Loving cat aficionado!
I've discovered that cats have a lot of depth! Each is unique, and has very specific needs, from if & how they like affection, to their preferences for play and hiding places. Some require that they take initiative in approaching you. Some require impeccable litter boxes. Some are mischievous, especially when their family is away, and might do things that are out of the ordinary due to stress. I love the challenge of understanding their needs, meeting them, and helping them feel secure & loved as they're trying to figure out who their new caregiver is!

Sadly, I cannot provide pet care in my home. I own a condo that is not an ideal environment for pets due to it's very small square footage and lack of outdoor areas. I miss being able to have pets of my own at this time, so caring for those of others brings me great joy! As for caring for pets in your home, I care for the homes and pets of others as if they were my own, with the utmost love and respect. It's important that their environment be well maintained, especially when their family is away, as that can be a time of stress for some pets. Following their routines, and offering reassurance, companionship & cleanliness is important to make them feel safe and cared for. Each pet is unique, and I like to know the subtleties of their care, such as do they like affection, do they like play, etc., to show them the respect they deserve. I used to be an Early Childhood Director, and one of my degrees is in Early Childhood Education. It may sound odd, but I do believe this helps me in pet care. Pets are much like children in their needs for stability, love, reassurance, attention, routine, and respect for their uniqueness.

Laurie was a dream come true. When a sudden, unexpected trip pulled our family away in the midst of house construction, we were in a tizzy and had never used Rover. Laurie arrived like a fairy godmother and took our cats in her care. The workmen let them escape, accidentally left them in a room without their litterbox, food, or water, and various other potential disasters - and each time she handled the emergencies with care, consideration, and common sense. Her communication was great, and she left our home cleaner than it was when she got there. By the time we came home two weeks later, our cats were cuddling with her every night and were in great spirits in spite of everything. We will certainly be asking her to come back!
Laurie was an amazing caretaker for my cat! She asked a lot of questions and was very gentle and sweet with my elderly cat. She stayed in touch with me and sent me pictures throughout her visit. She did a great job of keeping my house in order, and leaving at very clean. I would highly recommend Laurie for any pet sitting jobs. She was mature, responsible, and caring.
I highly recommend Laurie to care for your home & pets! She has cared for both my Golden Retriever and my Husky for over 10 years, as well as for my home when I am away. She is very loving, pays great attention to detail, and even when she has a busy schedule, she makes the time to do all that is needed to be sure my pets and home are well cared for. I like that I can trust her judgement. She has taken my pets to the vet as needed, and given medication at times. She is attuned to any concerns that may arise with my home or pets and she communicates well. Laurie is pleasant, positive in nature, hard-working, and excels at problem solving... she is industrious! Again, I fully recommend her for your home and pet care needs. My dogs have just loved her over the years.
Laurie was great in caring for my 2 dogs and elderly cat and chickens , she is responsible, proactive and communicates well. I felt very confident leaving the animals and my house in her care. She will go above and beyond to make sure all is well.

Schedule
I can provide ample morning and evening care daily, and additional time with your pets on weekends. I do work later into the evening 2 nights per week, but come home for pet care & attention mid-shift. I do prefer extended sits. It's a rewarding experience to settle into a routine with a pet and develop rapport. Also, it requires nearly as much packing and unpacking to stay at a home for just a few days as it does for a month, so why not enjoy extended stays! ☺️.
