. Whether it's walking, bathing, feeding, training, or administering medication, separation anxiety. Your furry friends will be in loving hands with me! I offer FREE meet and greets to see if I would be a good fit for you and your pet(s)! **I don't have any recent reviews as I took a break from Rover to finish school out of town. I would love to get back into pet sitting as I have more free time now! I work remotely so I can be with your pets at all times of the day. If I am house sitting for you, occasionally I will leave for 1-2 hrs to go to the gym or getting something to eat. If your pet has separation anxiety, please let me know and I will stay with them the whole day. My family has always been pet oriented. I grew up with cats and dogs and know how to approach your pet safely if they are feeling shy. I've been walking dogs for 7+ years so you can be rest assured I will always come well equipped with supplies such as poop bags, leash connector (if you have multiple pups) water and a bowl.

About: I have always had pets growing up and still love having them in my life today!! I currently do walks for WAG (have over 1800 walks) and have lots of experience!! I lost my dog last year (16 1/2 years) and currently have a cat who’s 18. I love my animals and will surely take good care of yours!!! I am retired after 37 years with the same company and feel that I have lots of extra time on my side and walking dogs (who I love) seems like a fantastic way to earn extra money and get some exercise! Currently when I am walking dogs, I make sure I am early, read all the notes and make sure your dog is safe and happy while in my care!!

About: I have pet sat since I was a younger kid, dog walked, and gave anxious animals comfort. I try to understand your animals worries always. For me, they come first and deserve only the best. Only going to school online, I have plenty of time for your animals! I am very flexible. I will take them on walks, bathe them if needed, and maybe spoil them a bit because they deserve it with that sweet face. I am very adaptable and good at directions. I enjoy making a safe and comfortable environment for each animal, not pushing them out of their comfort zone.

“Bobbi is totally a dog person. She’s really good at reading their behaviors and working with them. My Zoey dog loves her. Bobbi went above and beyond taking care of my dog while I was on vacation. I highly recommend Bobbi for you dog person.”

About: I treat every pet like they’re family whether it’s puppy playtime, senior snuggles, or anything in between! I’m reliable, loving, and great at picking up on what each pet needs to feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care is something I truly enjoy, so I make it a natural part of my routine. Whether it’s morning visits, afternoon walks, or evening checkins, I plan my days around making sure each pet gets the time, attention, and love they deserve. I’m flexible, dependable, and happy to adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s needs it never feels like a chore, just something I love being a part of. When I’m in your home, I care for your pets the way you would, with lots of love, routine, and comfort. I’m gentle, attentive, and always tuned in to what they need. If they stay with me, I make sure it’s cozy, quiet, and full of love.

“Athena’s watched my pets a few times—my cat Mouse and my dog Reese’s—and I really can’t say enough good things. Mouse is super skittish and usually hides from everyone, but with Athena, it was different. She didn’t push it, just kinda let Mouse do her thing, and somehow they bonded. I remember coming home and seeing Mouse asleep on her lap, which honestly never happens with anyone else. Reese’s is a handful, total goofball energy all the time, and she handled him like a pro. Long walks, playtime, keeping him on his feeding schedule—she did it all without me having to ask twice. She even cleaned up a little around his crate, which she didn’t have to do. That kind of care goes a long way. You can just tell animals like her, and she really cares back. It’s not just a job to her. If you’re thinking about hiring someone to look after your pets, I’d honestly recommend her in a heartbeat. She’s one of the only people I actually feel okay leaving them with.”
Linwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
Shianne is an exceptional dog walker! She's incredibly dependable, flexible, and has fantastic communication. She's also wonderfully sweet with our two corgis, and always makes sure they get a great workout. Our Lulu, who is obsessed with greeting people on her walks, especially loves her time with Shianne. She's my go-to person for our pups!
This is the second time I booked with Ariana. She is responsible, shows on time, and listens carefully to the given instructions. I also was informed on how the walks went with Pipa, as she does not warm up easy when she meets new people in general. I will book with her again!
