“Grace did a great job with our dog, Avery. We met her to drop off keys prior and she was on time and very friendly and nice. She took good care of our Avery and we'd highly recommend her to others.”

“Marti came over the day before to get acquainted with the dogs and for us to meet her and what we needed for the dogs . The next day she came over twice to take the dogs out and visit with them. Over all we and the dogs had a very good experience.”

“Tina took care of my two cats after a friend recommended her. Not only did she do everything I asked her to do she really took time to learn their personalities and befriend them. She was trustworthy, responsible and dependable. My first experience with Rover too and I was impressed and would recommend both Tina and Rover.”

“Halle was amazing! She took such good care of our two cats while we were away, we loved getting daily pictures of them playing and having fun. This was the longest we’d left them for a trip but we weren’t worried at all since Halle kept us updated on them all the time! We will absolutely have her come hang out with them again next time we go out of town”

About: Hi! I’ve been around pets for over 20 years, ever since I lived in Mexico, so I truly understand how much they mean to us—they’re part of the family. I’ve always loved being around animals, caring for them, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I have a home with a fully fenced yard, which is perfect for dogs to play, explore, and enjoy themselves safely. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Happy to help your dog to be health and socialized more. Im available monday - friday 4-7pm Tuesday and thursday 8-10am, im gonna make sure your dog receives the best care possible. I have a fenced big yard and a cute almost 3y lil boy that also loves dogs to play with. If you dont have time I can walk your dog around our neighboor hood
About: Lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for puppies through senior dogs. I’ve helped rescue and rehome dogs, so I’m confident working with different needs and personalities. Attentive, active, and consistent with care. I work from home full-time, so I’m able to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. I can easily schedule walks, playtime, and feedings, and my fenced yard allows for safe outdoor time. I keep a clean, safe, and calm environment in my home. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully, respect your space, and make sure your pet stays on their normal routine. I’m reliable and detail-oriented.
“Marina is absolutely THE BEST! Since the first meeting all the fur babies loved her, she has such a great energy around them. During the entire time kept us at ease with updates, pictures and even videos. Our beloved pets were cared for like if we were there, we traveled with the peace of mind that everything was in order, which was priceless. We are so grateful for her professionalism, kindness to our pets and understanding to our needs. We were really lucky to find her! BEST EVER!!!”

“Deborah was wonderful with our Rosie and Raven. Raven is very skittish and she was patient and worked with her and Raven even ate out of her hand by the end of the visit. She kept us posted on her visits and sent many pictures. I am very thankful to have found her for our girls.”

About: I have owned dogs for over 40 years, multiple breeds. I have personally trained and shown dogs in conformation, obedience and hunt tests and field trials for the last 20 years. I also worked as a vet tech at one time and have experience with puppies and seniors with medical needs. I work full time from home, so I am available most all of the day. I have two dogs of my own that I care for daily. I have a fully fenced in yard, dogs must have a meet and greet with mine to make sure they are compatible. Prefer in home sitting.
About: I’m a huge animal lover and the type of person who will absolutely stop to say hi to every dog I pass. I truly love caring for animals and making them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home while their owners are away. I’ve been watching dogs and cats for years for friends, family, referrals, and people I’ve met along the way, and I genuinely enjoy every minute of it. Growing up, my family helped with dog rescues — and still do today — so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I love getting to know every pet’s unique personality. I also have experience with longer-term care and have watched pets for entire summers (up to 3 months at a time), so I understand how important consistency, patience, and trust are when caring for someone’s furry family member. My goal is always to make your pet feel like they’re on their own little vacation while you’re away and make sure they are happy, loved, comfortable, and cared for. I know leaving your pet with someone is a big deal, and I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and someone you can genuinely feel comfortable trusting with your pet. I would be so excited and grateful for the opportunity to meet you and your pet 🐶🐱. I work from home remotely a lot and am able to take full care of your pets on the weekends and most weekdays. It is a hobby/job for me because I love animals so much! I treat everyone’s pets like my own. Growing up, I had cats, dogs, horses, and every animal you could think of. I would love to have an animal now of my own, but I travel often!
About: I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely treat every pet like my own! I’m great with puppies; routine, training basics, and gentle structure. I’m equally comfortable caring for seniors who need extra calm and comfort. I pay close attention to body language and behavior, so you can trust your pet is safe, understood, and truly cared for!! This isn’t just a job to me; I love creating a happy, peaceful experience for every animal I meet! I am working part time, so I am flexible to fit the timing and needs of you and your pets! Weekdays are the best bet for me, weekends can be a little tricky! Whether your pet is in my home or I’m in yours, I focus on creating a calm, clean, and comfortable environment! I follow your routines closely; feeding times, walks, potty breaks, cues, and any training you’re working on! Your pet will feel safe with me! In your home, I keep things tidy, respect your space, and make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and snuggles of course! When it comes to sitting in my own home, I have a golden puppy, under a year; also a cat, so sitting in my clients home would be my best option!
“Annie has been great while I figure out this app and arrangement for my furbaby! She was quick to respond, initiated a meet and greet right away, and her first visit was a success! Will be hiring Annie for regularly scheduled play dates with my Chloe when work keeps us away too long”

About: Finding good, trustworthy, affordable care for your pets in the Keys can be challenging. Our family struggled for years to find a pet sitter and dog walker we could trust. So when I finally retired, I wanted to be able to do for others what I wish I could find for my family. I absolutely adore dogs and cats and have cared for my own (plus too many fosters to count) for over 30 years. I volunteer for several pet rescues and my husband and I have set up our family run 501c3 rescue transport with a dream of starting our own dog sanctuary someday. I am extremely active and one of my true joys is dog walking and outdoor playtime so rest assured your dogs will get plenty of exercise (if that’s what you’d like). I am retired and have an extremely flexible schedule so whether it’s just a single mid day walk or 3-4x a day visits while you’re on vacation, I can be there. I have a great deal of experience in special needs (I have 3 myself) and elderly dogs and cats and treat them with special patience and understanding. I have experience with puppies and their challenges and I have an impressive understanding of breed and behaviors. Rest assured that I will treat your pets with respect, kindness, love and affection while also adhering to the structure and rules that you have for your pets. Please feel free to message me with any questions or if you’d like to set up a meet and greet. I look forward to meeting lots of new dogs friends. I am retired and have a very flexible schedule. I primarily pet sit in the Lower Keys but am also available for Key West for dog walking. I have a large fenced yard which opens into a park for playtime. We also have a doggie door and large porch for sunning and watching the neighborhood. I take my dogs on 2-3 walks a day along a little traveled area near our home.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
