“Halle was great with our dog, Nelli! She came the day before to meet us all and was flexible when I asked for the walk to be an hour before what I originally requested. We will definitely be using Halle again!”

About: Lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for puppies through senior dogs. I’ve helped rescue and rehome dogs, so I’m confident working with different needs and personalities. Attentive, active, and consistent with care. I work from home full-time, so I’m able to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. I can easily schedule walks, playtime, and feedings, and my fenced yard allows for safe outdoor time. I keep a clean, safe, and calm environment in my home. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully, respect your space, and make sure your pet stays on their normal routine. I’m reliable and detail-oriented.
“Fast response, meet and greet went really well and great communication both before and after the walks. Arrived on time, I am sure the dogs enjoyed their walks, got a couple treats after, full water bowls and they were supper happy when we got home. Thanks!!”

About: I’m currently a pet mom of 2 awesome pups and also have multiple grand pups and cats! I grew up on a farm raising every kind of animal imaginable and have continued my love for all animals throughout my adult life. One of my current pups is deaf so I have experience with special needs and my daughter works at the local vet which offers me extra perks as well. I absolutely love all animals (probably more than humans😜) and will take care of your babies like they are my own! I am self-employed and work from home so my schedule is super flexible. I can stay at your home for overnights or simply come visit your babies every couple of hours for walks, feeding and playtime. Depending on your pet (dog only), I can also bring them to my home for playtime with my pups. I am super attentive (maybe too attentive!) and very cautious when dealing with any animal. I understand they are your babies and safety is number one! If we visit my home, my dogs are super friendly sandbar dogs and I have a fenced yard for everyone to play.
About: I have owned dogs for over 40 years, multiple breeds. I have personally trained and shown dogs in conformation, obedience and hunt tests and field trials for the last 20 years. I also worked as a vet tech at one time and have experience with puppies and seniors with medical needs. I work full time from home, so I am available most all of the day. I have two dogs of my own that I care for daily. I have a fully fenced in yard, dogs must have a meet and greet with mine to make sure they are compatible. Prefer in home sitting.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10. I’ve had farm animals. I’ve bottle raised animals. I’ve taken care of kittens and bottle fed them. I am a dog lover and passionate for animals. I have a fenced in yard. I’m home all day. I am currently not employed and have more time on my hands for Dog Sitting. I’m a part-time substitute Teacher. I am reliable and will do my best to accommodate pet owners than need pet sitting. I have a fenced in yard with two friendly dogs that are best friends. I will also go to clients homes and walk their dogs and feed them. I do not do overnight dog or cat sitting at another home.
About: I have been around animals my whole life. I currently have an 8 month old English bulldog named Rocco. He is very friendly and still learning. Able to be available anytime after 5pm monday through friday and anytime on the weekend. I am able come to your home and walk and feed. My dog is up to date on his shots and is crate trained. If I am selected to care for your animals I will feed and walk on your schedule but I will not be able to house sit in my home.
About: I have lived in the keys for over 12 years and have helped many residents find dogs to adopt and have helped with training and exercising dogs. I have been caring for dogs and cats most of my life. I run a non profit animal rescue and have cared for as many as 20 dogs at a time. I am a PhD professional and I work from home. I am looking to raise money for my rescue and looking for dogs to exercise with. My 3 dogs will only do so much!! It has always been challenging to find people I trust to sit my dogs or care for them if I can't so I want to help my neighbors by offering this service. Let's discuss what I can do to assist you and your furry friends in living your best balanced life together. I work from home so I can easily take a break to let your dog out or take him for a run or walk. I can even take him to a sandbar or a paddle board ride. Dogs for boarding or day care in my home will be based on a case by case basis. I will come to your house as many times as needed to care for your pets. Dogs that come to my house will be exercised in whatever way they need, I have a fenced yard. I prefer to have over night dogs crated...but any over night dogs will be screened prior to make sure it's a good fit.
