When I returned home after a 6 day trip my house was so clean and tidy and I really appreciated that. Scout and Moose were happy and healthy and that’s the most important . It shows that Kyle spent quality time. Kyle communicated regularly and sent the most excellent photos daily. I will certainly be in touch for future visits . 5 star”

About: Hi! I'm Sarah. I love all animals and like to give them the care and love they deserve! I’ve had pets all my life. I'm kind, positive, gentle, and calm. My patience and calm demeanor allow animals to feel very comfortable around me. I have experience giving cats subcutaneous fluids 3x/wk for 7 months, oral meds (liquid and pill form for 1.5 years), facials, baths, and showers. and I'm sensitive & observant to animals' needs. I do my best to understand animal behavior and what they're communicating. When I adopted my cats, Sparkles & Zorro, they truly adopted me as their mom. They were a few months old & I was 10. I was their person, and the only one Sparkles completely trusted. They passed in 2019 & 2024. My dad and I found and revived a young robin from a flood after a tornado. When I come across wildlife or strays in need, I will go to the ends of the earth to help. In college I had a zoology emphasis & interned at an exotic wildlife rehabilitation center. I have volunteered at a local animal shelter washing dogs, cleaning kennels, & socializing with cats & dogs. I also volunteered at a farm animal sanctuary. We began rescuing cats since the LA wildfires and I fostered one. With a positive attitude and a readiness to learn, I'd complete the tasks assigned, giving attention to the animals as I go along. After finishing my work on the sanctuary, I'd thoroughly socialize with the animals, spending time in different barns/rooms each week so that all, from pigs to cats, receive equal attention. My skills allow me to notice a creature in need of help and be an advocate until the animal is safe and/or in the right hands. In addition to being an animal-lover, I am a people-person who enjoys the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team. Sincerely, Sarah I'm currently looking for work and I'm an actress so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pets and treat them like my own. I will treat your pet as though they were my own. I will make sure they are properly cared for, this includes playing with them, quality time, feeding, and bathroom time.
“Kelly was easy to work with and she was very patient with my shy kitty. She helped us out a lot when our travel plans changed. Glad to know she’s nearby to help us with our pets!”

About: Hello! I’m an avid animal lover — having worked with dogs, cats and reptiles. I have been a dog and cat sitter for more than 10 years, and a dog walker for 4 years. I’m also a freelance teacher, and I volunteer at a beloved Sonoma county farm, working with horses, cows, goats, pigs and even emus, to name a few. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! I am currently available Monday-Wednesday. My schedule may shift soon, but currently I’m available all day and overnight on these days. Mornings are my favorite, but any time that my schedule shows availability is great:) I will be sure to follow all safety concerns in your home, making sure to abide by your usual walk and feeding schedule and practices, able to adapt to different collars, harnesses and leashes, and being sure to stay in whatever parts of the home you prefer to have your pets stay in, if not the entirety of your home.
About: I grew up taking care of my family's beagle. While I don't have a dog of my own now, I've taken care of my friends' pets and family's pets for 4 years. I can match a dog's energy whether its time to play or time to rest. I am patient and detail-oriented. Keeping your pets safe will be my number one priority. I am a teacher so I will have time to take care of your pets after school on weekdays and on the weekends. Pet care is not an extra job or a chore; it is a joy! I will not be able to care for pets in my home. In your home, safety is still the number one priority. I will ensure that your pet doesn't get into any dangerous situations whether that be regarding food, small objects, or outdoor access. Rachael was so awesome 👏🏼 I just adopted my void brothers and was so nervous traveling abroad and finding someone I could trust to watch my boys. Rachael went above and beyond my expectations, leaving detailed notes and pictures of the boys. She even successfully managed to get my shy boy comfortable and playful. Christina was fantastic. She was punctual, communicative, and sent daily photos that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. One of my cats is very shy and needs medication, and she handled both with such patience and care. I was especially impressed by how quickly the animals warmed up to her. She also asked thoughtful questions and regularly checked in to clarify details, which showed how attentive and responsible she is. We were also so grateful that she was able to accommodate us on short notice. Christina made the whole experience easy and reassuring, and we would absolutely trust her with our pets again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
