i’m an online business owner, so my virtual work schedule caters well to house sitting! i enjoy building long-term relationships, becoming auntie to my clients’ dogs & cats. i do this by maximizing pets’ regular schedules so that theyre worn out and happy by the time their parents return home, as well as finding ways to enrich pets’ mind & body routines that i can share with their owners. for working dogs, for instance, i’ll implement two 45-60 minute walks each day as well as 2-3 playtimes. for active cats i’ll use chase toys to keep them engaged 3-5 times each day. for cuddley kids, i implement many scritches and lots of floor time for gentle play & snuggles. (active babies get the lovins too!!)

for house sitting, since i work online from home, i am around all day to engage pets whenever they need and keep an eye out for them to communicate their needs. i keep doors locked and take extra precautions for going inside/outside to prevent pets from escaping. (i used to be mama to an escape artist — i know the drill!) usually i will mirror what my clients normally do with their pets, but if i find questionable environmental hazards i notify & inquire with owners immediately. for pools i always double check about swimming abilities, and for animals who are chewers i check in about safe items for chewing/tearing up. (my pitty is a cardboard box fiend, but i would only apply my practices with owners who give their approval.)

things i need to know: - what is your daily routine like? - is the dog crate trained? - are they potty trained? - do they have any food allergies? - do they take medications? - how would you like me to handle an emergency? - are there any of the pet’s fears/anxieties i should be aware of?
A typical day
based on what your furkid likes, i’ll leave sliding doors open so they can sunbathe & hang outside with them the majority of the day or stay cuddled with them inside. for elderly pets i’ll get them gently into a pool and support them for exercise (& joy!), or ensure to lift them across different levels in the house to prevent them from jumping & straining their joints too much. for puppies we’ll play tag and run around like crazy (or go up and down stairs, like i did once at a recent hotel sitting!). for smartie pants & trained animals i’ll engineer a game of hide & seek or use their known commands to make a fun way to practice & play at the same time. whatever your pet’s personal tastes are, i’ll always find creative ways to accommodate :)

ive been taking care of dogs & cats professionally for 13 years, and now my partner and i care for & train our pitty Homer. my partner is a dog trainer so after 4 years with him i’ve become very familiar with proper leash, walking, and training rituals. he takes care of our pitty while i’m house sitting & taking care of your furbabies. i’m always sure to report abnormal habits, lumps, or injuries. i treat animals with respect because i know they have their own unique personalities and deserve to be cared for differently. i both enjoy and pride myself in learning how to be one of the best animal caretakers and advocates that each pet could have. if you let me, i will be an honest, loyal companion to your companions 💜 🚩 my one deal breaker is pets who sleep in bed with their owners. respectfully, if you expect a sitter to share a bed with your pets, do not message me.

We LOVE Kellyanne! It is really difficult to find somebody who can handle two big dogs, but still have a gentle touch, and Kellyanne was absolutely perfect with our two big pits. And not only did she take care of them as we would, but she went above and beyond giving one of our dogs medication that he ended up having to go on at the last minute before we left town. She even kept our house super clean and comfortable for our arrival home. She communicated daily, and sent pictures and videos. We will absolutely be rebooking with Kellyanne soon!
Kellyanne was wonderful, always on time and clearly very calm and gentle with animals. It gave me so much piece of mind knowing our kitty Kaia was in such caring hands while we were away . I would highly recommend Kellyanne to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter. She has a very calm personality and truly loves animals.
