“Betsy was so so great! She sent pictures and updates. I’m grateful for her flexibility after booking last minute. Tater loved her and was very comfortable with her! I will definitely be reaching out to Betsy next time I need someone to check in on Tater.”
“Five stars isn’t even enough for Stacey, I wish I could leave more. She is always right on top of communicating and goes above and beyond taking care of your fur family. We had a family medical emergency and found ourselves away from home for almost 2 weeks - she was so quick to respond to my urgent request, and happy help. Not only did she take great care of our girls (2 very needy of attention indoor kitties) but she watered plants, and cleaned up the chaos we had left behind (washed dishes, checked on our basement after that hurricane came through). It was such a relief knowing we had someone putting eyes on our home while we were away, while sending multiple picture updates every time she stopped in. I couldn’t recommend Stacey more highly.”
“I can’t say enough good things about Stephanie. She took incredible care of my cat while I was away and made the whole experience completely stress-free. She was super reliable, kept me updated with messages and photos, and it was obvious my cat was comfortable and well cared for. You can tell she really loves animals and goes the extra mile. Everything was clean, my cat was happy, and I came home with total peace of mind. I would 100% book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“Courtney was fantastic with my dog. Great communication and sent pictures to update me while I was gone. It was much easier to be away knowing she was in great hands!”

Walking pups and hanging out with them fulfills my happiness and of course a way to feel like I am useful and giving back... I am extremely reliable and dependable. I will make sure you can count on me with no worries with your furry baby:) I have my own vehicle and can be counted on with in minutes.. I'm in great shape so walking and running come very easy. I have experience and would make sure you can rest easy with me spending time with your pet!

Find me on Instagram - shewolfcanineservices Fun fact about me: I am currently studying dog behavior and psychology and moving towards becoming a certified dog trainer! I focus on creating walks that are both physically stimulating and mentally engaging, tailored to each dog’s energy level, temperament, and needs. I make sure each walk is a safe and positive experience. I treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for in every interaction. For me, dogs are more than pets—they’re companions, teachers, and a source of endless joy. Being able to support their well-being is not just my work, but my passion. My schedule is flexible and does change often. However, Sometimes I get called into work so if I am watching your dog, you have to be okay with me leaving my house and allow me to work my other job. Though this does not happen often. If it does I will let you know. As I do with my own dog, I come back after work, let him out and give him love and attention. That’s what your dog will get from me as well. If I am gone too long, my boyfriend would is just as dependable as I am will let the dogs out and feed them. He helps if I need help, but I rarely ever need help. I have 3 different size crates at my place (small, medium, large) so if I need to crate your dog before I leave my house, let me know. I will care for your pup as directed and will provide a peaceful environment for them as well as playtime, nap time, and keeping a consistent schedule. I will provide stimulation as needed based on the dogs energy levels.

About: I have multiple years of experience with both housesitting and babysitting, which has helped me know how important it is to stick to feeding schedules, keep spaces tidy, and provide consistent care and companionship. I grew up with dogs of all sizes and breeds, so I’m very comfortable adapting to different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and responsible, and I always make sure to follow instructions carefully so your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. Excited to meet your pup! I am available after 5pm to watch your pets while you go party! I’ll come to you at your house, resort, rental, etc. and make sure your pet is comfortable, entertained, fed, watered, and gets adequate potty breaks. I provide attentive in-home pet care, maintaining routines, feeding schedules, exercise, and medications as needed! Your pet will be comfortable and safe in a familiar environment while you’re away. Important Notes: -I do not transport your pet in my personal vehicle -I do not board your pet in my home -I do not take your pet off-leash when outdoors at any point, nor purposefully bring them into environments with potentially unfamiliar dogs (like dog parks) These terms are for both my own safety and the safety of your pet!
“Katie is so accommodating and sweet. My doggie loved her! She made me have a piece of mind by texting and providing pictures and positivity. She’s communicative and professional. I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover and genuinely enjoy spending time with pets of all personalities and energy levels. As a veteran, I’m naturally dependable and pay attention to the little details, but I also know pets need love, patience, and comfort while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and love keeping owners updated with pictures and messages so they can relax knowing their babies are safe, happy, and getting lots of attention. I’m an active duty Coast Guard wife, looking to control my own schedule while doing something i love. I currently dont work so i have open availability I keep my pets trained and on a schedule. They get fed twice a day and i walk them at least twice a day. (Yes that includes the cat)… i live in a trailer so i make sure to keep them entertained and that they have enough outside time since we live in a small space. I make sure our place is tidy and clean and we have enough toys to calm their anxiety. I will treat other’s pets as my own
About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 15. Both friends and family have relied on me to-walk, feed, bathe, administer medications and give extra love to their fur babies. Growing up as a child I have always had a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My current experience in pet care is from working at a veterinary clinic and boarding facility so i can proudly say I have extensive experience with dogs from all walks of life. I have befriended anxious dogs who fear human and earned the acceptance of aggressive dogs. I’ve also worked with animals on a strict medical schedule. While I am currently working full time I am able to care for your fur babies before work(8am) during lunch(anywhere from 11am-2pm) or after work (5:30pm). If needed times can be adjusted please let me know at least 72hrs in advance. When letting pets outside I have a routine I like to follow. The most important thing to me is the pets safety so before letting them into the yard for play and or potty time I do check the yard for any misplace objects, iguanas, chickens, anything that could be a potential hazard to the pet. After I’ve deemed the yard clear then we can proceed to playtime or potty time. When on walks I do like to keep a short leash depending on the area in which we are walking if no cars I will loosen the lead so pet can explore more but if cars present I do like to stop/heel if possible.
“Annie has been great while I figure out this app and arrangement for my furbaby! She was quick to respond, initiated a meet and greet right away, and her first visit was a success! Will be hiring Annie for regularly scheduled play dates with my Chloe when work keeps us away too long”

Gayle was so wonderful with my cat! I was very nervous leaving my cat for 10 days but Gayle made me feel so much more at ease. I received daily photos and videos and she really took the time to get to know my cat. Would highly recommend her and would use her services again.

The sitter I arranged fell through so it was Katie to the rescue! She stayed in touch with me so I didn’t worry. She followed my instructions exactly. Which was really important considering how old my cat is. If I have to go out of town again, you bet I’m gonna reach out to her First. Trust me, your pets are in great care with this gal.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
