“Paulina and her family did a great job with our pug! This was the first time we used the app to find a dog sitter, but this was a great experience. I would definitely have her watch my dog again.”

About: World reknown cat lady and dog lady in search of new furbaby friends! My specialty is senior and geriatric pets. Special needs are no problem so long as you can be honest and clear about how to care for them. Communication is key! Currently taking classes online so I'm able to stay home with your pets full time. I only book one client at a time so you can rest assured your pet(s) will get exclusive care and my full attention. Chicago is my hometown but I've also done Rover pet sitting in Spain and California. Grew up with pets all my life - dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, reptiles, horses, birds, you name it. My childhood home in Palos Park was always full of animals. Cared for many senior and disabled pets as an adult both adopting and providing foster care via various rescue organizations including St Sofia's Forgotten Felines of Illinois. I only book one client at a time so I'm able to stay at home with your pet(s) full time. All I need is wifi for my classes in order to provide 24/7 care and supervision. Available for both short and long term bookings. You can count on me to shower your pets with plenty of nonstop love and attention! I'm also in the habit of keeping things tidy because a clean home is a happy home. Seeing how reviews from British clients don't appear on my US profile, just let me know if you would like to receive additional references.

About: I’ve been dog-sitting and house-sitting for clients locally for the past 15 years. I’m an avid animal advocate and treat others pets like my own. In my spare time as a health coach, I enjoy researching pet wellness and nutrition. My clients know when they go out of town that their pet is in good hands. My current schedule and availability for pet-sitting is open, as I complete additional training for health coaching. I also work remote but have flexibility on the weekdays and I’m open on weekends. I provide care for your pets based off the directions and specifications provided. All pets are completely unique and have different needs and levels of care. I enjoy providing extra attention and play to dogs/cats who have anxiety. This can get overlooked when families are busy in their routines, and is so important for pet wellness. I have many friends who have pets with “behavioral issues,” that end up being alleviated with some extra attention, love and play.

About: I’ve had a family dog for 13 years! Nori and Ruma are adopted 3-4 years ago. I’ve had them since they were both 2 months old. I can bathe your dog if needed, and take them on daily walks! I’m a registered nurse that is taking the summer off. I have plenty of time to care for your pets! My dogs typically go outside as early as 7am and random times throughout the day, weather permitting. I have a fenced area specifically for my dogs in my fenced backyard. If they’re inside, they will stay a large closed room in the basement, or they hang out upstairs with me.

About: Working in the animal welfare field for a few years now has allowed me to obtain lots of skills other sitters may not obtain. Need to give your pet medication as you are gone? No problem for this experienced veterinary technician! Have an additional set of ease, for you know that your pet is with a sitter that has been trained in first aid, CPR, and even anesthesia! I know what to look for when your pet is staying outside of home. With time I have for my online college courses, I can have the best of both worlds. Sitting your pet while also furthering my education simultaneously. Your pet will truly enjoy my two sided fully fenced backyard! Lots of room to run around and chase a ball or chill on the patio if wanted. Fortunately, pets are allowed on my couch as well, allowing them to snuggle and have comfortablity in my home.

“Our two yellow labs had a great time staying with Pete and Jethro. Pete took our more active guy, Ajax, for a run, and our couch potato, Starsky, really hit it off with Pete's dog, Jethro. Starsky sometimes has trouble getting along with new dogs, so this was a huge accomplishment for him, and a big relief for us to know they were in excellent hands. The boys are looking forward to a longer stay in a couple of weeks. Thank you, Pete and Jethro!”

La Grange Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Judith is an absolute pro. She took such good care of our cats, dog, and turtle! The communications from start to finish were outstanding. Judith was also extremely flexible with us which was important since our schedule was constantly in flux. We cannot recommend Judith highly enough.

If I could give Dezmond double stars, I would. From the booking to the meet and greet to the consistent communication throughout the weekend I felt so comfortable and at ease leaving my pup with Dezmond for the weekend. Duke had a great time with his dogs, I received some adorable photos throughout the weekends, updates on his food/drinking/bathroom habits (my dog is in the sensitive tummy club), and he was very prompt with timing. I will definitely be booking with Dezmond again and recommend anybody looking for a hands on and active caretaker for their pet to book with Dezmond ASAP!