About: I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely treat every pet like my own! I’m great with puppies; routine, training basics, and gentle structure. I’m equally comfortable caring for seniors who need extra calm and comfort. I pay close attention to body language and behavior, so you can trust your pet is safe, understood, and truly cared for!! This isn’t just a job to me; I love creating a happy, peaceful experience for every animal I meet! I am working part time, so I am flexible to fit the timing and needs of you and your pets! Weekdays are the best bet for me, weekends can be a little tricky! Whether your pet is in my home or I’m in yours, I focus on creating a calm, clean, and comfortable environment! I follow your routines closely; feeding times, walks, potty breaks, cues, and any training you’re working on! Your pet will feel safe with me! In your home, I keep things tidy, respect your space, and make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and snuggles of course! When it comes to sitting in my own home, I have a golden puppy, under a year; also a cat, so sitting in my clients home would be my best option!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I have taken care of many different types of dogs of neighbors, friends, and family members and I have a passion for doing so. Your dog will be in exceptional hands! I live in Huron Village right next to Fresh Pond and will be studying for my NCLEX (the nursing board exam). I will typically have all day free including weekends. Lots of love, treats, walks, and plenty of play time. If you have any special requests of any kind, please do not hesitate to contact me and coordinate!
About: I house sat for multiple neighbors when I was in high school. Since then I have house sat or helped friends with their pets through out the years. These jobs were always just as favors, but they would return to me for the job they needed. I come from a family with lots of animals. We always had dogs, cats, rabbits, and horses growing up. All for pets and I love them all! ☺️ I work from home part time. Thus my hours for this job are very flexible. I would prefer to work mid day between 10:00-2:00 MTWF I can not accommodate in home services. Due to roommate’s dog sometimes having an issue with other animals and sometimes not having an issue with other animals. Thus I can not risk there being an issue with your animal.
About: Hi there! My name is Taylor, and I recently graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Biology. I’ve been pet sitting for over 8 years, starting back in high school, and I absolutely love spending time with animals of all kinds! I have experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and training levels—including dogs, cats, and more. I am currently a summer intern at the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, where I care for sea turtles on a daily basis. While I’m unable to provide in-home boarding, I offer drop-in visits and overnight stays in your home to keep your pets comfortable in their own environment. I'm based in Surf City but happy to travel to nearby areas. I'd love the opportunity to meet your furry (or scaly!) loved ones. Looking forward to connecting with you soon! Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m available for in-home stays or drop-in visits and can provide walks and care before work (around 7 AM), during lunch (around noon), and after work (around 4 PM). I also have availability throughout the evening and overnight, making it easy for me to accommodate a variety of schedules and pet needs! As a summer intern currently staying in provided housing, I'm not able to offer in-home boarding. However, I'm very comfortable caring for pets in their own homes and have extensive experience with both drop-in visits and overnight stays. I make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely and provide plenty of attention, playtime, and care to keep them happy and comfortable while you're away! It is very important to me that you are confident your pet is taken care of with no worries, so I like to send frequent updates and photos as well. It's also very important to me that my clients come home to a clean, tidy house—just the way they left it.

About: I’m a huge animal lover and the type of person who will absolutely stop to say hi to every dog I pass. I truly love caring for animals and making them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home while their owners are away. I’ve been watching dogs and cats for years for friends, family, referrals, and people I’ve met along the way, and I genuinely enjoy every minute of it. Growing up, my family helped with dog rescues — and still do today — so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I love getting to know every pet’s unique personality. I also have experience with longer-term care and have watched pets for entire summers (up to 3 months at a time), so I understand how important consistency, patience, and trust are when caring for someone’s furry family member. My goal is always to make your pet feel like they’re on their own little vacation while you’re away and make sure they are happy, loved, comfortable, and cared for. I know leaving your pet with someone is a big deal, and I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and someone you can genuinely feel comfortable trusting with your pet. I would be so excited and grateful for the opportunity to meet you and your pet 🐶🐱. I work from home remotely a lot and am able to take full care of your pets on the weekends and most weekdays. It is a hobby/job for me because I love animals so much! I treat everyone’s pets like my own. Growing up, I had cats, dogs, horses, and every animal you could think of. I would love to have an animal now of my own, but I travel often!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
