Tatiana is amazing! Zeus is in love. He recognizes her car and runs to the door to greet her, excited for his walk. She tires him out enough for him to settle down so I can work without having a bored puppy underfoot. Will request her again.

About: I've had a variety of different pets throughout my life, and also spent over 100 hours volunteering with local animal shelters. Plenty of experience and a deep passion and love for animals! Currently on the job search, so availability is extremely flexible! Only a few standing obligations on Saturday evenings (8:00 PM) and Sunday afternoons between 2-6 PM. My own pets have their schedules and quirks, and I'm more than happy to accommodate your pet's schedule/quirks to help provide the most comfortable environment for your babies!

Madison was amazing with checking in and taking care of our 2 dogs while we were away for a week! She was attentive and even took time to clean up any accidents and dispose of the trash outside of the house! She gave tons of pics and detailed updates everyday which was so appreciated. Will definitely book her again when needed!

I cared for many dogs while in Tuscaloosa for college. I have since moved to Birmingham and become a NICU nurse! No matter what your baby needs, I’m here!! I am a full time nurse so my schedule varies! I typically work 3 days a week, so depending on the week I will be available different days! I love to be active and love to run around with energetic dogs as well as give love to the cuddly dogs! I base my approach based on the dogs needs, every baby is different!

I have my own dog that is a cocker spaniel and he lives to play! I currently work at a job where I handle multiple dogs at once and I love it! I go on lots of walks and have a big yard to play! I work a part time job and am in college in town. I Am home most of the day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Saturdays are my busy days but am still available to board. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are a little more unpredictable w my schedule but I am home by 5 maybe before. I have a large fenced yard and live across from a large dog friendly park/walking trail. About: I’ve had multiple pets for multiple years. I’ve fostered, rescued, rehabbed, and taken care of multiple dogs at a time for multiple years. They have a wide range of personalities, needs, and interests. I’ve worked with aggressive, resource-protective, calm, and medically needing dogs. I’m capable and equipped to take care of them and help your home function well! I’m a business owner with a very flexible schedule. I can usually be available quickly and last minute if needed. I also can handle large stretches of days and time brackets. I create an environment for my visits that are curated too what your pets are most comfortable with. That being said I love to get to know what makes your pet comfortable and help to emulate the kind of routine that helps them not miss a beat of their routine!

About: Growing up I had experience with a lot of types of animals, from cats, dogs, sheep, pigs, cows and horses. In my adult life, I have had a lab mix and have had 4 boxers (3 currently still in the home) and a siamese mixed cat. I learned a lot about dog behavior when I got my first boxer through training, and feel like that has helped me with other dogs too. Two of my current boxers are seniors and they take meds so I am familiar with those types of things and my other one is 8 months old so I am currently also in the puppy phases as well. I do have a full-time job. Evenings and weekends are the best time for me on some days. I often work from home later in the week so I can be flexible those days. I am definitely open to chatting about options. I will keep my calendar up to date based on my availability. If your pups are coming to my house, I have a fenced in yard. I do have a pool, but I go outside with all pups for safety reasons. If your dog loves to swim let me know! I also have a quiet neighborhood for a nice leashed walk. I do have a lot of stairs so if you have a senior dog that has mobility issues my house might not be the best option. If they go out on a leash this would be less of an issue b/c I can take them for a walk out front. I crate my puppy when I am gone, and can crate your dog when/if you would like me too. I would like any special instructions about medications/food/behavior etc that are specific to your pets. I would need any specific instructions for your in home stays with your pets.

About: Hi! I’m a biology major at Jeff State Community College that is obsessed with animals of all kinds. I’ve been surrounded by dogs since the day I was born and became the main caregiver for them when I was about 12. From shy, skittish, and very nervous/anxious dogs with hyper personalities to laid back, not a care in the world, couch potato dogs, no job is too big or small for me and no pup is too difficult. I believe that every dog deserves detailed care that is specifically created to fit their needs. I'm off for the summer and am currently available on all days except Fridays before 12:00 pm. My availability will shift slightly in the fall but I’m more than willing to work with you to make sure your pup still gets the care they need. I strive to create a safe and warm environment for every pup I meet! For in-house sitting I will make sure to follow your pup's routine to a tee to ensure that they feel safe, comfortable, and have a fun time. Whether it's keeping up with a feeding schedule, nap/sleep schedule, medication schedule, daily walks and potty breaks, playing their favorite games, etc. I am more than happy to go out of the way to make sure their needs are met. I bring the exact same energy for drop-in visits and walks making sure they get as much exercise as they need.

Sent tons of pictures which was much appreciated, very communicative and definitely made me feel at ease about my puppy! He’s so high energy and is always super crazy but he was tired when I got home after their walk/ play time! 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be booking with her again. I’ve had such terrible experiences with two other rover’s before so this was a very nice and pleasant change of pace. She definitely goes above and beyond and obviously genuinely cares so much about the dogs she takes care of.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Leeds. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
