About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I’ve raised and puppy-trained dogs, have experience with exotic animals, and understand that every pet is different. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m free all day Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Tuesdays and Fridays, I only work a short evening shift, and on weekends I work until about 4:30pm. That leaves me with lots of time to make sure your pet gets the attention, walks, and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My apartment community has a fenced dog park for safe outdoor play, along with plenty of sidewalks and green spaces for walks. While my apartment is on the smaller side, your pet will have lots of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and one on attention during their stay.
“I had Jessica walk Pookie and give her dinner. We had a meet-up before that went great and she and Pookie hit it off immediately. I felt comfortable with Jessica and she paid particular attention to details and instructions, which is very important, leaving me with peace of mind and feely confident that all would be well. I received confirmation and photos and returned home to a happy dog. I would happily recommend Jessica.”

About: I’ve owned various animals almost my entire life, and have always jumped to help out family and friends when needed on their days out. Truly spending time with animals is a big joy of mine :)) I currently work full time during the week, but i’m free on weekends for over night sittings or just regular walks. Week night walks are great for me too :) I understand dogs can get a little rowdy sometimes but I will be very careful when playing, and keep my best to have them entertained and well fed :) I’ve always grown up with pets, one of my own being 18 years old and still kicking today! He is blind now but he’s still thriving and running around as if he were a baby. He truly is a big part of why i’m so fond of taking care of animals as he was my very first fur baby!

“Have no fear, the Jon Snow of dog walking is here. (For people who don’t know game of thrones, I’m saying Patrick is amazing.) This was the first and definitely not the last time I’ll use Patrick to watch Moon and Jeter. The amount of photos I received was enough to start my dog’s modeling portfolio. This man can also pivot like Dwayne Wade. The wife and I had some minor alterations to our trip and when I informed Patrick, he compensated beautifully and made everything work. If they ever start a dog walking hall of fame, Patrick has my vote!”

The last few years I have been cat and bunny sitting for several friends when they travel and in the last year or so adopted an orange cat of my own. His name is Honey Nut and he followed me home from the bus stop. I love animals and am a licensed massage therapist who can give your beloved fur babies the best pets! My schedule is pretty open currently. No formal employers at the moment, only other obligations are private massage clients when booked, and my yoga practice. I cannot rate any higher or else I would. Stefan is very professional, punctual, and a kind person with great experience. We received detailed information about his interaction and sent cute pictures. He did great with our 3 month old puppy Malinois Shepard. If you’re thinking about booking his services, do yourself a favor and book him. Thank you Stefan!

I had to find a dog walker in a pinch following a recent surgery. I was impressed by Diane's profile, contacted her, and she responded immediately, showing up the very next day as requested. She has been coming twice a day since, and, as I am home (which is unusual when you hire a dog walker), I have been able to observe that she is always incredibly prompt (to the minute) and gives my two boys a hearty 1/2 hour walk. They took to her immediately, which says a lot about her demeanor with them because they typically will not go with anyone, yet she is even able to lead them away from me without resistance. I am glad my current health situation led me to find Diane, as I will have many other needs for her services in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
