About: I grew up with lots of dogs and cats and have always had a lot of love for animals. I’m very attentive to their body language and behavior and do my best to understand what they need and what makes them feel comfortable. I also enjoy training my own pets, especially for their safety and the safety of others, while understanding that every dog is different and needs a different approach. Most of all, I believe in treating every being with love, patience, and respect and would care for your pets the same way I care for my own. I’m a freelancer with a flexible schedule and availability during the week and on weekends. I love getting outside and am happy to take your pup for a walk even on rainy or chilly days. I’m very respectful of people’s homes and belongings and am careful to leave things just as I found them. I know pets are used to their routines, so I’m punctual with feeding, walks, medications, and any other schedules you have in place.
About: I’ve had 8 years of experience caring for animals such as dogs, cats, sheep, goats, and even pigs! I’ve had experience walking and feeding all such animals. I work part time so I have a flexible work schedule, I’m use to dedicating time to caring for animals, I have lots of free time. I play with them, feed them, give them water, take them on walks, let them play outside as needed, give them attention, ensure their health.
“Excellent. Really put our mind at ease knowing he was not alone while we were at an event with the other two dogs. Micheal was prompt, friendly and we would definitely use him again.”

“Michelle was the best Rover ever! She came with extensive experience with animals at the Humane Society, which is just what Spirit needed. Spirit was a rescue and although very well adjusted to her new home, having the most experienced and loving caretaker. At our meet and greet, Michelle asked about all of her needs, medical and how to play with her. She was an instant friend with organic buffalo treats on our meet and greet. In our week away we got daily updates with wonderful pictures of Spirit doing her favorite things from eating to playing with her favorite toys. The bubbles, the balls and her wand. She was a happy well fed cat while we were gone. She even turned up the heat on a cold day in Forestville. Michelle was a fantastic Rover and Spirit and her family were very grateful to have fo”

About: I am very intuitive, calm, and have a natural ability to connect with every dog that I meet. I take the time to learn each pup’s unique personality, routines, and quirks — whether that’s a favorite walking route, a special way they like to be greeted, or the toy that always gets their tail wagging. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while their owners are away. My passion is to provide attentive, tailored care whether it's for walks or in-home care. I am a great communicator and will always provide updates as requested to put your mind at ease. Serving Sonoma and Marin County! I will update my availability regularly on the Rover calendar to ensure accuracy. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend and how I can be of service. I am reliable, trustworthy, and responsible so you can trust me to keep your place clean and safe, just like you left it or better as I love a clean home. I take great pride in being engaged and present with them whether we are on walks, hikes or just chilling out. I am attentive, compassionate, and loving so your four-legged friend will not just get a sitter, but a dog lover who will give them love and affection in my care. To ease the mind of pet parents, I am more than happy to send updates, pictures, or videos during my care. I want you to feel reassured that he/she is in good hands.
“Thank you Bernice for taking g such good care of Sassy! First time using the app and so happy we came across it. Bernice was in time, sent photos and let us know now out little one was doing! She was excellent and Sassy had a great time!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was fifteen, but I have had different animals all throughout my life. From birds, to cats, and dogs of all sizes I have had a lot of personal experience. Some of my duties included feeding, walking, bathing, grooming (for personal pets), and attention to medical needs. I have a big heart for pets and wish to give them care and support as they do us! I don’t currently have any pets, but I do tend to dog sit for my aunt. I currently work as a caregiver and for an after school program for youth. On my days off, I would love to help with pets. As stated above I don’t currently have a pet of my own, but for my aunt’s dog I take him on walks, feed him, keep him hydrated (especially with summer bringing in heat), there’s always play time and he gets a bath before he goes back home. I am very open to all needs of both the pet and the owner.
“Another month of absolutely wonderful visits with Rachael! 🥹💛 I genuinely couldn’t ask for someone better to care for my little zoo. She is incredibly attentive, thoughtful, reliable, and somehow manages to turn every visit into its own little adventure. Hazel gets walks, enrichment games, wildlife investigations, new Hazelverse expansions, pool days, and plenty of love — while Lady gets chauffeured around like royalty and Ghost gets to maintain her mysterious existence undisturbed. 😂 Rachael pays attention to all the little things, from behavior changes and water bowls to construction noises, neighborhood chaos, and whatever wildlife Hazel has deemed suspicious that day. I always feel completely comfortable knowing my animals are in her care. And the report cards are genuinely a highlight of my workdays. 😂 I look forward to the stories and photos, and the critters clearly look forward to their adventures with her. We’re so lucky to have her! 💛🐾”

“Kelly was easy to work with and she was very patient with my shy kitty. She helped us out a lot when our travel plans changed. Glad to know she’s nearby to help us with our pets!”

About: I’ll treat you, your pet(s), and your space with the same respect I would want my pets and space treated. I’ve been helping family and friends with pet care for over 20 years with some uncertified training where needed (mostly leash control and recall with excited doggos). I’m currently between jobs, and my schedule is wide open. I’m available for same day bookings, and happy to schedule things out for recurring service if that’s a good fit. I will treat your home with the same respect that I would want my home treated with. I will follow the instructions that are given without improvising.
“Daniel kept us up to date with our pups while out of town. Making sure they were fed and walked. Our 3 dogs seemed very happy and calm on our arrival home which means that they had great walks and play time.”

