About: Growing up on a family farm, I have had the opportunity to care for many different kinds of animals (dogs, horses, cats, chickens, goats, pigs and cows). I have taken care of family and friends dogs for the last 20 years. I have raised 5 puppies and have shown a few of them in local shows. My kids are 10 and 7 and love taking our dogs for walks, hikes and playing with them in our very large back yard. I am home all summer and my school year schedule varies so I have plenty of time to take your pup on walks and play with them. I have a large fenced back yard and 2 pups friendly pups. I have the ability to take your dog to either a paved or dirt trail for walks or runs. My dogs walk 4 to 5 miles a day but I can definitely make the walk shorter if needed. I have the ability to separate the dogs if needed. I can also crate the dogs. Our dogs love to lounge on our couches.

About: I was raised in Indianola, graduated from IHS in 1993 then Simpson College in 1997. As a retired financial services professional, life is all about family, friends, and spending as much time in nature as possible. About: Dogs have always been in my life. I volunteered at Animal Lifeline for 8 years and had a dog daycare of my own for a while. Dogs are everything and I’d be honored to love on yours. I currently work full time from home so doggie day care is definitely doable! My day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends have potential as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! If you request that I come to your house I am very reliable, responsible and respectful. I can guarantee a boat load of scritches and belly rubs as well as time for “business”.

About: We have been pet sitting for friends and colleagues for 2 years so thought why not join Rover and do more! Our clients love my family and we love their pets so it makes perfect sense. I have 4 kids, a small dog and two cats and my small pets just hide if a visiting pet is too much for them otherwise they don't get bothered or bother anyone else, human or pet! I work from home and I have 4 kids who love cats and dogs and love to help out with the dogs that we already provide services for. We are trusted with hideaway keys to homes to let dogs out and we run them in fenced in yards to burn energy. Then we make sure they have food and water and kennel them if applicable before we leave. In our house, visiting pets are watched over by all members of the family. Sometimes we buy them their own special toy to play with. We make sure they eat and get any meds they might need.

“Melanie and family were so friendly that my dogs—a 4- and a 12- year-old Havanese—relaxed immediately. Melanie met us in the yard and the dogs trotted away with her without looking back. About: I believe that animals were put on this earth to show us how to love! The least we can do is return the favor ❤️ I work from home so I have all the time to show your pet love away from home! When I'm not working I have most evenings and weekends available to check in when they are at home! I have a Fenced in yard and two dogs to keep your pup company! I also have an XXL crate needed if that helps comfort them, so that they have their own space when needed!

About: I have cared for animals most of my life. I have cared for common house pets, rodents, birds, reptiles, and even live stock/ farm animals. My life goal is to become a vet and I have experience taking care of special needs animals. I currently work Monday - Friday 9 hours a day but will be home by 4. I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 friendly cats that have both been raised around dogs most of their lives. There is also a park down the street that is just a few minutes walk. At the moment I do ask that if your furry family member will be a guest over night that a crate is provided for safety of your family and my own. I can care for your furry friends before I leave for work and after I return from work. I am also free most weekends and can watch them from Friday to sunday Your furry friends will not have access to anything harmful and will be allowed on my furniture. For their safety and mine at night I will have them sleep in a kennel.

About: With a lifelong ownership of dogs and cats, my experience expanded into rescue fostering in 2021. During this time, I have successfully handled pets that deal with separation anxiety, reactivity, handicaps, and limited obedience/cooperation. I am genuinely excited to learn more about your pet(s), their specific care requirements, and their quirks. I’d love to have responsibility of being your trusted caretaker while you’re away! I am currently working fully remote so am able to do all activities through the weekdays, and have flexible hours on weekends. I’m available to accommodate your schedule to the best of my ability. My home is pet-free, ensuring a comfortable environment for your pet(s), especially if they don’t get along well with other animals. Drawing from my experience with reactive dogs, I am experienced in implementing safety measures during outdoor walks or encounters with other animals.

About: I have been a volunteer pet sitter for many years helping friends and neighbors. Dogs sense my spirit and respond in kind. I am a hands-on, loving caregiver and my fur baby Wiggles is a generous host who loves to share. If your baby has special needs, we will accommodate seniors, or puppies that need more frequent potty breaks. Our home is very clean. Wiggles has regular vet care and is healthy and vibrant. I work from my home office. Your baby will not be crated (unless you request it) or left unsupervised. They will receive attention and have a buddy to keep them calm and occupied until you come to pick them up. My sweet Wiggles is a 13.5# Shipoo with a happy, loving disposition. Wiggles is very adaptable and welcomes new visitors to her home with enthusiasm. She is very bright and has helped 2 puppies learn to potty outside with the big kids. She loves meeting new fur buddies. She is an energetic and gentle playmate. We only take one dog (or dog family) at a time so your fur baby(s) will receive our complete attention. We go for walks every 2 hours and have at least one adventure per day to the park or other doggie destination. We make our own food and treats and feed every 4 hours with unlimited low-cal treats. We have and expect good manners, but we also believe doggies should be SPOILED. We look forward to meeting and falling in love with your fur baby.

Her communication from booking and throughout the stay was wonderful and she was flexible with times, which was very appreciated. Our miniature poodles are a little shy with small children, but they did not mind running around the very spacious house with her two little boys. We highly recommend Sarah to take care of your dogs.”
