About: I have so much compassion and care since working with homeless and injured pets from a shelter for 18 years. I have patience for scared/aggressive babies as well I have 18 years of experience working at an animal shelter. I now work for a local vet and if anything were to happen i have 24 hour access. About: Hi! I'm Brooke. I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, and more since I was 8! I currently have two dogs of my own - one very young/energetic and one senior - and I also have a cat (all very spoiled and loved). I offer dog walking and drop-in visits. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments but am always happy to do a meet and greet prior to booking to make sure I'm a good fit for your family. I currently work 100% remote from my house so my schedule is very flexible. I have two dogs of my own and a cat so I’m already on the routine of taking care of animals! I would be happy to care for your pets at your home however you do when you’re there! With some simple instructions, I’ll make sure they stay on the same routine and follow any specific rules you may have (ie no jumping on furniture). About: Growing up I had experience with a lot of types of animals, from cats, dogs, sheep, pigs, cows and horses. In my adult life, I have had a lab mix and have had 4 boxers (3 currently still in the home) and a siamese mixed cat. I learned a lot about dog behavior when I got my first boxer through training, and feel like that has helped me with other dogs too. Two of my current boxers are seniors and they take meds so I am familiar with those types of things and my other one is 8 months old so I am currently also in the puppy phases as well. I do have a full-time job. Evenings and weekends are the best time for me on some days. I often work from home later in the week so I can be flexible those days. I am definitely open to chatting about options. I will keep my calendar up to date based on my availability. If your pups are coming to my house, I have a fenced in yard. I do have a pool, but I go outside with all pups for safety reasons. If your dog loves to swim let me know! I also have a quiet neighborhood for a nice leashed walk. I do have a lot of stairs so if you have a senior dog that has mobility issues my house might not be the best option. If they go out on a leash this would be less of an issue b/c I can take them for a walk out front. I crate my puppy when I am gone, and can crate your dog when/if you would like me too. I would like any special instructions about medications/food/behavior etc that are specific to your pets. I would need any specific instructions for your in home stays with your pets.
