I had Jessica walk Pookie and give her dinner. We had a meet-up before that went great and she and Pookie hit it off immediately. I felt comfortable with Jessica and she paid particular attention to details and instructions, which is very important, leaving me with peace of mind and feely confident that all would be well. I received confirmation and photos and returned home to a happy dog. I would happily recommend Jessica.

Andrea was very helpful and accommodating. We left our puppy with her while we did a couple's photo shoot, and she brought the dog back whenever we needed the dog in a photo with us. It went great!

About: I have over five years of experience caring for dogs through Rover and for family and friends. I’ve looked after all kinds of pups from playful puppies full of energy to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and comfort. I make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits easily into my schedule since I work for myself and set my own hours. I’m pretty flexible and always make time for the dogs I watch. Whether it’s walks or playtime, I can adjust my day to make sure each pup gets the attention they need. I make sure every pup feels safe and loved while in my care. I follow each owner’s routine feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions so they feel right at home. I give plenty of attention and snuggles, make sure they get gentle exercise, and keep their space comfortable and cozy. My goal is for every pup to feel happy, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away.

About: I've had an extensive amount of time with animals since I was a kid. Caring for my own family pets including snakes, lizards, cats, dogs and hamsters. I've always been happily willing to foster kittens and puppies who have been abandoned even at a very young age. All of which, have gone on to live healthy happy lives. As I've gotten older I've continued to foster any animal in need and more professionally take on pet sitting. While continuing to add my touch of love and compassion with each pet in my care. I'm currently working part time remotely so I have plenty of time to have engaging one on one time with your pet. This flexibility also allows me the opportunity to take same day requests. Pet care can vary per household and animal needs. I'm happy to follow any detailed directions provided to make sure I can guarantee a safe environment for the pet or pets. Taking special caution in entering and exiting homes, making sure all unsafe items for your pet are not accessible and generally keeping a comfortable environment for your pet(s).

Have no fear, the Jon Snow of dog walking is here. (For people who don’t know game of thrones, I’m saying Patrick is amazing.) This was the first and definitely not the last time I’ll use Patrick to watch Moon and Jeter. The amount of photos I received was enough to start my dog’s modeling portfolio. This man can also pivot like Dwayne Wade. The wife and I had some minor alterations to our trip and when I informed Patrick, he compensated beautifully and made everything work. If they ever start a dog walking hall of fame, Patrick has my vote!

About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life so I’m use to taking care of them and they give me a certain comfort to be with them especially while I can also help someone who might be going out for awhile. I do have a job as a hostess in the near by area but there only 4 hour shifts so I don’t get scheduled to often so I believe that it won’t interfere with the dog/cat. I do have a 13yr old yorkie at my home but if per say a dog doesn’t get along with animals I can separate them in room to accommodate for that issue

My daily routine is pretty consistent and I am sure to keep the pets on the same schedules they normally have! I will be sure to be as flexible as I am for my own pet and the pets of my friends and family. Being careful to follow pet needs and also making sure all activities are done safely and fun for them.

About: I grew up with cats, dogs, birds, bearded dragons, and snakes in my home, along with random outdoor critters that my mom would find and nurture back to health! I love spending time with almost all animals (sorry fish, not you), and I am on this app to connect with local animal lovers and help out the community while I work from home! I feel bad for animals that have to stay home alone all day while their human goes to work, I'd rather they be my coworkers! At least their drama is related to sniffing butts, scratching stuff, and treats, not office politics and squabbles. I work from home 4-5 days per week and love when I can take a break and snuggle with a furball or go for a stroll with a doggo! Nothing better for stress relief than that! Including for the four legged friend! At my place I have a good fenced in yard with a pool. If at your place, it's pretty much the same drill - I'll work for a couple hours at a time and take a break to spend time with the little guy/girl. I'm a fan of pets and playtime with treats (if permissable), a way for me and the buds to stretch our legs and our minds. It's not good for anyone to be cooped up for too long! A little fresh air goes a long way! I even carry my cat out to the patio at least once a day to squint at the sun and scout for lizards/leaves/wind blowing

Eric was amazing with our two dogs - one large and small. We didn't know he had so much experience with dogs, including also being a dog handler! I guess I would call him a dog expert, as I learned more about dog behavior chatting with him even briefly!!! He knew exactly how to interact with our dogs each having their own personality. He was also great with our large dog who has a tendency to get anxious. Our dogs loved Eric and he was great with them! He walked, and played with them and I could see from the pictures they were happy and having fun!!! I will defiantly be booking him again. I highly recommend Eric for anyone wanting their dogs to be cared for well and to have peace of mind!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
