“Lise is the best dog sitter I've ever had. She's communicative, caring and conscientious. Dogs and cat were happy when I arrived home and everything was in order. I will use her again and again to care for my animals.”

“Marissa was a wonderful sitter at my home: great communication, reliable and responsive. Five dogs, including one senior who is blind and a testy terrier who challenges everyone, is no small undertaking and yet I had complete confidence that they were all safe and well cared for while I was away visiting my mom out of state. I'm very grateful for her caring help, and look forward to working with her again.”
“Vicki was very professional and so sweet to both Baxter and me. I trusted that Baxter was in great hands, really reduced any stress I was feeling about using a new sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Ashlee took great care of our pooches including our incredibly energetic German Shepherd puppy! Her communication, complete with pictures, was great as well. Plus she left our home in at least as good shape as we left it. We’d be happy to book her again!”

“Angel was a great pet sitter for my dog and home. She communicated consistently and sent photos and videos. She was super sweet and trustworthy. My dog seemed healthy and happy. Thanks!”

“My whole experience with Mona from start to finish was excellent. She came to my home for a meet and greet right away. She is friendly, smart, efficient, kind, and respectful. She had a good sense of humor about dealing with the four spoiled cats. She called it “herding cats”. She took perfect care of my home, and even brought her own sheets and towels! I have already booked her for another stay in July. I give Mona an A++++!”

About: I have many years of experience with all dog breeds. My dog gets along great with other dogs too, so I’d love to introduce them if you would be open to that! I recently moved to Santa Fe from Boston for a new job opportunity. I am so excited to meet new clients and build bonds with your fur babies! I always walk dogs on a leash. I can also run with them if they prefer more intense exercise (or if you just want them to burn some energy so they get more sleep 😊). My partner and I work different shifts within normal business hours, so there is minimal time that your pet would be alone in our home. I would be off work by the afternoon every day and we have weekends off, so lots of opportunities for walks and visits! In my home, I always try to keep a close eye on them until I am comfortable with my familiarity of their behavior. I always watch them when they are outside. I am very accommodating to what makes them the most comfortable; for example, if the dog is used to sleeping on the bed with their humans, I am okay with having them sleep on my bed for the duration of their stay.
“Lisa is an incredible pet sitter! She stayed at our home with our two dogs and took great care of them. She sent us pictures everyday and gave updates about how they were doing. Both of our dogs require daily medication which she handled with ease. She is an excellent care giver and we will definitely ask her to watch our fur babies again!”

“Joshua watched my two labradors and house sat for me for 3 weeks over Christmas/ new years holiday. And I couldn’t be happier, he is a supper trustworthy guy who speaks fluent dog! My girls were happy and healthy after the long stay and even the plants looked healthier! I absolutely recommend him to take care of your baby’s!”

About: Since I moved to the United States from France twenty years ago, my 5 best friends had been my 5 dogs. I took great care of my dogs as though they were my children, until they all passed from old age. I have been loving all animals my entire life. I currently do not have pets due to the suffering I recently went through when my last dog Betsy passed away. When I’m not designing digitally or playing shows across New Mexico, I’m working from home with a completely flexible schedule. This means I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets! From midday potty breaks and fun games to long neighborhood walks, I’m ready to keep your furry friends company. When I care for pets in their own space, my priority is maintaining their established comfort zone and keeping their anxiety to an absolute minimum. Respecting the Home Ecosystem: I follow your exact house rules (e.g., allowed on the couch vs. floor-only, specific feeding spots, crating routines). The "Work from Your Home" Benefit: For overnight or extended house sitting, I bring my laptop and work right from your living room or kitchen table. Your pet gets the same "companion presence" they would get if you were home on a weekend. High-Quality Drop-Ins: For quick visits, I’m thorough. I don’t just rush in, scoop the food, and leave. I ensure the water bowl is scrubbed, accidents are checked for, and your pet gets dedicated, uninterrupted one-on-one affection and playtime. Security & Communication: I leave your home exactly as I found it (lock checks, bringing in mail/packages) and send you regular photo and text updates so you can see how happy and relaxed they are.

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and hands-on experience caring for pets of different ages and personalities. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I also volunteered for two years at the Santa Fe Humane Society, where I gained experience working with a variety of dogs and learned how to stay patient, attentive, and calm in different situations. I’m reliable, caring, and focused on making sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and affection they need. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine because I have a dog of my own, so I’m used to regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving pets consistent attention throughout the day. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets fits naturally into my weekly schedule. I care for pets by making sure they stay comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine as much as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and any special routines their pet is used to. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection so they feel relaxed while their owners are away.
“We booked with Stephen for house sitting to care for our two dogs, Tasha and Sadie, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. He kept in regular contact with us and was incredibly attentive to our pups. Being away was so much easier knowing they were in such capable and caring hands. We had complete peace of mind the entire time. We’ll absolutely be booking with Stephen again whenever we can!”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats my whole life so I understand the basics of training and taking care of them. I currently have an orange tabby named Prince who gets along super well with other dogs and cats! No worries if your pet doesn’t get along with others though, I can also have other people watch him while yours stays. I can care for pets whenever, I have classes throughout the week but since I stay on campus I’m never more than 5 minutes walking distance away from my dorm. On average I have about 3 hours of classes per week day so I’m home the rest of the time. I will be able to board always and do dog walks any day of the week. I have reliable transportation as well. My dorm is quite large so I have space to take care of pets, as well as toys and food and a litter box for cats if you can’t bring yours. I also live in a very outdoorsy campus so I can take dogs on long nature walks.
“She hit it off with my dogs right away, which was a pretty big green flag. My dogs are in kind of a unique situation where they needed to follow some extra rules to keep them separate and safe, and she did a great job of maintaining that. She sent pictures and photos of the pups while I was gone too, and it was really cute to see them having fun.”

“Jean-Philippe stayed with our three pets for almost three weeks. He was very attentive and was able to devote much of his time to our animals, which was necessary for our high energy puppy. Everyone was very happy when we arrived home and our house was left spotless.”

La Loma pet parents share their Rover experiences
Laurie was an amazing caretaker for my cat! She asked a lot of questions and was very gentle and sweet with my elderly cat. She stayed in touch with me and sent me pictures throughout her visit. She did a great job of keeping my house in order, and leaving at very clean. I would highly recommend Laurie for any pet sitting jobs. She was mature, responsible, and caring.

Hannah was amazing! Super reliable, kind, and attentive. She took such great care of both our elderly dog and our younger pup—making sure our senior got all his medications (even when we weren’t able to pre-sort them), and giving both dogs plenty of love and attention. She took our younger dog on walks and made sure they both felt comfortable and cared for while we were away. She also looked after our chickens and plants. And all looked great when we returned home! Hannah communicated regularly and sent us updates and photos. Thank you Hannah!!
