About: NOTE: I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 3 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. I currently have two dogs of my own. They can play all together or be kept separated! I also have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Can’t wait to meet your precious pups! Please contact me if you have any remaining questions! I am mostly free over the summer and weekends. I run errands or make plans outside of when I’m taking care of pets. Pet care is my priority while hosting! I have a fenced in yard, my own dogs to join in play if wanted, I have gates/doors and a finished lower level where I can separate dogs if need be, and have multiple kennels. I allow my dogs on furniture, but can follow owner house rules.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with hunting dogs, big dogs, farm animals, and cats. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks or weekend check ins while you are out and about being social (in the Ankeny/Polk City area). My boyfriend works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor/Beaverdale areas. Some nights he may even join if he’s home. We have a two dogs of our own that could join, pending your permission of course. I am always very cautious when going in for my furry friends for walks, making sure they are safe. I’m full of love and attention and energy to burn so I’d love a buddy. About: We lost our beloved dog "Chester" in 2022 and our home has felt empty ever since. Both my husband & I have grown up with dogs & we loved playing, walking and cuddling w/Chester. The unconditional love he provided to our family was priceless. My husband & I are empty nesters as of last fall, 2023 & we are available to care and watch your dog on a weekday or weekend.. Your dog will be loved in our home as much as it is in your home. We will thoroughly enjoy spoiling it like it is our own pet! We live downtown Des Moines & will be able to walk your dog regularly to near by parks/Grays Lake. I like to know what the sleep/feeding schedule of your dog is, as well as any tricks they know, the time between bathroom breaks, and how the interact with other dogs.

About: I have 7 years of experience working with senior dogs who need a little extra care when it comes to medications and transportation. I am able to lift 140 lbs to help the forever puppies with powder sugar faces. I am currently between jobs after graduating and have plenty of time to go on “w.a.l.k’s” or play with pups! I have a lot of availability! I am very responsible when it comes to pet care and I am on call 24/7 for any pet needs. I keep a tight schedule for medications and have a keen eye for pill tricksters.

About: I'm excited to be there for your pet in whatever way you need. I have been pet and house sitting for years and will watch your animals with care 💕 I work downtown from 8:30 to 5 but I have flexibility when I take my lunch break. On Fridays, I have the option to work remote. I can beat assist with pet care before or after work and on weekends. I am able to do walks and check inside around the lunch hour. I can't offer to host pets at my home, but I'm happy to follow whatever guidelines clients set. I want to make sure your pets are comfortable and well cared for.

I worked for a few years as a veterinary assistant during college so I am comfortable working with animals with medical needs. I previously worked for Hill's Pet Nutrition caring for 100-200 dogs in their canine facility every day, making sure they live their best life! I helped care for our 2 family dogs growing up, I currently have my own cat named Winifred, and I also have experience as a volunteer pet sitter while I was in college. There is no dog too big or too small, I love them all! And I would love to help you care for your furry family member. I work fully remote, so I can easily bring my work with me and spend most of my time with your pets. My daily schedule is pretty flexible, so I'm able to adjust as needed. As long as I know the important people, places, and things in and around your home, I can navigate taking care of your pets in their own space providing a routine that its similar to what they're used to while you're away!

I'm retired so I'm available 7 days a week, no job too small, you can call me when or if you have a last minute cancelation. I live in a townhome community so your dog should be able to walk on a leash if staying at my home. (No fenced in area)
