“Kylie is great, so friendly and helpful. She was happy to take on our last-minute request, which was so nice and allowed us to deal with our change in summer plans with ease. Will definitely be using her in the future when she’s available!”

“Keelyn did a great job of housesitting and pet sitting at our home. She entertained our dog, Gemma, and even took her for an outing at the farmers market to socialize. This is the second time we have hired her and all went well. Thanks Keelyn!”

About: I am a huge animal lover and I have had experience with animals since I was about 8 years old both with my own animals and my neighbors and family friends. I would walk them, feed them, and bath them or anything else that my neighbors and family friends would need! I currently have one orange cat and a black lab/great Pyrenees dog of my own that I have always done my best to take care of just like I would do for any fur baby! I feel like that communication is incredibly important! I would love to know all about your pets and to know what I can do to make any experience better! Feel free to let me know whatever details about your fur babies and I’d be more than willing to do whatever you need. No request or detail is too big or small. Your animals safety and happiness is my #1 priority. I have recently graduated from the University of Wyoming so my schedule is pretty open. I do work from home so my schedule is very flexible. I do have 2 animals of my own, one orange cat and one black lab/Great Pyrenees mix, so boarding isn’t something I usually do. My babies are friendly but not everyone’s are super comfortable with that! As for outside of my own home, I would care for anyone’s fur baby as I would my own, making sure they are safe and comfortable!
“We were super impressed and so grateful for Chasity watching our dog for the first time for us while we went on vacation. She showed him so much love and affection. She would send pictures and updates on how he was doing, which helped put our minds at ease and we were able to really enjoy our vacation knowing that he was in such good hands. Thank you so much! We highly recommend her!”

“Emily did a fantastic job watching Grant! We met in advance of her dog sitting him and I could tell immediately that they really liked each other. She kept me updated with pictures, helped me out with some extra tasks, and was super flexible and kind!”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring extra patience and attention. My background includes both overnight stays and daytime visits, where I’ve been responsible for feeding, walking, administering basic care, and maintaining each dog’s routine to ensure they feel comfortable and secure in their environment. I've grown up with a Golden doodle and been surrounded by dogs pretty much my whole life. I'm currently working part-time, but even with my other job, I am very flexible, and my daily and weekly routine isn't busy. I currently live in an apartment, so I’m unable to offer boarding in my home. However, I’m more than happy to provide care in your home, where your dog is most comfortable. I take great pride in being respectful, clean, and responsible when staying in others’ homes, and I can provide references from past clients who have trusted me with both their pets and their space. I also have personal experience caring for an anxious dog, which has given me a strong understanding of how to create a calm, safe, and reassuring environment. I’m patient, attentive, and mindful of triggers, and I know how important it is to build trust at a dog’s pace. Whether your pup needs extra comfort, consistency, or just a gentle presence, I’m committed to making them feel secure and cared for while you’re away.
About: I have experience taking care of fish, turtles, frogs, and of course cats and dogs! I love animals of all kind and have owned my own dogs, cats, and turtles and ran a zoology club taking care of reptiles during my undergrad years. I am a first year graduate student at UWYO taking a few classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays this semester, other than that I am extremely flexible and communicative. Even on Tuesdays and Thursdays I am still available majority of the day and am also able to stay the night! At my home I have a fenced yard with room to do some playing and I love taking long daily walks and would love to have a fur friend to join me! I have a genuine love for pets and would enjoy getting to know their schedule and cater to that and get to know the pet. I am familiar with basic animal care of many types of pets and am great at following the structures you have in place to make your baby feel comfortable while you are away.

About: I’ve taken care of both friends and family dogs and cats, family dog is a trained service animal. Have walked neighborhood dogs in the past. Over the summer I work 30 hours a week Mon-Fri but other than that I will be free to take care of your pets I am very present and engaging, I am CPR certified. I am very outdoorsy and love to go on walks. On time with feeding and meals as well as medication
“Jordyn did a great job watching my dog. She was very responsive and made me feel 100% comfortable leaving her for the night! I will be booking her again for future needs and highly recommend her!”

“Rachel did a great job taking care of our diabetic dog, giving him shots at set times and taking him on walks. She updated regularly and sent pictures. We felt very comfortable with Rachel house sitting and Tardis was a happy boy when we got back.”

“We had a great meet and greet and Kaidance did a great job taking care of Jake and staying in touch with me during the time stayed in my house. She let me know when she arrived and departed, sent lots of pictures during the stay, and left me with a written "diary" of her activities and experiences with Jake and the house. I will be be happy to book Kaidance for dog and house sitting again, with no reservations at all.”

