“Don’t delay, book Melissa today! The next best thing to you being there is having Melissa take care of your pets. This was my first time to use Rover and the whole experience exceeded my expectations! My very shy rescue cat warmed right up to Melissa. She sent me adorable pictures every day, she is extremely conscious. My time away was so much more enjoyable because I knew Melissa was taking great care of my pet, many many thanks, Melissa!”

“Auriel is a fantastic pet sitter! I’ve used her services twice, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. The best part? My kitties absolutely adore her. They recognize her now and are always happy to see her—which, in my opinion, is the highest praise a pet sitter can receive. Knowing they’re comfortable and well cared for gives me complete peace of mind. Thank you, Auriel!”

“We had an incredible experience with Nathalia on Rover! She was very caring and maintained excellent communication! We especially appreciated that she sent us pictures of our babies; it gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Additionally, she was able to accommodate us for an extra day at the last minute! We will definitely book her again without hesitation 😻 Highly recommend!”

About: I have over 4 years of experience pet sitting and caring for animals of all ages. I’m experienced with puppies, senior pets, and animals who need extra patience and attention. I’m also comfortable administering oral medications and caring for pets who are sick or recovering. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I always take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. My goal is to give every pet the same attention and care I would give my own. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate pet care throughout the week. I can work around my class schedule and make time for regular walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I’m able to adjust my availability based on each pet’s needs and provide consistent, attentive care. I offer boarding, house sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. I currently live in an apartment, so for boarding I can provide a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment for pets who are comfortable in an apartment setting. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, and rest. For house sitting, I care for pets in their own home and maintain their familiar routines and surroundings. During walks and drop-in visits, I provide exercise, bathroom breaks, meals, fresh water, playtime, and companionship while giving each pet the individual attention they need.
About: I love going on walks and playing with pets. I love to cuddle so pets sleep in my bed. I am available at all times everyday. I have a small 5 pound dog who isn’t neutered, but is up to date on all of his shots, he is extremely nice and loves to play with other dogs, he does bark a lot. I love cats, but I can’t have them in my house. I good with multiple pets at the same time. I am okay with puppies not being completely trained, as long as they are some what trained. When nobody is home, my dog gets put in his cage or he will make a mess everywhere. As long as your pet loves people, we will get along great. I am a full time stay at home mom, so I have no problem adding taking care of pets to my routine and would love it. I cuddle with all pets, my pets and your pets would be separate from each other. If it is at your home that is fine also.

About: Hello! Pleasure to assist you and your lovely doggos and cars this fine day. My name is Vel, I am a 26 yr old Pilates/walk loving girl who works as a paralegal from home. I’ve been the proud owner of two shelter baby boys and recently lost the love of my life Bossley (my 11 yr old Boston Terrier Beagle mix you see on my profile). Due to this loss I’m trying to get back out there and walk all the miles with your dog as I did with mine. Due to being a beginner I am offering very low prices to get to meet new clients in my vicinity. Thanks so much for reading this! I currently work from home with flexible hours as I work with a non-profit who is very work balanced friendly. You will see my schedule change from here to here. For now as a house sitter I will be very diligent with the information you provide me of your babies. Be precise on feeding time Number of walks - including where to walk (parks, neighborhoods, backyard surveillance) - equipment - distance and timing of walks - I am an avid walker and can walk as much as 5 hours. I can also help with bathing if your dogs/babies are chill like that. And I am here for chill nights and playtime!

I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, and following each pet’s individual routine and needs. 🐾 I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention and care they need throughout the day. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine, so fitting in walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins comes naturally. make sure every pet feels comfortable and cared for by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I’m happy to handle feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, litter boxes, playtime, and lots of attention. “Michelle is the one to book for all of your sitting needs! Not only was she kind and loving toward my 3 cats, she was willing to go above and beyond what was asked of her, especially as my travel plans were shifting last minute. I cannot recommend her enough and will be rebooking her the next time I need a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner on and off for over 20 years. I have rescued two pit bulls one of which I spent a considerable amount of time and money getting trained. I picked up a few tricks along the way. I’m currently working full time but have enough free time and miss having a dog to walk. While I’m not ready for the commitment of a new pet I am ready to take good care of yours when you need someone to. I will care for your pet according to your specifications. I have had dogs all my adult life and know how specific we can be in how we care for our animals.

About: I’ve dog sat dogs from under 10 lbs to over 100 lbs. I am a Foster Dog Dad for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. I have fostered dogs for them almost 90 lbs with perfect personalities and healthy to dogs weighing 15 lbs who have issues with marking and three different medications they are taking. I work full-time but I go home for lunch and I’ve brought my dogs that I have fostered to work with me if they have separation anxiety. Play time after work. Going on walks upwards of 2 miles. Lots of fun play time on the weekends. I care for my fosters in my home. They have access to toys and plenty of space to move around. I don’t crate the dogs I’ve fosters. They get treated like a dog would be treated by their owner. Lots of love, attention, and care.

This is the third time we asked Melissa to care for our two cats...she has been fantastic for us! She allows us to leave for a trip knowing that our cats (and the house) are in such wonderful, caring hands. Her communication is great, emailing her interactions with the cats, photos, and updates everyday. I am so happy we found Melissa and will absolutely contact her for our next trip!

Rachel took care of my 14 year old lab the way she would her own. It’s hard to leave Bella in someone else’s care because of the extra challenges she brings at her age. Communication and updates are that much more important. Rachel did wonderfully! I highly recommend her, and feel at ease for future trips knowing Bella is in great hands! Thank you Rachel!
I was nervous leaving Lucy alone, Shyanne was amazing and made me feel so much better. Shyanne provided me with detailed updates every drop in visit and followed all of the directions for her food, and Lucy looked so comfortable and happy in the photos. Shyanne will be the first person I contact next time I leave town. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Aline was wonderful with our cat Star. She watched her for a few hours and was attentive, kind, and very easy to communicate with. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals and made sure Star was comfortable and well looked after the entire time. We really appreciated her reliability and the peace of mind she gave us while we were away. I would absolutely recommend Aline to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Kellyanne was wonderful, always on time and clearly very calm and gentle with animals. It gave me so much piece of mind knowing our kitty Kaia was in such caring hands while we were away . I would highly recommend Kellyanne to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter. She has a very calm personality and truly loves animals.
Camila was wonderful with our cat, Star. She was gentle, attentive, and very thoughtful throughout the visit. You can tell she truly loves animals—Star warmed up to her right away. She sent updates, made sure he was comfortable, and gave him plenty of affection and playtime. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend Camila!

Daniel is great. Very professional, communicates very well and took notes during our meet and greet to make sure he covered all the bases. He sent pictures of his visit with my dogs and I felt confident that they were well carried for while I was out. Would recommend and use would use again. Thanks so much

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
