“Jessica was FANTASTIC! She went above & beyond and did things I never even asked of. She was very detail oriented at the Meet & Greet knew exactly what to ask. My 2 very senior cats were very well cared for. I would highly recommend and will be reaching out to her in the future. Thanks so much!”
“Andrea made our first vacation using Rover a breeze! We had previously never used a sitter outside of friends or family, so we were a little nervous. But Andrea came to meet us and our pets beforehand, she was very attentive and kind. She was on time for every check in and left us a note with pictures every time. She was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We highly recommend Andrea and her services. She left us feeling at ease while we were away. When we got home, everything was perfect and our pets were happy and healthy. Thank you so much!!”

Emily was just amazing! She really loves the dogs and treats them as her own. I love the pictures she sends daily and she even took the time to do a meet and greet and get to know us and the pups. Highly reccommend and will be using her again in the near future!

Jennifer was wonderful with our cat Star. She came over to babysit for a couple of hours and was attentive, kind, and clearly comfortable around animals. Star can be a little particular about people, but Jennifer handled everything calmly and patiently, which we really appreciated. It gave us peace of mind knowing Star was in good hands while we were out. We would absolutely recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Olivia was so great with Wrigley! We did a brief meet and greet where she asked questions and took notes on Wrigley’s routine. She was so detailed with her visits with Wrigley, making sure he had a full water bowl and even refilled the water in the refrigerator. She sent lots of pictures which put me at ease. Excited to use her again!

Tyler was great! I’m a bit hard to communicate with sometimes because of my work and he was prompt with responses, honest and compromised to help me with my last minute booking. He shared photos and videos. Looked like my dog had a nice time and got the attention he needed while I was gone. THANK YOU TYLER.

Kerri is not only a lifesaver but an amazing sitter! I had no one to care for my pup last minute and she was available to help. During the visits, she would keep me updated with pictures and letting me know how my puppy was doing. And best of all for me was that my puppy loved her! Will definitely be having her as a sitter again😊

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