“Michelle took excellent care of our girl, Scout (100 lb lab mix)! We went away to Texas for a long weekend and were sad to leave our furry family member, Scoutie, behind. Michelle sent us lots of photos and updates, which gave us a huge peace of mind while we were away. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you so much, Michelle!”

“Mandy was great! She clearly loved on my doggos the whole time I was gone and cared for them like they were here own. When a little snag came up, (my Great Pyrenees wouldn't come back in the house, imagine that, haha) she got advice right away from my daughters. When she had a question, she made a point to check with me. She took a ton of pictures. Most importantly, I can tell by how my dogs interacted with her when I returned that she did great with them. They love her.”

“Kamryn is another dog sitter with Rover whose love for dogs is crystal clear. She loves being with my dog Jake and he is clearly happy being with her! I hope to continue to have Kamryn as another one of my Rover star sitters I can have stay with Jake over and over, making it a lot easier for me to leave him when I need to travel. Highly recommended!”

“Rachel was great! Communication was frequent and she sent us lots of photo updates while my husband and I were away for the holidays, which was very comforting. We would definitely recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a friendly, reliable sitter for your first babies”

About: My cat Anka is my best friend, and I will always treat your pets with the same consideration I have for her! I’m prepared to interact with them the way they deserve and spend genuine time, love, and attention. I can always rewash my hands, but I can never replace the opportunity to love on your fur-ball. I know being away from your family is hard too; I cherish the opportunity to make it easier by being dependable. I prioritize transparency and open communication because trust is important when you’re relying on a stranger to watch your pets. Whether you want to check in, get updates, see pictures, or need reassurance, I am there for you! Everybody’s needs are different too, so don’t hesitate to let me know what special treatment they require. Whether your friend is energetic and needs lots of walks, or a senior who needs low-stress play, I’ll follow your instruction and make sure they’re safe. I genuinely love all animals and I’m excited to take care of yours! Please feel free to message me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for considering!! I work the same hours every week, and have plenty of downtime to find a plan that works for you. On Mon, Wed, Thur, and Sat I work from 10AM, and get off between 2PM and 4PM. I am free otherwise, so I’ll have ample time to hangout with your friend! I have a very mellow cat who has lived with dogs, but she can also be secured in her own space in my house if needed. I have a large, fenced backyard and live near a park as well. I prefer to watch pets in their own environment to maintain routine and decrease anxiety, but I’m open to accommodating in my home as well! I have a car, so you won’t need to worry about pick ups or drop offs if that’s a concern.

About: We all know it, and we've all heard it: humans don't deserve dogs. They are the best part about us, and their unconditional love is what sets them apart. I hope to do the same with your dog and/or cat, as I've done for every pet that I've watched for over 10 years of my life. I am a full-time employee at UniWyo Credit Union, which means I work your typical 8am-5pm job with 1 hour lunch whenevr I'd like to take it (which means there is flexibility with my schedule). You can trust me to take care of your pet and let them outside when it's needed. I'm also comfortable with dogs sleeping in the bed with me. I currently don't have any dogs or cats, which makes me schedule flexible. Even though I don't have a dog myself, I get my fix from everyone I know and love (my boyfriend has a dog; my parents have a dog; my sister has 2 dogs; my in-laws have 4 dogs, etc). Since I have watched a variety of pets, I'm also comfortable with providing medications (pills, eye drops, ear drops) as needed.

Rae was fantastic with my fur family! I have a high anxiety dog and he dealt with my absence very well with Rae's patience and attention. Even my extra shy kitty came out to say hello. I got lots of videos and my mind was at ease while on vacation. I highly recommend!

Grace was wonderful with my dog, very attentive, responsive, and overall very welcoming. I chose to go with rover due to every time he comes back from the kennel he is overstimulated and smells. He came back from Grace's a sweet boy! I'm looking forward to booking Grace in the future.

Kamryn is another dog sitter with Rover whose love for dogs is crystal clear. She loves being with my dog Jake and he is clearly happy being with her! Emily was great! We have a really young dog and a really old dog… with very different personalities. Emily did great with them! The house was in great shape when we got back and the pups were happy and healthy! She was a great communicator. Will definitely use her as a dog/housesitter in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Laramie on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 60 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Laramie. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Laramie walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Laramie maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Laramie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
