“I had Jessica walk Pookie and give her dinner. We had a meet-up before that went great and she and Pookie hit it off immediately. I felt comfortable with Jessica and she paid particular attention to details and instructions, which is very important, leaving me with peace of mind and feely confident that all would be well. I received confirmation and photos and returned home to a happy dog. I would happily recommend Jessica.”

“It’s our first time using Stephanie for our two dogs. She came in for a meet and greet to get to the know the dogs and their routine beforehand. And she provided very detailed summary of her visit after. We will definitely book her again!”

“Andrea was very helpful and accommodating. We left our puppy with her while we did a couple's photo shoot, and she brought the dog back whenever we needed the dog in a photo with us. It went great!”

“Emily was amazing! It ended up being pouring rain when she came for their walk and she still made sure to get them outside and give them time to do their business before coming back in! she also asked where we kept our towels and dried them off for us. We will definitely be booking with Emily again in the future”

About: I’m great with dogs of all demeanors—from shy/nervous to energetic, most dogs feel comfortable around me. I can read body language, and earn trust easily. I also know how to leash train and sit train. I’m self-employed and work from home nost days, so I can be pretty flexible with advanced notice! If you have wifi and your dogs need a little extra company during the day, I can work remotely from your location. During the week, my standard availability is 8am-10am, 12:00pm-1:00pm, and 4:00pm-8:00pm. Additional availability varies from day to day. I can manage most needs your pet has, including medication. I will always provide updates after walks or visits, including how much was eaten, potty reports, or anything else noteworthy.
About: I have around 20 years of experience taking care of dogs and cats of all ages, including dogs with conditions such as dementia, incontinence, and semi-blindness. I have raised kittens and care for adult/senior cats. I understand that our fur babies are our family! My schedule is very flexible since I work part time in the hospitality industry. Weekdays and weekend availability, including daytime and nighttime. Regular or intermittent. I will go to client homes as my adult cats don't do well with new friends in our home. As I am part of a law enforcement family, rest assured there isn't a concern for your safety/trust, and I take my own safety/security very seriously.

About: I'm an all animal loving former veterinary technician who recently came into a lot of free time. I would love to watch/walk/play with your furry friends and keep your mind at ease when you can't! I'm currently in between jobs so I have full daily/ nightly availability. I can likely come by for whatever preference you have. Super flexible! I'm very much obsessed with animals and treat them with the utmost respect. Animals tend to love me as well. I was a former Vet Tech and I have experience with administering medicine.
About: *I ONLY TAKE ONE CLIENT AT A TIME* *DOGS MUST BE CRATE TRAINED* I've cared for dogs for most of my life, including my own dogs as well as my client's dogs. As a housekeeper for many years, I was the natural choice when my clients needed a pet sitter. Their pets became like my very own. Now that we no longer have a dog in our home and so I enjoy caring for my client's "borrowed" dogs while they are out of town. Hablo español. My husband and I work part-time. Our schedules allow at least one of us to be home all day so your pet will be closely monitored for their safety. I have a fenced-in yard and no other pets in my home. I require a meet & greet before the booking to meet your dog and for you to meet me to make sure we are a good fit. For our safety as well as your dog's safety, I require proof of current Rabies vaccination. At this time, we do not accept more than one client at a time. This is for your pet's comfort and safety. We require a meet & greet with you and your pet before confirming any boarding visit.
About: I have had a plethora of pets my whole life. I have a lot of experience with senior/special needs cats and dogs and other critters but love pets of all ages! I have a very flexible schedule and I am very active and would love to take your dog on a long or short walk! I also appreciate chilling on the couch with my furry friends as well. I am a very calm person and pets seem to warm up to me easily. I enjoy both dogs and cats and have experience taking care of almost any animal.
“Kylee was great to work with. It was our first time leaving our pup for multiple days. Kylee was great at helping both our dog and me with the separation. She was very communicative and shared great feedback.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I’ve raised and puppy-trained dogs, have experience with exotic animals, and understand that every pet is different. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m free all day Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Tuesdays and Fridays, I only work a short evening shift, and on weekends I work until about 4:30pm. That leaves me with lots of time to make sure your pet gets the attention, walks, and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My apartment community has a fenced dog park for safe outdoor play, along with plenty of sidewalks and green spaces for walks. While my apartment is on the smaller side, your pet will have lots of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and one on attention during their stay.

About: Hello, my name is Leila Woods and I am currently in my senior year at FAU. I was raised in a quiet beach town, but in a rather noisy house. For furry friends we have had multiple dogs, cats and fish, as well as some bearded dragons! I have been pet sitting for nearly five years now, as I began in high school with watching my neighbors pets. I love being able to spend my time adoring and caring for animals, especially now that I’m away at college with no pets of my own… so your pets will get extra love and attention! I am currently a senior in mostly remote classes and work an online job, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends! As I don’t have animals of my own I will have extra love and attention for your pets! I treat any animal I work with as my own, being sure to care for its every need. As I care for your pets, I will also care for your home, ensuring all food and toys are where they belong.
“I'm thrilled with Melissa's services, she's great with animals, my dogs took a liking to her I will certainly be using her services again, I highly recommend Melissa to everyone for all your pet needs”

About: Hello! I have been working as an experienced veterinary technician for over 3 years. I am a graduate student doing my first year online and looking to save money before moving to campus :) I am currently a full time graduate student. I will be fully online working from home for the first year before moving states to continue my education. I am looking to save money using my experience as a veterinary technician while doing something I love! I live in a 3 story town home 2 miles from the beach and a short walk to a park and the inlet! I have one cat living in my house but have an agreement with my roommate for her to be in a separate room during boarding stays if necessary. I cannot rate any higher or else I would. Stefan is very professional, punctual, and a kind person with great experience. We received detailed information about his interaction and sent cute pictures. He did great with our 3 month old puppy Malinois Shepard. If you’re thinking about booking his services, do yourself a favor and book him. Thank you Stefan!

I had to find a dog walker in a pinch following a recent surgery. I was impressed by Diane's profile, contacted her, and she responded immediately, showing up the very next day as requested. She has been coming twice a day since, and, as I am home (which is unusual when you hire a dog walker), I have been able to observe that she is always incredibly prompt (to the minute) and gives my two boys a hearty 1/2 hour walk. They took to her immediately, which says a lot about her demeanor with them because they typically will not go with anyone, yet she is even able to lead them away from me without resistance. I am glad my current health situation led me to find Diane, as I will have many other needs for her services in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
