“Megan was an amazing caretaker of my cat. She was very attentive to detail and her visits provided the comfort my senior cat was longing for while I was away for six nights. I’m looking forward to provide her services whenever I’ll be out of town.”

“Grateful to Tabitha for taking care of Luna and Oliver while we were out of town! Luna was happy for the company and both cats were well taken care of during the visit.”

“Rubi was so great with Shadow! She took him for walks and had him playing with toys he didn't even like to play with when we were playing 😂. She made sure he was looked after and sent me plenty of updates and pictures!”

“Melissa watched my sweet Smoky, and again, Melissa was amazing! Smoky loves her and really enjoys her company. I don’t worry about Smoky nearly as much when I know Melissa will be over. Thank you again for taking such lovely care of Smoky! :)”

“It’s hard for me to trust people with my dog as he has a long list of requirements as an elderly Great Dane and James is absolutely phenomenal with him. He goes above and beyond to take care of Max like I do which is a high bar-I would recommend him to anyone in need of a sitter for any kind of situation. He’s a true professional which is hard to find in this business!”
“Lidia was our dog sitter for the Labor Day weekend and did a wonderful job! She visited our pups exactly as scheduled and made sure they were well cared for — playing with them, letting them out, refilling their water bowls, and feeding them. She gave them lots of love and attention, which made us feel at ease while we were away. One of the highlights was how well she kept us updated. Lidia sent us plenty of pictures from every visit and shared regular updates on how our dogs were doing. We felt completely confident that they were in great hands. We truly enjoyed having Lidia take care of our dogs, and they clearly enjoyed her too! We will definitely be booking her again.”

“Cheyenne was so sweet and patient with our rescue who can be very shy. She was an expert at making her not feel pressured or overwhelmed. Made me feel so much better having someone so patient and gentle with her.”

“I already know from this one drop in what an amazing sitter Stephanie is. She will definitely be the person I ask for first should I need a sitter again!! Thanks so much for taking care of Frances, and as a result taking care of me!!”

“Hannah is fantastic with our two high energy dogs. We used her four days in a row for one hour drop in and feedings. She is great with communication and our dogs love her!”

About: I have two indoor cats that I have raised for the last two years. However, when growing up I always had multiple dogs in my house that I helped care for, specifically Great Danes and Labradors. I know how to care for them and am looking forward to treating them as if they were my own. I work full time from 6:30am to 3:00pm, so I am unavailable during those times. I can walk or check in on your pets anytime during the weekend, evenings, or early mornings depending on customer needs. I provide services in others homes, not my own and I will respect any boundaries that are set. I am willing to meet parents and animals before a service so they get to know me and are comfortable with me around their pets.
“Susan did a great job taking care of our two dogs while we were away. We felt totally confident in her ability to care for our pets. I highly recommend Susan for your pet care needs!”

“Kaitlin did a phenomenal job with our furry ones. Great communication, did everything the way asked and even did little things to make sure we knew everything was being taken care of. From the check in photos to seeing how our doggos were treating her we knew she was taking wonderful care of them. 100% recommended and will definitely come back to her the next time we might need anything.”
About: I have owned dogs my whole life, and know how to take care of them. I also have experience with cats, I have helped my grandfather with a stray cat that chose him! I'm openly available, as of today. I like to volunteer, but that usually only takes about 4 or 5 hours. I will give your pet the time it needs. You make sure that they have plenty of fresh water, eat on time, and walk them every day when the sun is not too hot, eg in the morning or evening.

“Sam is the only person that we trust to watch our dogs and he does such an excellent job each time. We've been using Sam for years and plan to continue to use him in the future.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Linthicum Heights. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
