We also didn’t have the opportunity to meet Courtney in person, but her personality shined through in her texts and we knew she was trustworthy. She accessed the rental by herself, loved on our Hula, sent us a pic, and stayed in touch while we were away. Hula was happy when we came back. About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. Growing up I spent summers working with animals on my grandparents farm. I got my first puppy at 10 and raised him his entire life through middle school, high school, and he even got to see me graduate college with a social work degree. I currently have two rescue bunnies, an 8 year old rescue mutt and a 3 month old dachsund. I am currently training with a reactive pitbull mix who I walk every morning. I’ve been house sitting for family friends for years and saw this as an amazing opportunity to do more of that! I’m experienced with a wide range of animals and can also care for rabbits and other small animals. I am a business owner her in Key West, local and grew up here! I’m an artist. A potter specifically with my own studio and gallery. In my home safety is a priority. I have prey animals (bunnies) and predators (my dog) living in a shared space. Individuals with experience know that when any animals are interacting supervision is 100% always necessary. Whatever your preference is within your home whether it be pet gates, crates, a locked front door or fence, I completely understand and would prefer to follow vigilantly for your pets safety as well as mine. My dog is not allowed certain chews that I might deem dangerous so I completely understand those restrictions as well! Whatever makes your dog feel most safe an comfortable.

About: I am experienced in caring for puppies, kittens, and older dogs and cats and their requirements, as well as with special needs dogs and cats from physical care (diabetes, seizures) to mental care (abused and traumatized) and the special consideration they require. My goal is always to ensure that your fur babies are content, secure, and happy so that you can be stress-free, knowing they are well taken care of. As a local schoolteacher and summer co-counselor of Critter Camp at the Keys SPCA, I am available before (5-7 am) and after school (5-8 pm). Weekends are also available. I believe fur babies do best in their natural environment (home sweet home), so yes, they will miss you, but it is more comfortable for them to stay in your/their home rather than in a strange environment. I will show them how happy I am to see them and follow your instructions on food, water, walks, and any specials your fur baby would enjoy and require. I will send you a short update via text, and I am open to any questions you may have while you are away.
