About: I've been surrounded by dogs since I was a child, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. Over the years, I've looked after the pets of my family and friends, making sure they felt safe, loved, and well cared for. I also have my own rescue dog, whom I adopted from a shelter. About: Finding good, trustworthy, affordable care for your pets in the Keys can be challenging. Our family struggled for years to find a pet sitter and dog walker we could trust. So when I finally retired, I wanted to be able to do for others what I wish I could find for my family. I absolutely adore dogs and cats and have cared for my own (plus too many fosters to count) for over 30 years. I volunteer for several pet rescues and my husband and I have set up our family run 501c3 rescue transport with a dream of starting our own dog sanctuary someday. I am extremely active and one of my true joys is dog walking and outdoor playtime so rest assured your dogs will get plenty of exercise (if that’s what you’d like). I am retired and have an extremely flexible schedule so whether it’s just a single mid day walk or 3-4x a day visits while you’re on vacation, I can be there. I have a great deal of experience in special needs (I have 3 myself) and elderly dogs and cats and treat them with special patience and understanding. This was our second time using Stephanie as a dog sitter. She was accountable, trustworthy, and responsible. She sends the BEST pictures of our pets and they obviously love their time with her on walks. She is a pro at expressing our paralyzed dog’s bladder and fearlessly pushes him around town in his stroller. She is the best! I think my dogs love her more than me at this point.

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