About: Hello, pet parents! 🐾 We live in Sebastopol, CA and visit my dad who is a retired local doctor in Warwick, NY..in October 2026.. I’m Ariel, grew up locally and lived and traveled the world, now happily home. I sometimes come with my daughter, Ella who is a 10 year old cat/animal whisperer, and very occasionally with Swedish husband, Mats (also background checked:). I offer drop-in visits for feeding, cuddle/play time+ for cats and dogs+, and dog walking in Sebastopol. *I also offer overnight pet/house sitting in the Warwick, NY area when I’m visiting family (see my October 2026 calendar), and occasionally in Sonoma county. *A little Rover note: I joined Rover a couple of years ago and was just getting started when a family illness shifted my attention and priorities for quite a while. *I’m now back and happily opening availability again.( I did continue care for animals/animal parents that had already been under my care, outside of Rover, during that time, and I’m looking forward to building my Rover community up, too:). I have a soft spot for animals who need a little extra understanding—shy, nervous, cautious, quirky, young, older, escape-prone, or simply very particular! I pay attention to their signals and let them show me what they need. I’m often the person who ends up with a cautious cat or dog coming to sit at my feet—even when they don’t usually approach new people. 😊 I’ve grown up with and cared for animals my whole life, and our family currently includes a much-loved part-ocelot rescue cat. *Your pet’s comfort, safety and happiness are my priority while you’re away. I’m always the primary responsible caregiver. My husband Mats (also on Rover and background - checked) and occasionally our animal-loving cat whispering 10-year-old daughter Ella join me, yet only when you agree and your pets are comfortable with it. I’m warm, attentive, patient and playful—yet, equally happy to give an animal the quiet space they need. If this sounds like the kind of care your pet would love, save my profile and reach out, anytime (I DO occasionally take last minute requests, so go for it:). I’d love to meet you all! 😊 My schedule has some flexibility. With my home studio, virtual clients and office, I’m home much of the day, and many days I coach and work from home. There are various late mornings (occasionally earlier mornings), mid-days and eves available. With the exception of some school drop-off and pick-up times for my daughter, I’m available for loving up, walking, etc. at/from your home or in your neighborhood, as well as some in-home daycare/visits or, occasionally, at our house where we have our cat. Your pet family member(s)’ safety and care is my top priority. See my reviews and the high level of trust they reflect. Mutual communication is a top priority:). I work and care with responsibility, loving awareness, kindness and attention to your home, yard, gardens, gates and environment. I enter gently, calling your pet’s name so they know I’m there, and slowly open doors/gates to help keep escape artists safely inside:)). We’ll enjoy time together in or outside according to the moment, your instructions, their energy, health and the plan. Having grown up with cats, dogs, ducks, rabbits, birds and more, I understand that every animal has their own temperament, personality and preferences—including how they like (or don’t like) to be picked up, held and approached. Getting to know each other with care is a priority. Through living, traveling and working around the world, I’ve cared for animals in many different kinds of homes and environments. I’ve also had our own pet sitters/carers, giving me firsthand experience of what it’s like to entrust someone with your beloved animals and home. Your home and pet(s) are in good hands. My intention is for you and your pets to feel at ease and have a safe, happy experience all around:).
“Larisa has been great and has taken the burden off of worrying about my fur child. She is very prompt, personable, and Monster is happy when I get home. She is a great communicator and I feel confident that she is doing a great job. Thank you Larisa!”

“Our pets loved Brittany! She was comfortable with taking our big Irish wolfhound on a walk, and our kittens warmed up to her immediately. Great communication, & I felt very comfortable during my weekend away knowing that Brittany was taking care of our dog and kittens. Thank you!!”
“Courtney was great. Easy to schedule and replied quickly. She took great care of the dogs and we will definitely call her again. She did everything we asked perfectly and the dogs really liked her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Llano
Laura and our two dogs bonded almost immediately which put our minds at ease. At our meet and greet it was evident that Laura has a genuine love of animals and the dogs sensed it also. So loving and calm with them. She took great care of them and kept in touch with texts and photos while we were away. She went above and beyond by spending extra time with them. She asked if it was ok to do some work from home at our house and we were fine with that ....and we know that the dogs loved her being here with them. We will use her services again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you.
Patty is extremely friendly, communicative, and reliable. This was my first time using a pet sitter and, as soon as I met her, I felt instantly at ease. She is very loving with the dogs, and conscientiously takes care of each task that I request, even changing pee pads for me! I could not have asked for a better first experience with a pet sitter. She is so professional that the whole process felt incredibly easy and stress-free.

Excellent! I really appreciated Holly's concern for Gray and extra search efforts in getting my wayward cat back into the house, after I foolishly let her out before my trip. Holly became good friends with Gray, gave her lots of affection and noticed issues with Gray's cat food which I had not. Holly also offered to evacuate Gray if needed during the recent Sonoma County fires. I recommend Holly to anyone who wants a caring and conscientious pet sitter. She did a wonderful job :-)

Sarah was amazing!! I have two very shy cats and she won them both over with kindness and patience. They both love her!! And I loved her care for the house, great questions and videos that she sent with every visit! I never worried once while on vacation—that’s how good she is!!
Elika was perfect for our Puma! She checked in with me every visit with details of Puma's feeding, water and pee and pooh activity. Elika was responsible, respectful and cautious in our home. We arrived home to our well cared for pet, that was happy to see us! When we need a sitter for Puma, Elika is the sitter for us!! Thanks again for your service, Jill

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
